Evaluation of drought resistance and winter resistance of introduced varieties of the genus tulip (Tulipa L.) | Оцінювання посухостійкості та зимостійкості інтродукованих сортів роду тюльпан (Tulipa L.)

English. The article presents the results of the investigation and evaluation of the winter hardiness and drought resistance of such introduced varieties of early-flowering tulips as simple early (Apricot Beauty, Flair, Sunny Prince), double early (Margarita, Monte Carlo, Pink Cameo), and also medium-flowering tulips, in particular, Triumph tulips (Carola, Dynasty, Memphis, Alibi, Shirley dream, Holland Beauty), Darwin hybrids (Oxford Wonder, Golden Apeldoorn, Hakuun, World's Favorite, Salmon Impression). The research was conducted at the Uman National University of Horticulture during 2022-2024 at the research site of the Horticulture Department. In the course of research, it was determined that the studied cultivars had high resistance to the influence of low temperatures and the ability to withstand overheating and dehydration under the influence of high temperatures, without losing their ecological characteristics. The studied varieties Apricot Beauty, Flair, Sunny Prince, Shirley dream, Holland Beauty, Dynasty, Golden Apeldoorn, Oxford Wonder, World's Favorite, Salmon Impression are found to have the best winter resistance. As a result of the research, only Hakuun, Pink Cameo, and Margarita varieties appeared to be less resistant to the effects of low temperatures, but they recovered quickly and retained all their ecological features. Studies of drought resistance of tulips have shown their high resistance to high temperatures even in the driest years. The varieties Sunny Prince, Apricot Beauty, Margarita, Holland Beauty, Dynasty, World's Favorite fully preserved their ecological features, respectively, receiving five points on the rating scale. Varieties Flair, Pink Cameo, Salmon Impression, Monte Carlo, Memphis, Shirley dream, Alibi, Carola, Golden Apeldoorn received four points, because under the influence of high temperatures the wilting process began, but at the same time all genotypes quickly recovered and adapted to favourable conditions. Therefore, all studied genotypes were determined to be promising for their further use in various landscape compositions, since they are adapted to the complex conditions of the urbogenic environment.

Досліджено та проведено оцінювання зимо- та посухостійкості інтродукованих сортів тюльпанів групи раньоквітучих: класів прості ранні (Apricot Beauty, Flair, Sunny Prince), махрові ранні (Margarita, Monte Carlo, Pink Cameo); та середньоквітучих: класів Тріумф-тюльпани (Carola, Dynasty, Memphis, Alibi, Shirley dream, Holland Beauty), Дарвінові гібриди (Oxford Wonder, Golden Apeldoorn, Hakuun, World's Favorite, Salmon Impression). Дослідження проведено в Уманському національному університеті садівництва впродовж 2022-2024 рр. на дослідній ділянці кафедри садово-паркового господарства. Визначено, що досліджувані культивари мали високу стійкість до впливу низьких температур та здатність витримувати перегрів і зневоднення під впливом високих температур, не втрачаючи при цьому своїх екологічних особливостей. Виявлено, що у досліджуваних сортів Apricot Beauty, Flair, Sunny Prince, Shirley dream, Holland Beauty, Dynasty, Golden Apeldoorn, Oxford Wonder, World's Favorite, Salmon Impression зимостійкість була найкращою. Унаслідок здійснених досліджень тільки сорти Hakuun, Pink Cameo, Margarita виявилися менш стійкими до впливу низьких температур, але вони швидко відновлювалися і зберігали всі свої екологічні особливості. Дослідження посухостійкості тюльпанів показали їх високу стійкість до впливу високих температур навіть у найпосушливіші роки. Повністю зберегли свої екологічні особливості сорти Sunny Prince, Apricot Beauty, Margarita, Holland Beauty, Dynasty, World's Favorite, відповідно отримавши п'ять балів за шкалою оцінювання. Сорти Flair, Pink Cameo, Salmon Impression, Monte Carlo, Memphis, Shirley dream, Alibi, Carola, Golden Apeldoorn отримали чотири бали, тому що під впливом високих температур починали процес в'янення, однак при цьому, всі генотипи швидко відновлювалися й адаптовувалися за сприятливих умов. Визначено, що всі досліджувані генотипи є перспективними для подальшого їх використання в різних ландшафтних композиціях, оскільки вони адаптовані до складних умов урбогенного середовища.
