English. The new red soybean variety, INCASoy-2 was selected within the INCASoy-24 cultivar in the experimental area of the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, during the spring sowings of 2018, due to a spontaneous mutation. Seeds of the selected plant were sown, subsequently, in summer and winter of the same year, giving small segregations of yellow seeds, with a phenotypic behavior similar to its parent. The most notable differences are the reddish-brown color of seed testa, the greater height of this new variety, earlier maturity than INCASoy-24 and greater agricultural potential.

La nueva variedad de soya roja, INCASoy-2 fue seleccionada dentro del cultivar INCASoy-24 en el área experimental del Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Agrícolas, durante las siembras de primavera del año 2018, a causa de una mutación espontánea. Las semillas de la planta seleccionada fueron sembradas, posteriormente, en verano e invierno del mismo año, dando pequeñas segregaciones de semillas amarillas, con un comportamiento fenotípico similar a su progenitor. Las diferencias más notables son el color pardo rojizo de la testa de la semilla, la mayor altura de esta nueva variedad, maduración más temprana que la INCASoy-24 y con mayor potencial agrícola.
