Espaçamento e densidade de semeadura para arroz de terras altas de ciclo superprecoce | Sowing spacing and density for upland rice of cycle super precocious

The release, by research of new upland rice cultivars, with modern plant architecture, erect plants, intermediary size, tillering, lodging resistant andshorter and shorter cycle has demanded new studies of plant population. So, thepresent work intended to evaluate both spacing and sowing density which bestadjust to maximize grain yield of the super early cultivar BRSMG Conai in threedistinct environments as well as their effects upon production components andother characteristics of interest. Therefore, three experiments were implanted,one being in Lavras and the other two in Machado (in two sowing times). Threespacings (20, 30 and 40 cm interrows) and three sowing densities (50, 80 and110 seeds m-1) were utilized. The statistical design used was the one ofrandomized blocks in the factorial scheme 3 x 3, with three replicates. The plots consisted of a variable number of 5-m rows so as to not alter their size, that is, of 12, 8 and 6 rows for the spacings of 20, 30 e 40 cm, respectively. Thus, all theplots were of 5 m x 2.4 m (12.00 m2). The results obtained showed that there are effects of interaction spacing versus density versus environment, for lots ofcharacteristics evaluated. Spacing showed a small or no interference on plantheight, flowering, percentage of filled grains, mass of 100 grains, blast and leaf scald and grain spot. On the other hand it influenced the number of panicles m-2, number of grains per panicle, grain yield and panicle blast. Sowing density, inturn, did not interfere on flowering, percentage of filled grains, incidence of blaston the leaf and panicle, leaf scald and grain spot, had little influence on plantheight, but, it affected the number of panicles m-2, number of grains per panicle,mass of 100 grains and grain yield. The production components most influencedby spacing versus density were the number of panicles per m-2and the number o f grains per panicle. In short, it follows that, for the cultivar BRSMG Conai, the30-cm spacing interrows provided the highest grain yield, regardless of sowingdensity. As to density, the one of 80 seeds m-1was the one which contributed the most to yield.

O lançamento, pela pesquisa de novas cultivares, de arroz de terras altas com arquitetura moderna de planta, folhas eretas, porte intermediário, perfilhadoras, resistentes ao acamamento e de ciclo cada vez mais curto, tem demandado novos estudos de população de plantas. Assim, o presente trabalho objetivou avaliar o espaçamento e a densidade de semeadura que melhor se ajustem para maximizar a produtividade de grãos da cultivar superprecoce BRSMG Conai, em três ambientes distintos, bem como seus efeitos sobre os componentes de produção e outras características de interesse. Para tanto, foram implantados três experimentos, sendo um em Lavras e os outros dois em Machado (em duas épocas de semeadura). Utilizaram-se três espaçamentos (20, 30 e 40 cm entre linhas) e três densidades de semeadura (50, 80 e 110 sementes m-1). O delineamento estatístico utilizado foi de blocos casualizados, no esquema fatorial 3 x 3, com três repetições. As parcelas foram constituídas de um número variável de linhas de 5 m, de modo a não alterar o seu tamanho, ou seja, de 12, 8 e 6 linhas para os espaçamentos de 20, 30 e 40 cm, respectivamente. Portanto, todas as parcelas foram de 5 m x 2,4 m (12,00 m2). Os resultados obtidos mostraram haver efeitos de interação espaçamento versus densidade versus ambiente, para muitas características avaliadas. O espaçamento mostrou pequena ou nenhuma interferência sobre a altura de plantas, floração, percentagem de grãos cheios, massa de 100 grãos, brusone e escaldadura das folhas e manchade-grãos. Por outro lado, influenciou o n° de panículas m-2, n° de grãos por panícula, produtividade de grãos e brusone das panículas. A densidade de semeadura, por sua vez, não interferiu na floração, percentagem de grãos cheios, incidência de brusone na folha e panícula, escaldadura da folha e mancha-degrãos e teve pouca influência sobre altura de planta, porém, afetou o n° de panículas m-2, n° de grãos por panícula, a massa de 100 grãos e a produtividade.
