The article reflects economical value of a valuable food crop, field pea used chiefly as a vegetable (Pisum sativum L partim), its origin and distribution both in the worldwide scale and in our country, establishment of its varietal resources. Exhausting description is provided to new varieties of pea used chiefly as a vegetable, which have been listed in the State Register of Varieties Suitable for Dissemination in Ukraine in 20010-2011 for the harvest in 2012, and for which official description is available.

The article represents results of renewal to officinal pilot models of varieties of long-fibred flax and crown flax to bring in to high-yielding properties to the environmental conditions of areas of Forest Ukraine. There brief descriptions of comparative evaluation of identifications morpho-biological indications plants of varieties to place on control pilot models with plants of varieties to place on standard models. There are installed the authentic of descriptions to officinal pilot models of varieties.

Varietal resources make one of the key national priorities. They pose themselves an outcome of intellectual effort by considerable society part - geneticists, breeders, physiologist, biochemists and biophysicists, immunologists and mathematicians, economists, ecologists and variety examiners.

Assessment has been carried out for parental lines and hybrid combinations of forage beet by individual indices of productivity and morphological characteristics of root storages. Best combinations have been selected for further crossing and breeding.

History of the genefond of the southern fruit cultures in the NBG-NSC, its structural composition and the results of breeding work performed on this basis has been given.

Breeding of columnar type apple varieties has been carried out at VNIISPK since 1984. The possibility of grow-ing of columnar type apple varieties in the crown of winter hardy semi-dwarf rootstock 3-4-98 by S. N. Stepanov’s   breeding is being studied in different density of planting   in the orchard (3 x 1,0 m; 3 x 1,5; and 3 x 2,0 m). The inves  tigation of winter hardiness, cropping power, fruit mar  ketability and biochemical composition allowed releasing two varieties «Poesia» and «Priokskoye» for state trials.

The results of studying of walnuts collection have been given; the evaluation of the assortment according to resistance to unfavorable climatic conditions has been done; some varieties have been recommended for using in breeding and introduction in industry.

The article offers short characteristic of Fj hybrid combinations and reveals type of inheritance by the folwiing characteristics: plant height, height of lower bean insertion, quantity of seeds per plant, quantity of seeds per plant, beans per plant, nodes and branches per plant, as well as determines proportion of dominations displaying high heterosis effect. Two superior hybrid populations, namely Amethyst/Miao-ian-Dou and Amethyst/Krasa Podillia, have been selected and are being used to scan for transgressive forms.

Для забезпечення виробників необхідною кількістю якісного насіння гороху овочевого, необхідно організувати його насінництво, яке має забезпечити не тільки розмноження насіння до запланованих обсягів, а й підтримку сортів, їх генетично обумовлених ознак, на рівні, який забезпечує високу врожайність та якість зеленого горошку. Для досягнення цієї мети запропонований спосіб реалізації, який висвітлений у статті.

The article shows experimental data of interline hybrids of sugar beet on the basis of weight of 1000 seeds, genetic determination of characteristic based on the method of Hayman and topcrossed polytested crossbreeding is established, their comparison is made. It also highlights valuable hybrid combinations and valuable for combining pollinating lines used in the breeding to enhance properties of sowing seeds.
