Influence of sowing methods on starch and protein content in the grain of corn hybrids | Вплив способів сівби на вміст крохмалю та білку в зерні гібридів кукурудзи

English. The article presents the results of studying the influence of sowing methods, climatic conditions and biological characteristics of the hybrid on the characteristic of the chemical composition of grain in corn hybrids of different maturity groups and the possibility of their processing into bioethanol. Field, laboratory, and statistical methods were used. The research studied the effect of two factors: factor A – corn hybrids of different maturity groups (SY Talisman (FAO 200), SY Photon (FAO 260), NK Termo (FAO 330), SY Zefir (FAO 430)) and factor B – sowing method (70 cm (control); 20.3 × 76.2 cm; 20.3 × 91.4 cm; 20.3 × 96.5 cm) on the chemical composition of grain. The registered area of the plots was 38.6 m2. The replication was three times. The research has established the influence of biological characteristics of a particular hybrid, climatic factors and sowing methods on the formation of the chemical composition of grain, including starch and protein content. An antagonistic relationship was found between the amount of starch and protein in the grain of one hybrid. It was found that in the drier year of 2022 with significant temperature indicators, a decrease in starch content (69.3 %) was observed in the studied corn hybrids, regardless of the studied vegetation factors and sowing methods, compared to 2021, which was more favorable in terms of climatic conditions ‒ 69.9 %. The highest starch content for early and medium early corn hybrids was found in the variant where sowing was carried out according to the scheme of 20.3 × 91.4 cm ‒ SY Talisman (FAO 200) ‒ 68.5 % and SY Photon (FAO 260) ‒ 71.3 %. For the hybrids of the mid-season and mid-late groups, the highest starch content was observed for the 20.3 × 96.5 cm scheme ‒ NK Termo (FAO 330) ‒ 70.4 % and SY Zefir (FAO 430) ‒ 69.4 %. The highest protein content was found in the control variant with a wide-row sowing method with a row spacing of 70 cm in the hybrid SY Talisman (FAO 200) ‒ 9.32 %, SY Photon (FAO 260) ‒ 9.62 %, NK Termo (FAO 330) ‒ 11.02 % and SY Zefir (FAO 430) ‒ 10.29 %.

В статті представлені результати вивчення впливу способів сівби, кліматичних умов та біологічних особливостей гібрида на характеристику хімічного складу зерна у гібридів кукурудзи різних груп стиглості та можливості їх перероблення на біоетанол. Застосовували польовий, лабораторний, статистичний. В дослідженнях вивчали вплив двох факторів: фактор А гібриди кукурудзи різних груп стиглості (СИ Талісман (ФАО 200), СИ Фотон (ФАО 260), НК Термо (ФАО 330), СИ Зефір (ФАО 430)) та фактор В спосіб сівби (70 см (контроль); 20,3 × 76,2 см; 20,3 × 91,4 см; 20,3 × 96,5 см) на хімічний склад зерна. Облікова площа ділянок становила 38,6 м2. Повторність триразова. Проведеними дослідженнями встановлений вплив біологічних особливостей конкретного гібрида, кліматичних чинників та способів сівби на формування хімічного складу зерна, зокрема і вмісту крохмалю та білку. Встановлений антагоністичну залежність за кількістю крохмалю та білку у зерні одного гібриду. Встановлено, що в більш посушливий зі значними температурними показниками 2022 рік спостерігалося зменшення вмісту крохмалю (69,3 %) у досліджуваних гібридів кукурудзи незалежно від досліджуваних факторів вегетації та способів сівби, порівняно із 2021 роком який виявився більш сприятливим за кліматичними умовами – 69,9 %. Найвищий вміст крохмалю для ранньостиглого та середньораннього гібрида кукурудзи встановлено на варіанті де сівбу проводили за схемою 20,3 × 91,4 см – СИ Талісман (ФАО 200) – 68,5 % та СИ Фотон (ФАО 260) – 71,3 %. Для гібридів середньостиглої та середньопізньої групи найвищий вміст крохмалю відмічений для схеми 20,3 × 96,5 см – НК Термо (ФАО 330) – 70,4 % та СИ Зефір (ФАО 430) – 69,4 %. Найвищий вміст білка встановлено на контрольному варіанті із широкорядним способом сівби із шириною міжрядь 70 см у гібриду СИ Талісман (ФАО 200) – 9,32 %, СИ Фотон (ФАО 260) – 9,62 %, НК Термо (ФАО 330) – 11,02 % та СИ Зефір (ФАО 430) – 10,29 %.
