Effect of VIUSID® Agro on the ex vitro acclimatization of Zingiber officinale Roscoe | Efecto de VIUSID® Agro en la aclimatización ex vitro de Zingiber officinale Roscoe

English. In vitro propagation of ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) ensures healthy seed, but requires high plant survival and development during the ex vitro acclimatization period. VIUSID® Agro is a plant growth biostimulant that could contribute to this goal. The objective of the research was to determine the effect of applying VIUSID® Agro to in vitro ginger plants during their acclimatization in a green house. VIUSID® Agro  (0.5 and 0.8 ml l-1) was applied twice daily during the first three days, and once a week with a foliar application starting seven days after planting until 45 days. A control without application was used. Survival was evaluated 15 days after planting and at 90 days plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), number of leaves, main root length (cm), and number of roots. After 15 days of culture, treatment with VIUSID® Agro significantly increased survival. Furthermore, after 90 days of cultivation, the plants achieved the greatest growth and development with this biostimulant. The use of VIUSID® Agro positively influenced the ex vitro acclimatization of the in vitro ginger plants.

La propagación in vitro de jengibre (Zingiber officinale Roscoe), asegura la obtención de semilla sana pero se requiere que durante el periodo de aclimatización ex vitro se alcance elevada supervivencia y buen desarrollo de las plantas. El VIUSID® Agro es un bioestimulante del crecimiento de las plantas que podría contribuir a este propósito. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar el efecto de la aplicación del VIUSID® Agro  a plantas in vitro de jengibre durante su aclimatización en casa de cultivo. El VIUSID® Agro  (0.5 y 0.8 ml l-1), se aplicó los primeros tres días (dos veces al día) y a partir de los siete días de plantación una vez por semana con una aplicación foliar hasta los 45 días. Se empleó un control sin aplicación. Se evaluó la supervivencia a los 15 días después de plantadas y a los 90 días la altura de la planta (cm), el diámetro del tallo (cm), el número de hojas, la longitud de la raíz principal (cm) y el número de raíces. A los 15 días de cultivo, el tratamiento con VIUSID® Agro  incrementó significativamente la supervivencia. Además, a los 90 días de cultivo el mayor crecimiento y desarrollo de las plantas se alcanzó en el tratamiento con este bioestimulante. El empleo del VIUSID® Agro  influyó positivamente en la aclimatización ex vitro de las plantas in vitro de jengibre.
