Show more [+] Less [-]The purpose of this report and research is to provide technical support to the Pocantico River Watershed and its residents. The following three key objectives of our technical assistance each contain several embedded goals: 1. Create inventory and analyze watershed assets: Mapping & spatial analysis, Population trends, Inventory of open space resources, Inventory of scenic resources, Historic & contemporary land use analysis, Ecological & topographical analysis. 2. Identify areas of opportunity using analysis results and suitability tool: Stormwater management, Non-native invasive species management, Flooding, Water quality. 3. Recommend solutions to critical environmental issues in the community: Create wetland parks to increase drainage potential and green space connectivity, Implement green stormwater infrastructure, Review relevant policies in watershed municipalities.
