In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus as a result of task-specific selection and breeding work there was developed and approbated Berezinsky breed type of Belarusian meaty breed. Sows of the studied breed type were notable for high indices of reproductive signs: the average multiple pregnancy in three breeding swine herd was 11,1 pigs per farrowing; milkability - 55 kg, litter size at weaning stage at 35-day age - 87,1 kg. The predominancy over the forecast exponent indices made 4,7-5,7%. In course of the study there were analyzed the forecasted indexes of the basic breeding signs of Berezinsky breed type of Belarusian meaty breed for 2005-2010; productivity indices of the experimental sows; coefficient of variations of sow productivity.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was analyzed the influence of mycotoxins on state of energy metabolism and development of energy deficient states of bred and milking sows maintained in the production breeding conditions. Clinical status of sows was characterized by concurrent mycotoxicoses. As a result of action of mycotoxins in sows there was developed an energy deficiency and state of acidosis. The mentioned above changes played an important part in the pathogenesis of mycotoxicosis. There were presented the following results: analysis of groups of pregnant sows and suckling-pigs; the content of mycotoxins in mixed fodders; symptoms revealed at sows and pigs; indexes of carbohydrate and lipide exchanges in blood of sows; the content of trace elements in blood of sows; gas composition of sow blood. | Исследования проведены на супоросных и подсосных свиноматках, содержащихся в условиях промышленной технологии. Клинический статус свиноматок характеризовался сочетанным микотоксикозом. В результате действия микотоксинов у свиноматок развились энергодефицит и состояние ацидоза. Данные изменения являются важной составной частью патогенеза при микотоксикозах. В табличной форме представлены группы супоросных и подсосных свиноматок, содержание микотоксинов в комбикормах, симптомы, выявленные у свиноматок и поросят, показатели углеводного и липидного обменов в крови свиноматок, содержание макроэлементов в крови свиноматок, газовый состав крови свиноматок.

Determination of possible relations between some metabolic activity indexes of Large White pregnant sows (with various pregnancy stages) and their offspring was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. In the experimental animals there was taken blood for hematologic and biochemical tests. In peripheral blood there was analyzed the average content of hemoglobin, total number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, thrombocytes and corpuscular volume. Content of total protein, albuminolesterin, concentration total kalium and nonorganic phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, activity of alanine- and aspartate transaminase were evaluated in blood serum. Blood tests were made on 84th day of pregnancy, in 30 days before farrowing, on the 2-nd lactation day and on the 2-nd and 35-th days of piglet life. Research results showed high degree of persistence of iron and zinc deficiency of pregnant sows in the conditions of modern national swine production. The obtained results proved the presence of close relationship between metabolic processes of sows and piglets that was revealed in low degree of stores supply with elements which had been in deficit for their mothers

Determination of a degree and stages of metabolic disorders of aborted sows and sows which gave birth to dead fetus was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Analysis of biochemical profile of blood of experimental sows was given. Typical deviations of biochemical status indexes in the conditions of reproduction pathology were determined. The highest degree of deviations of biochemical blood profile (indexes of fat, protein and mineral metabolism) was stated at aborted sows. At sows which gave birth to dead fetus there were stated abnormalties functional state of kidneys and liver, indexes of carbohydrate and mineral metabolism.

Comparison of morphological changes in placenta in the conditions of physiological pregnancy and pregnancy complicated acute asphyxia in farrow with deadborn piglets was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. There were realized complex clinical and morphological studies of placenta of pregnant sows. The experimental group was formed by pegnant sows with intranatally dead fetus because of acute asphyxia in course of farrowing caused by abnormality in placental circulation(prolapse of funis or loop of cord). The second (control) group consisted of healthy bred sows with physiological farrowing and alive newborn piglets. The groups were comparable to age, number of farrowings (no more two) and housing conditions. Detailed macrographic examinations of placenta (form, size, square, weight, volume, fetus-plecentary coefficient, amnion status and so on) and cord were realized. The research result showed that in the conditions of a complicated pregnancy in the thickness index placenta there were visualized a lot of connective tissue changed locus, infarcts as well as areas, and changes in morphometric indexes. All mentioned above factors proved to be a morphological substrate of fetoplacental insufficiency, which subsequently caused asphyxia, hypoxia, small-for-gestational-age fetus, and dead birth

The organizational aspects of reproduction in a swine heard were featured, the productivity indices of the crossbred sows obtained through the crisscrossing of the Belarusian Large White, Belarusian Black and White and Estonian Bacon pig breeds were given. The duration of the gestation period for the sows of different origin was shown. The results of the realized experiment showed that at all stages of reproduction there was required the full-value feeding and the maintenance of animals, observance of terms of revealing of sexual hunting and timely insemination of sow. For the systematic increase of swine productivity for selection of replacement pigs for reproduction besides the standard indicators it was necessary to consider the duration of gestation period. In course of study there was stated the well-defined consistent pattern of increasing of pig average weight which were born from sows with the lengthened gestation period. Piglets with the standard and extended term of prenatal growth showed higher indices of body weight at a birth and surpassed their herd mates with the shortened duration of prenatal development on 8,6-10,5% (Р less 0,001). Heavy litter of pigs affected the intensity of their subsequent development. At the weaning stage the weight of 1 pig with the shortened prenatal development was 6,25 kg, and the weight of pigs with the standard and extended periods - 6,62 kg (Р less 0,001) and 6,89 kg (Р less 0,001), respectively and exceeded on 5,9% and 10,2%. The 3-month age pigs with the shortened prenatal development lag behind herd mates with the standard and extended period of prenatal development in the indices of growing capacity on 1,2-1,4 kg (4,0-4,6%). Research of the reproductive qualities of sows of different genotypes depending on duration of gestation period was realized in the conditions of an industrial pig complex of the Republic of Belarus. In course of research there were analysed 500 sows and 1991 farrowings and was stated that only 61,4% sows had gestation period in the range of physiological standards (at the average -11,5 days). In 17,8% of sows the mentioned above parameter was on 1,6 days shorter and in 1/5 of all sows under investigation it was 0,6 days longer. A higher productive performance was marked in double-breed sows of a genotype (White Large x Belarusian Meaty) with the average gestation period of 114,2 days. There were no essential deviations marked in the duration of the gestation period depending on the ordinal number of farrowing, though for the third farrowing the duration of the gestation period made 114,8 days and was 0,2-0,4 days longer as compared with the first and the second farrowings

Research of possibility of application of sapropel (putrid mud) of the Chervonnoe lake (the Republic of Belarus) in diets of bred and milking sows as one of the ingredients of mixed fodders, as well as the evaluation of its influence of sow development and digestibility of nutritive elements were studied. Application of dry sapropel a source of energy, protein, mineral and vitamin nutritive elements for mixed fodder production rendered the positive influence on sows productive qualities: there was stated the increased number of born piglets on o,5 heads with a higher growing capacity; there was noted the increasing of coefficients of nutritive elements metabolism (crude protein – on 2,7%, crude fat – on 2,9%, free-nitrogen extracts – on 1,3%, and dietary fibre – jn 4,7%) with the simultaneous increasing of nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorous uptake by sows. Nutritional value of the analysed sapropel was 0,23 fodder units and 3,13 MJ of exchange energy per 1 kg of dry matter. Inclusion of 3% sapropel into mixed fodders for pregnant and suckling sows promoted the increasing of quantity of pigs at a birth, body weight of one pig to 3-week age and has ensured young growth with higher energy of growth. Use of sapropel in mixed fodders for sows makes active a metabolism and promotes increase of digestibility of the basic nutrients of a rations

There was studied the width of distribution and peculiarity of clinical manifestation of mineral exchange diseases at pregnant sows, and also perfection of preventive actions at pathology of mineral metabolism in the conditions of prophylactic medical examination. Results of research have shown, that diseases of mineral metabolism widespread (84,7%) among pregnant sows in the conditions of industrial production, are most extended scarce conditions on Zn (17,7%) and Fe (22,5%). Clinically this insufficiency was expressed by oppression, appetite distortion, occurrence on a skin of specifically red stains correct roundish the form: with the clarified sites in the centre, are registered as abortions at final stages of pregnancy. It is established, that the way of preventive maintenance of hypomicroelementosis of pregnant sows with use of chelated forms of microelements is more preferable than sows, as reduces percent of clinical display of Zn and Fe deficiency, stabilize level of hematological and biochemical indicators of blood more effectively, and also raise industrial indicators of pregnant sows. | Целью работы было изучение широты распространения и особенностей клинического проявления заболеваний минерального обмена у супоросных свиноматок, а также совершенствование профилактических мероприятий при патологии минерального обмена веществ в условиях диспансеризации. Результаты исследований показали, что болезни минерального обмена веществ широко распространены (84,7%) среди супоросных свино¬маток в условиях промышленного производства, наиболее распространены дефицитные состояния по Zn (17,7%) и Fe (22,5%). Клинически эта сочетанная недостаточность выражалась угнетением, залеживанием, понижением и извращением аппетита, появлением на коже специфически красных пятен правильной округлой форма: с просветленными участками в центре, зарегистрированы так же аборты на конечных стадиях супоросности. Установлено, что способ профилактики гипомикроэлементозов супоросных свиноматок с использованием хелатных форм микроэлементов предпочтительнее, поскольку сокращает процент клинического проявления дефицита цинка и железа, эффективнее стабилизируют уровень гематологических и биохимических показателей крови, а также повышают производственные показатели супоросных свиноматок.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed productivity indexes of sows of different families and family groups and their compatibility with male pigs of different lines of Belarusian meaty breed and Landras. On the basis of the realized research it was marked, that according to the number of piglets in a litter and multiple pregnancy distinctions between breeding sows of Landras breed and Belarusian meaty there was not observed. From sows of both breeds in average per farrowing there was obtain 11,0 - 11,2 piglets, including 10,4 - 10,5 live piglets, that exceeded requirements of the first class of the instruction on evaluation of pigs on 4,0 - 5,0%. At the same time, sows of the Belarusian meaty breed had litter weight at weaning in 40 days of 104 kg, that was authentically higher on 8 kg or on 8,3% (Р less than 0,001), than sows of Landras breed. In each breed there were some distinctions in sow productivity by families and in breeding with boars of different lines.
