According with results of research work the author came to the conclusion that sorts and hybrids distinguished some economic- important characteristics. | В условиях Правобережной’ Лесостепи Украины изучено 6 сортов и 3 гибрида сахарной кукурузы. На основании результатов опытов сделано заключение, что сорта и гибриды отличаются между собой по некоторым хозяйственно-ценным признакам. Получена характеристика сортов и гибридов кукурузы сахарной за направлениями использования. | В умовах Правобережного Лісостепу України вивчено 6 сортів і З гібриди кукурудзи цукрової. На основі експериментальних досліджень встановлено, що сорти і гібриди відрізнялися між собою за господарсько-цінними ознаками. Отримана характеристика сортів і гібридів культури за напрямами використання.

Vernalization requierement differences among varieties from different climatic zones were revealed. | Изучение яровизационной потребности ряда современных сортов пшеницы мягкой озимой Украины и России (87 образцов) показало значительное преимущество в их составе - 81,6% - сортов с короткой яровизационной потребностью (30-40 суток). Выявлены отличия по яровизационной потребности между сортами селекционных учреждений, расположенных в различных климатических зонах. | Вивчення яровизаційної потреби ряду сучасних сортів пшениці м’якої озимої України та Росії (87 зразків) показало значну перевагу в їхньому складі - 81,6% - сортів з нетривалою яровизаційною потребою (30-40 діб). Виявлено відмінності за яровизаційною потребою поміж сортами селекційних установ, розташованих у різних кліматичних зонах.

It was revealed perspective for further selective work and fast-ripening watermelon's varieties such as "Severnoye siyaniye", "Krimson svit", "Gyuj Bao", "Chernogorets", "Kitaiskaya skorospelka", "Borisfen", "Kahovsky", Linii No 139", "Kitaj No132-4-1" among the watermelon's sample’s collection under conditions of film hothouses. The watermelon’s plants in the film hothouses are more affected by fusarial fading among the diseases. There were revealed the samples such as "Golopristanskij", "Legin", "Foton", "Fabiola", "Kitaj No132-4-1", "Panoniya No 12-Г', which are relatively resistible to that disease. There were selected the fast - ripening and resistible to diseases new heterodyne hybrids F1 51x62 and F1 53x69 of the Dnepropetrovsk Experimental Research Center EOB under the film hothouse’s conditions.

On the basis of cyclic crosses, on the background of two pollen sterile testers, the combining ability for the content of K+ and Na+ ions of 20 pollinators with different levels of hibreeding (of Verkhnyachka, Lgov and Veseliy Podil origins) was studied. The pollinators were differentiated for their genetic value and the strategy for their further breeding improvement was established. Two hybrid combinations were found in which the low content of simultaneously 2 types of K + and Na+ ions was essentially proved. These characters in hybrids mostly depend on GCA of the pollinators.
