Simultaneous Sorption of Copper and Chromium Cations to Wastewater Treatment | CОВМЕСТИМАЯ СОРБЦИЯ КАТИОНОВ МЕДИ И ХРОМА С ЦЕЛЬЮ ОЧИСТКИ СТОЧНЫХ ВОД | СУМІСНА СОРБЦІЯ КАТІОНІВ КУПРУМУ ТА ХРОМУ ДЛЯ ОЧИЩЕННЯ СТІЧНИХ ВОД

English. Various industrial enterprises use heavy metals that are common and very toxic pollutants, resulting in polluting the ocean by the emissions from industrial and domestic effluents. Since all heavy metals and toxic maximum permissible concentration averages about 0.1 mg/l, for purification of waste water sorption it is appropriate to apply methods that allow removing least amounts of impurities. In this study we have investigated the change of the chemical composition of the surface of the zeolite as a result of sorption of heavy metals. We have also analysed the influence of the nature of the ions and pH selectivity in absorption of heavy metals removal zeolite. Thus the research has revealed that copper ions were absorbed by sorbent much better compared to chromium ions. Despite the equivalent concentrations of chromium and copper ions in the solution is the selective removal of Cu2+. Secondly, the concentration of copper on the surface of sorbent increases. The concentration of chromium ions on the surface of the sorbent after adsorption was dependent on increasing the concentration of Cr3+ in the initial solution. Thirdly, the quantity reduction of calcium, magnesium, iron and rare earth metals on the surface of the sorbent were identified. This is due to the interaction of ion-exchange hydrogen ions and heavy metals from the test solution with zeolite. As a result, these exchange cations move from the surface of the sorbent into solution. We may come to the conclusion that the study objective is met. We defined elemental composition of the surface of the sorbent after heavy metals absorbing from the binary system containing ions Cu2 + and Cr3 + by X-ray fluorescence method. The mechanism of sorption extraction of copper and chromium from solution was theoretically considered. We have also established the selective extraction of metals depends of element radius and its hydroxides solubility. Conditions of hydroxides of the metals sedimentation have been calculated and logarithmic chart of two-component system, depending on the pH has been built.

Russian. Представлены результаты экспериментальных исследований совместной адсорбции катионов меди и хрома естественным цеолитом в статических условиях. Исследовано изменение химического состава поверхности цеолита в результате сорбции тяжелых металлов. Проанализировано влияние природы ионов и рН среды поглощения на селективность извлечения ионов тяжелых металлов цеолитом. Построена диаграмма состава раствора в зависимости от значений рН. Рассчитано значение рН начала осаждения соответствующих гидроксилов тяжелых металлов на поверхности цеолита. Объяснены причины селективного извлечения меди из двухкомпонентного раствора.

Ukrainian. Наведено результати експериментальних досліджень сумісної адсорбції катіонів купруму та хрому природним цеолітом у статичних умовах. Досліджено зміну хімічного складу поверхні цеоліту внаслідок сорбції важких металів. Проаналізовано вплив природи іонів та рН середовища поглинання на селективність вилучення іонів важких металів цеолітом. Побудовано діаграму складу розчину залежно від значень рН. Розраховано рН початку осадження відповідних гідроксидів важких металів на поверхні цеоліту. Пояснено причини селективного вилучення купруму з двокомпонентного розчину.
