Volumetria, peso de máteria seca, teor e tanino e cortiça para o cerrado Sensu Stricto em Minas Gerais | Volumetry, dry matter weight, tannin and cork content to the savannah (cerrado) in Minas Gerais

This study of the physiognomy of Savannah (cerrado) in Minas Gerais state had the following objectives: to adjust and to select equations to estimate the total volume and the shaft volume, with and without bark, the dry matter weight, the tannin content of the “angico-vermelho” and the “barbatimão” and the “pau-santo” cork, and to test the similarity among the selected models. For this, the rigorous scalling using the method of Huber was accomplished. A total of 497 trees of savannah (cerrado) were scaled in the San Francisco River Basin, in 3 areas, and 29 trees of “angico-vermelho” were scalled in 3 counties of the basins of the Grande/Alto Paranaíba River ; 142 “ barbatimão” trees in 10 counties and 88 “pau-santo” trees in 9 counties. Disks were collected in the heights corresponding to 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the commercial height of the trees, from which the basic density was obtained and the bark thickness was measured. The accuracy of the models was evaluated using the following statistics: determination coefficient, residual standard error and graphic analysis of the residues. To test the model identity, the used method was the one developed by Graybill (1976) and, to accomplish the fittings and the identity tests, the software Sisflor was used. In the San Francisco River Basin, the models selected for all the tested variables were the ones of Schumacher and Hall and of Spurr, transformed in logarithm, and the identity test among models showed that similarity exists, for all the studied variables, between the areas 2 and 3. In the basins of Grande/Alto Paranaíba River, for the three studied species, Schumacher's model and logarithmic Hall was selected for all the analyzed variables and the identity test indicated the possibility of formation of several groups for each species, in each analyzed variable.

Neste trabalho, a fisionomia Cerrado Sensu Stricto, do estado de Minas Gerais, foi estudada com os seguintes objetivos: ajustar e selecionar equações para estimar o volume total e o volume de fuste, com e sem casca, o peso de matéria seca, o teor de tanino do angico-vermelho e do barbatimão e a cortiça do pau-santo, e testar a similaridade entre os modelos selecionados. Para isto, realizou-se a cubagem rigorosa por meio do método de Huber. Na bacia do rio São Francisco, foram cubadas 497 árvores de Cerrado Sensu Stricto, em 3 regiões e, nas bacias do rio Grande/Alto Paranaíba, foram cubadas 29 árvores de angico-vermelho, em 3 municípios; 142 árvores de barbatimão em 10 municípios e 88 árvores de pau-santo em 9 municípios. Foram coletados discos nas alturas correspondentes a 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% e 100% da altura comercial das árvores, a partir dos quais foi obtida a densidade básica e mensurada a espessura de casca. A acurácia dos modelos foi avaliada pelas seguintes estatísticas: coeficiente de determinação, erro padrão residual e análise gráfica dos resíduos. Para testar a identidade de modelo, utilizou-se o método desenvolvido por Graybill (1976) e, para realizar os ajustes e os testes de identidade, utilizou-se o software Sisflor. Na bacia do rio São Francisco, os modelos selecionados para todas as variáveis testadas foram os de Schumacher e Hall e de Spurr logaritmizados, e o teste de identidade entre modelos mostrou que existe similaridade, para todas as variáveis estudadas, entre as regiões 2 e 3. Nas bacias do rio Grande/Alto Paranaíba, para as três espécies estudadas, o modelo de Schumacher e Hall logarítmico foi selecionado para todas as variáveis analisadas e o teste de identidade indicou a possibilidade de formação de diversos grupos para cada uma das espécies, em cada variável analisada.
