The influence of harvest time on some characters of two varieties of common orchard grass | Wpływ terminu zbioru na wybrane cechy dwóch odmian kupkówki pospolitej

English. Effects of the date of first regrowth cut on plant height, yield and total protein and crude fibre content in two orchard grass varieties Amera and Astera were studied in 1997–1999 on a mineral soil of the IIIb class. The Amera variety demonstrated a higher growth and development rate during the first regrowth. Depending on years it had ears by 7–14 days earlier than the Astera variety. The highest qualitative and quantitative changes were found just before the earing time of both varieties, i.e. in the last days of their usefulness for grazing. Dynamics of changes determining the effect of the date of first regrowth cut were described mathematically and with graphs for both varieties. Because of high determination coefficients found the dynamics allow to assess the parameters under study with a high accuracy at a specific day of first regrowth cut.

W latach 1997–1999 na glebie mineralnej klasy IIIb badano wpływ terminu zbioru pierwszego odrostu na wysokość roślin, plonowanie oraz zawartość białka ogólnego i włókna surowego dwóch odmian kupkówki pospolitej Amera i Astera. Odmiana Amera wykazywała się szybszym tempem wzrostu i rozwoju w okresie narastania pierwszego odrostu. W zależności od lat kłosiła się o 7–14 dni wcześniej od odmiany Astera. Największe ilościowe i jakościowe zmiany stwierdzono tuż przed wykłoszeniem się odmian, a więc w ostatnich dniach ich przydatności do użytkowania pastwiskowego. Z wiosennego tempa rozwoju odmian wynika, że przydatność do tego sposobu użytkowania wczesnej odmiany Amera kończyła się na przełomie I i II dekady maja, a odmiany Astera o około 7–10 dni później. W oparciu o wyniki analizy korelacji i regresji plonowania oraz składu chemicznego można określić i prognozować najkorzystniejszy termin zbioru ocenianych odmian.
