Influence of methods of forming okra plants on yield in conditions of spring film unheated greenhouses Full text

Relevance. Okra is rich in useful substances: carbohydrates, dietary fiber, lipids, amino acids, vitamins A, K, C, mineral salts. The polysaccharides contained in okra fruits are chemically inert, non-toxic, biodegradable and biocompatible polymers. To expand the range of vegetable products in our country, a study of okra in the summer-autumn turnover in a film greenhouse was carried out. Material and methods. The aim of the research was to substantiate the elements of the technology for growing okra in film unheated soil greenhouses under the conditions of the 3rd light zone. Research was carried out in 2019-2020 on the basis of the Educational and Scientific Production Center "Vegetable Experimental Station named after Edelstein" of Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy in the summerautumn turnover in a film unheated ground greenhouse. The objects of the study were the varieties: Damskie palchiki, Krasniy barkhat. Results. Based on the results of studying the effect of the formation of okra varieties in one and two shoots on growth and yield in the conditions of summer-autumn turnover in film soil greenhouses, we recommend growing plants of the Damskie palchiki variety in 2 shoots to obtain the highest fruit yield, Krasniy barkhat plants in one shoot.

Relevance and methods. For the production of chicory seeds, care must be taken not only to obtain a high-grade source material, i.e. varietal seeds and masterbatch root crops, but also to store the resulting root crops in winter with minimal losses. The main requirement for growing mother chicory root crops is the placement of crops on fertile soils that are clean of weeds. Installed. That on podzolized loams the best dose of mineral fertilizers for this crop is N45P120K60, where an increased dose of superphosphate increases the yield and rootability of Queen cells, increases seed productivity for the second year. Materials and methods. The purpose of this work is to analyze the safety of root crops of chicory root and the degree of their damage by root rot during winter storage in plastic bags in burts. The purpose of the study is to identify the best way to store the mother chicory root crops and the effect of reproduction on the rootability of root crops in winter. Questions of storage of the mother material of root chicory were studied in the laboratory of selection and seed production on the example of the Petrovsky variety in 2017-2019. The material for research was the families of chicory of the Petrovsky variety in the control and elite nursery. Results. The obtained data show that when evaluating and selecting families for the purpose of obtaining highly productive seed material, the safety of root crops in long-term winter storage should be taken into account. If its values are low, the entire family should be completely excluded from the process of primary seed production. In selection and seed-growing work, a mandatory component of the assessment should be the safety of root crops during long-term winter storage.

Relevance. In the Republic of Moldova in recent years, during tomato flowering, air temperature reaches 35°С and higher, which significantly reduces fruit set, yield and product quality, therefore, the creation of varieties resistant to temperature stress is of particular importance. The relevance of the studies is due to the need to identify tomato genotypes resistant to high temperatures, to identify the genetic nature of the variability and degree of inheritance of tomato growth organs when interacting with different temperature conditions. The purpose of the research is to determine the effect of stress temperatures on the organs of growth and development of tomato plants at an early stage of ontogenesis, the degree of genetic, phenotypic variation and inheritance of characters. Materials and methods. The research material was 5 promising lines of tomato with high economically valuable traits. As a standard, a omologated variety Mary Gratefully was used. Four temperature levels were used – optimal (25°С) and stress (38, 40 and 42°С). The length of the germinal root and stem of 7-day-old plants was measured. The experiment was made in 3 replicates. The following were studied: genetic and phenotypic variants, heritability coefficient, phenotypic and genotypic coefficients of variation, genetic progress. The data were processed in the STATISTICA 7 software package. Results. As a result of the studies, a significant differentiation of the reaction of tomato genotypes to temperature stress was revealed. A significant effect of temperature on the genetic and phenotypic varieties of signs of growth and development of tomato plants, heritability in the broad sense, genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation, and genetic progress have been established. Of a great interest for further studies are the Mary Gratefully, L 304, L 306 genotypes, which are highly resistant to the studied traits.

Relevance. To create heterotic cucumber hybrids, it is important to have a high general and specific combining ability of the initial material, which makes it possible to select valuable genotypes at an early stage of selection. Material and methods. The research was carried out in 2018-2020. at the Research Institute of Vegetable, Melon Crops and Potatoes, located in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan (SRIVMC&P). Studied 6 accessions of cucumber. As a result of diallelic crosses, 36 hybrid combinations were obtained (p2). Hybridological analysis was carried out according to the first Griffing's method, including forward and backcrossing and the use of parental forms (p2). To determine the combining ability, conventional methodologies were used (1,15). Genetic-statistical analyzes were carried out using the MS Excel application package. Results. Studies have established that according to the traits "the number of days from seed germination to the opening of female flowers" and "the number of days until the technical ripeness of fruits" in all studied cucumber accessions, the ratio (σ 2ĝi<σ 2si) is observed, where the dominant role in the inheritance of this trait also belongs to genes with dominant and epistatic effects. The trait “number of fruits per plant” is controlled by dominant and epistatic gene effects (σ 2ĝi<σ 2si) in almost all cucumber accessions, and in the accession A-6 - by additive gene effects (σ 2ĝi <σ 2si). The phenomenon (σ 2ĝi <σ 2si) was noted for the trait "average fruit weight", where the expression of the trait is controlled by the dominant and epistatic effects of genes (σ 2ĝi <σ 2si) in three studied cucumber accessions (C-25/1, A-6 and A-9), and in the other three accessions, additive gene effects (σ 2ĝi <σ 2si) are more important in inheritance. The trait "productivity of one plant" is controlled by the dominant and epistatic effects of genes (σ 2ĝi <σ 2si) in the three studied cucumber accessions, and in the other three accessions (C-25/1, A-6 and A-9), genes play a special role for the expression of the trait with additive effects. Promising hybrid combinations with the best performance for their use as a initial material for breeding have been revealed.

Relevance. Squashes are a promising culture, and the recent work of breeders allow us to uncover large reserves to improve their nutritional and dietary qualities. The dietary value of zucchini is due to the easy digestibility of all carbohydrates, which allows them to be used in the production of canned foods. Canned snacks and candied fruits are produced from zucchini. The most important quality of the varieties we study is their cylindrical shape, allowing mechanization of the cleaning operation.Methods. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to use zucchini of different degrees of ripeness for the preparation of candied fruit with the least loss of products.Results. As a result of research conducted at the All-Russian Research Institute of Irrigated Vegetable and Melon-Growing in the Astrakhan Region, it was found that zucchini fruits of different degrees of maturity can be used to make candied fruits, but the highest yield was obtained from mature squash, and amounted to 654 kg from the Sosnovsky variety , in the Orange variety 696 kg from one ton of prepared raw material, while in the Orange variety of candied fruits it was obtained 42-64 kg more than in the Sosnovsky variety, depending on the degree of ripening STI. The tasting committee rated candied fruits obtained from the fruit of the zucchini of the Orange variety higher by 0.3-0.5 points than from the Sosnovsky variety. In terms of chemical composition, candied fruits prepared from the raw material of ripe zucchini fruits exceeded 1.2-1.5 times - from unripe fruits. Ready candied fruits can be used as an independent form, as well as for the preparation of other types of products in the food industry.

Relevance. Vegetable seed production is a key step in using of new varieties/hybrids in agriculture. The main problem of vegetable seed production is the negative effect of environment to the seed productivity of plants and seeds quality. Usually, vegetable seeds produce in greenhouses in Russia, but special greenhouses are necessary for the obtaining of qualitative seeds. Possibilities different types of greenhouses for seed production of new special tomato varieties for multi circle hydroponics have been studied at this paper.Materials and methods. Materials of study: plants, fruits and seeds of two new tomato varieties Natasha and Timosha. Influence type of plants cultivation on the yield, plant productivity, the middle mass of the fruit and seeds quality have been studied at the two factorial experiment, which has been carried out with help of random repetitions method with 4 repeats. Seed quality has been evaluated by GOST 32 592-2013. Experimental data have been calculated with dispersion analysis by B.A. Dospekhov (1985).Results. It has been established, that the environment of “Rishel” greenhouse (France firm “Rishel”) with polycarbonate cover is optimal for the seed production of new tomato varieties Natasha and Timosha for multi circle hydroponics. The productivity and the yield of seed’s plants were significantly higher in “Rishel” greenhouse, than in the usual greenhouse. The middle mass of one fruit at the plant was significantly higher too. The quality of seeds was in accordance to GOST 32 592-2013 for qualitative tomato seeds (2014).

Relevance. In modern climatic conditions, the suppression of production process occurs against the background of short-term or long-term exposure to unfavorable environmental factors on agricultural plants, and, therefore, yield decreases. In this regard, there is a need for the use of growth regulators with protective and stimulating effects on many physiological processes.The aim of the work was to study the influence of the element selenium and 6-benzylaminopurine on the production process of red currant.Methods. Foliar treatments with solutions of sodium selenite and 6-benzylaminopurine (6-BAP) were made after flowering plants of the Dana and Asya varieties of the VNIISPK. The currant leaves were taken from annual shoots for determine the content of abscisic acid (ABA), the amount of pigments, and the rate of light reactions of photosynthesis. The parameters of the fruit brush of plants were recorded.Results. It was shown that treatments with sodium selenite and 6-benzylaminopurine contribute to a decrease of 2.1-3.5 times in the leave tissues of the endogenous ABA level, increase the chlorophyll biosynthesis by 27.5-48.0% and accelerate by 19.3-45.8% electron transfer rate on the level of light photosynthesis reactions. Treatment with selenium and 6-BAP of Dana plants increased the average mass of the fruit brush by 19.30% and 24.5%, respectively, Asya varieties by 20.7 and 35.8%. The increase in the average mass of the fruit brush occurred due to the enlargement of the average mass of one berry in it. It was shown that selenium and 6-BAP in the Dana variety increased the weight of the berry by 27.3% and 47.3%, in Asya by 33.3% and 45.8%. The treatment did not have a significant effect on the amount of sugars. Thus, for increase the production process, it is advisable to make foliar treatments with sodium selenite and 6-BAP during the growing season on red currant plants.

Relevance. The determining value in modern melon production is to increase the yield and market yield of environmentally friendly products at minimum costs for the cultivation of melons. For the development of the melon industry in the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, the scientific search for technological solutions aimed at creating conditions for increasing the yield and quality of melon products becomes urgent. Materials and methods. The object of research-melon, variety autumn. The types and doses of water-soluble fertilizers were studied: vegetable Aquarin, Novalon Foliar, and Hakafos. Fertilizers were used to treat plants during the growing season.Results.Studies have established a high effect of the use of water-soluble fertilizers on vegetating plants, which allow eliminating adverse environmental factors. The yield from the use of water-soluble fertilizers in melon cultivation technology for the years of studies is 31.3 86.7% higher compared to the control variant (without treatments). In more favorable climatic conditions of the year, the maximum yield was obtained in the variant with the use of Hakafos in a half dose, which had a more balanced content of nutrients compared to other studied water-soluble fertilizers –15.5 t/ha, which is 21.1% more compared to the minimum dose, 42.2% more compared to the treatment of plants with water and 1.8 times more compared to pure control. In the dry conditions of 2019 and lower air temperatures during the ripening period, a similar trend was noted. Comparative analysis of the biochemical composition of fruits showed that water-soluble fertilizers do not have a negative impact on the environmental purity of the product, the amount of nitrates for all years of research did not exceed the MPC (90 mg/kg). Studies have determined the positive effect of water-soluble fertilizers on improving the quality of fruits, the content of dry substances, one of the main indicators, in the study periods, exceeds this indicator in the control version (without treatments).

Relevance. This study aimed to improve fruit set and plant performance to increase tomato productivity by studying the effect of plant growth regulators on tomato plants.Methods. A specific experiment has been carried out to study the effect of plant growth regulators Milagro (1% indol-3-butric acid) and Atlet active substances indol-3-butric acid and chloromequate chloride with applied doses (0.6 M/L, 1.0 M/L and 1.5 M/L) and (1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 M/L) on growth and physiological characteristics of plants (Big Beef F1). The experimental design was a Complete Randomized Blocks Design. Both Hemo bles was applied three times (spraying on plants at 30 DAP, spraying on plants at 60 DAP and spraying on plants 90 DAP).Results. The obtained results showed that, Applying Milagro (1% indol-3-butric acid) had the highest significant Plant height (80.13, 128.77 and 239 cm), number of leaves/plant (18.0, 34.67 and 44.3) and stem diameter (1.07, 1.5 and 2.03 cm), fruit weight (122.0 and 136 g), Flower Clusters number in the plant (4.64, 13.33 and 16.33) and Fruits Number (61.67, 62.0 and 67) Over the three years of study. The results were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey’s HSD test with α = 0.05 with the help of MINITAB (v. 19.0) program.

Based a energy methods and Rosstat data caloric value of food produced and consumed iwas calculated for period 1990-2017 years of the Russian Federation . A food safety criterion is proposed. Showed double reserve of caloric for consumation of Russian population. Rubles caloric value equivalent was proposed, price calculations and analysis of price dynamics by type of food are carried out.
