Correlation analysis of morphometry of lymphoid tissue of the small intestine in female lynx yearlings (Lynx lynx) | Корреляционный анализ морфометрии лимфоидной ткани тонкого отдела кишечника у самок сеголетков рыси (Lynx lynx)

English. The condition of lynxes' immune defenses, in which the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) is essential, is a major determinant of their survival. This tissue gives the body essential protection in the wild, where infections are common. The study used small intestine samples from 12 yearlings females of the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) that were collected in the Kirov region and five other locations in 2023–2024 in compliance with current laws (hunting permits, scientific culling). Reliable correlations between intestinal morphological parameters were established; 24 significant positive and 26 significant negative correlations were revealed. A significant positive correlation was found between the area of the lymphoid ring (S) and the number of lymphoid nodules within it (r=1.000; p less than 0.01), as well as the density of their spatial distribution (r=0.800; p less than 0.02), reflecting the functional and structural relationship of the components of the immune system and demonstrating the consistency of morphological parameters and immunological activity. A strong correlation was found between the jejunum area and the small intestine area (0.800, p=0.002), indicating a morphofunctional adaptation of the digestive system. A positive correlation was found between the area of the ileum and S of the small intestine (-1,000, p less than 0.01), indicating a redistribution of the functional load between the departments. The relationship between the areas of the jejunum and small intestine (0.800, p = 0.002) was established, reflecting adaptation to dietary patterns, as well as the proportional development of the gastrointestinal tract. The data obtained demonstrate a close relationship between morphological changes in the intestine and lymphoid structures with the physiological processes of digestion, immune response, and metabolic adaptation. The results are consistent with known patterns in mammals, confirming the universality of the identified relationships.

Russian. Определяющим аспектом выживания рысей является состояние их иммунной защиты, где лимфоидная ткань кишечника (GALT) играет ключевую роль. В условиях дикой природы, насыщенной патогенами, данная ткань обеспечивает жизненно важную защиту организма. В исследовании использованы образцы тонкого кишечника 12 молодых самок рыси (сеголетков), добытых согласно действующему законодательству (разрешения на охоту, научный отстрел) в 2023-2024 гг. на территории Кировской области и 5 сопредельных регионов. Установлены достоверные корреляционные связи между морфологическими параметрами кишечника, выявлено 24 значимых положительных и 26 значимых отрицательных корреляций. Выявлена значимая положительная корреляция между площадью лимфоидного кольца (S) и числом лимфоидных узелков в его пределах (r=1,000; p меньше 0,01), а также плотностью их пространственного распределения (r=0,800; p меньше 0,02), отражающая функционально-структурную взаимосвязь компонентов иммунной системы и демонстрируя согласованность морфологических параметров и иммунологической активности. Обнаружена сильная корреляция между площадью тощей кишки и площадью тонкого кишечника (0,800, p=0,002), свидетельствующая о морфофункциональной адаптации пищеварительной системы. Выявлена положительная корреляция между площадью подвздошной и S тонкого отдела кишечника (-1,000, p меньше 0,01), указывающая на перераспределение функциональной нагрузки между отделами. Установлена взаимосвязь площадей тощей кишки и тонкого кишечника (0,800, p=0,002), отражающая адаптацию к особенностям питания, а также пропорциональное развитие отделов ЖКТ. Полученные данные демонстрируют тесную взаимосвязь морфологических изменений кишечника и лимфоидных структур с физиологическими процессами пищеварения, иммунного ответа и метаболической адаптации. Результаты согласуются с известными закономерностями у млекопитающих, подтверждая универсальность выявленных взаимосвязей.
