Wood collection and seed collection: didactic tool for forest biodiversity study | Xiloteca y espermoteca: herramientas didácticas para el estudio de la biodiversidad forestal

English. The objective of the work was to prepare biological collections as a way to the study and conservation of the biodiversity like support material in the scientific-technical studies of wood. The alive and preserved biological collections of the Placetas´s Agroforestal Experimental Station were used. Training actions were carried out through classes, chats, workshops related with forest and environmental subjects and journeys by station´s areas. As results a was conformed in the Villa Clara´s Agroforestal Enterprise, allowing the socialization of the collections toward different publics, high motivation for the career forest and bigger linking between researchers and technicians of the Station with the workers of the Enterprise, children, producers and other forest´s users.

El objetivo del trabajo fue disponer de colecciones biológicas como vías para el estudio y conservación de la biodiversidad como material de apoyo en los estudios científico-técnicos de maderas. Se utilizaron las colecciones biológicas vivas y preservadas de la Estación Experimental Agro-Forestal Placetas. Fueron realizadas acciones de capacitación a través de clases, charlas, talleres relacionados con temas forestales y medioambientales, y recorri- dos por áreas de la estación. Como resultados se conformaron una Xiloteca y una Espermoteca en la Empresa Agro-Forestal Villa Clara, permitiendo la socialización de las colecciones hacia diferentes públicos, alta motivación por la carrera Forestal y mayor vinculación entre investigadores y técnicos de la Estación con los trabajadores de la empresa, niñas, productoras y otros usuarios del bosque.
