Purpose. Providing information on the formation, composition, maintenance of the collection of Buckwheat (Fagopyrum Mill.) genus at Ustymivka Experimental Station of Plant Production (Poltava region), and areas of its use: introduction, preservation and study of the material, for the set of index, formation of special collections and providing research and education institutions of Ukraine with a valuable original material. Methods. Methodical developments dealing with formation and maintenance of crop collections, methodical literature on the study of buckwheat collection for breeding and agronomic performance. Results. The author represented results of the collection material study for the main breeding and economically valuable traits including yield, productivity, resistance to abiotic and biotic factors of the environment. The results of work are considered aimed on creating special collections of the gene pool – base, trait (for yield and large seeds; for productivity, drought and heat resistance; for suitability for mechanical cultivation), educational and core ones. Conclusions. All formed and registered collections are a valuable base material for solving a number of breeding goals to increase the quantity and improve the quality of plant production. | Цель. Представить информацию о формировании, составе, ведении коллекции рода Гречихи (Fagopyrum Mill.) в Устимовской опытной станции растениеводства (Полтавская обл.), а также направлений ее использования: интродукция и сохранение материала, его изучение по комплексу показателей, формирование специальных коллекций и обеспечениях научно-исследовательских учреждений и учебных заведений Украины ценным исходным материалом. Методы. Методические наработки по формированию и ведению коллекций сельскохозяйственных культур, методическая литература по изучению коллекции гречихи по селекционным и хозяйственно-ценным показателям. Результаты. Приведены результаты изучения коллекционного материала по основным селекционным и хозяйственно-ценным показателям: урожайности, продуктивности, устойчивости к абиотическим и биотическим факторам среды. Рассмотрены результаты работы по созданию специальных коллекций генофонда: базовой, признаковых (по урожайности и крупноплодности; по продуктивности, засухо- и жароустойчивости; по пригодности к механизированному выращиванию), учебной и сердцевинной. Выводы. Все сформированные и зарегистрированные коллекции являются ценным базовым материалом для решения ряда селекционных задач по повышению количества и улучшению качества производства растениеводческой продукции. | Мета. Надати інформацію про формування, склад, ведення колекції роду Гречки (Fagopyrum Mill.) в Устимівській дослідній станції рослинництва (Полтавська обл.), а також напрями її використання: інтродукція, збереження та вивчення матеріалу за комплексом показників, формування спеціальних колекцій та забезпечення науково-дослідних установ (НДУ) та освітніх закладів України цінним вихідним матеріалом. Методи. Методичні напрацювання з формування та ведення колекцій сільськогосподарських культур, методична література з вивчення колекції гречки за селекційними та господарсько-цінними показниками. Результати. Наведено результати вивчення колекційного матеріалу за основними селекційними та господарсько-цінними показниками: врожайністю, продуктивністю, стійкістю до абіотичних і біотичних чинників середовища. Розглянуто результати роботи зі створення спеціальних колекцій генофонду: базової, ознакових (за врожайністю і крупноплідністю; за продуктивністю, посухо- та жаростійкістю; за придатністю до механізованого вирощування), навчальної та серцевинної. Висновки. Всі сформовані та зареєстровані колекції є цінним базовим матеріалом для вирішення ряду селекційних завдань з підвищення кількості та поліпшення якості виробництва рослинницької продукції.

On artificial infection backgrounds of causal agents such varieties as ‘Smuhlianka’, ‘Svitanok Myronivskyi’, ‘Berehynia Myronіvska’, ‘Horlytsia Myronіvska’ have shown high level of resistance to brown rust; ‘Svitanok Myronivskyi’, ‘Berehynia Myronіvska’ – to powdery mildew; ‘Smuhlianka’ – to covered smut. Varieties ‘Voloshkova’, ‘Yuviliar Myronivskyi’, ‘Myrliena’, ‘Oberih Myronivskyi’, ‘Kolos Myronivschyny’, ‘Lehenda Myronivska’ had medium resistance to Septoria leaf blotch; ‘Smuhlianka’, ‘Myrliena’, ‘Oberih Myronivskyi’, ‘Berehynia Myronіvska’, ‘Horlytsia Myronіvska’, ‘Myronivska storichna’ – to Fusarium head blight; ‘Myronіvska 65’, ‘Smuhlianka’, ‘Lehenda Myronivska’, ‘Berehynia Myronіvska’ – to root rots. Among the varieties studied, there were those with group resistance to diseases: ‘Voloshkova’, ‘Myrliena’, ‘Yuviliar Myronivskyi’, ‘Oberih Myronivskyi’, ‘Bohdana’, ‘Myronivska storichna’, ‘Ekonomka’, ‘Svitanok Myronivskyi’, ‘Berehynia Myronіvska’, ‘Horlytsia Myronіvska’, ‘Smuhlianka’. Varieties bred at the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat are distinguished by pest resistance. During autumn tillering phase of winter wheat the smallest number of large cereal aphids was observed in varieties ‘Smuhlianka’ and ‘Myronivska storichna’, leafhoppers – in varieties ‘Smuhlianka’, ‘Myrliena’, ‘Yuviliar Myronivskyi’. The slight population of thrips in the phase of earing was marked in the variety ‘Kolos Myronivschyny’, in the milk-ripe stage the smallest number of larvae per ear was detected in varieties ‘Smuhlianka’, ‘Voloshkova’, ‘Kolos Myronivschyny’. Varieties ‘Lehenda Myronivska’ and ‘Smuhlianka’ were proved to be resistant to damages of stems by sawflies. It should be noted that ‘Smuhlianka’ variety shows resistance to aphids, leafhoppers and grain sawflies. Conclusions. It was established that winter wheat varieties bred at the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Instutite of Wheat are characterized by resistance to certain causal agents, some of them – to their group. Varieties that are resistant to the most common and harmful phytophages were identified. | Цель. Изучение и выделение сортов пшеницы озимой, устойчивых к возбудителям основных болезней и вредителям культуры. Результаты. На искусственных инфекционных фонах возбудителей болезней высокую устойчивость к бурой ржавчине проявили сорта ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Свитанок Мироновский’, ‘Берегиня мироновская’, ‘Горлица мироновская’; к мучнистой росе – ‘Свитанок Мироновский’, ‘Берегиня мироновская’; к твердой головне – ‘Смуглянка’. Среднюю устойчивость к септориозу листьев имеют сорта ‘Волошкова’, ‘Ювиляр Мироновский’, ‘Мирлена’, ‘Обериг Мироновский’, ‘Колос Миронивщины’, ‘Легенда Мироновская’; к фузариозу колоса – ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Мирлена’, ‘Обериг Мироновский’, ‘Берегиня мироновская’, ‘Горлица мироновская’, ‘Мироновская сторична’; к корневым гнилям – ‘Мироновская 65’, ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Легенда Мироновская’, ‘Берегиня мироновская’. Среди исследуемых сор­тов выделены и с групповой устойчивостью к болезням: ‘Волошкова’, ‘Мирлена’, ‘Ювиляр Мироновский’, ‘Обериг Мироновский’, ‘Богдана’, ‘Мироновская сторична’, ‘Экономка’, ‘Свитанок Мироновский’, ‘Берегиня мироновская’, ‘Горлица мироновская’, ‘Смуглянка’. Мироновские сорта характеризируются также устойчивостью к вредителям. В фазе осеннего кущения озимой пшеницы численность большой злаковой тли была минимальной на сортах ‘Смуглянка’ и ‘Мироновская сторична’, цикадок – на сортах ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Мирлена’, ‘Ювиляр Мироновский’; заселение трипсами в фазе колошения – на сорте ‘Колос Миронивщины’, в фазе молочной спелости количество личинок в колосе – на сортах ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Волошкова’, ‘Колос Миронивщины’. Наименьшее количество поврежденных пилильщиками стеблей обнаружено на сортах ‘Легенда Мироновская’ и ‘Смуглянка’. Следует отметить, что сорт ‘Смуглянка’ проявляет устойчивость к тлям, цикадкам и хлебному пилильщику. Выводы. Установлено, что сорта пшеницы озимой, созданные в Мироновском институте пшеницы имени В. М. Ремесло, отличаются устойчивостью к некоторым возбудителям болезней, часть их них имеют групповую устойчивость к болезням. Выделены сорта с устойчивостью к наиболее распространенным и вредоносным фитофагам. | Мета. Вивчення та виділення сортів пшениці озимої, стійких проти збудників основних хвороб та шкідників культури. Методи. Лабораторний, польовий. Результати. На штучних інфекційних фонах збудників хвороб високу стійкість проти бурої іржі проявили сорти ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Світанок Миронівський’, ‘Берегиня миронівська’, ‘Горлиця миронівська’; проти борошнистої роси – ‘Світанок Миронівський’, ‘Берегиня миронівська’; проти твердої сажки – ‘Смуглянка’. Серед досліджуваних сортів виявлено й такі, що мають групову стійкість проти хвороб: ‘Волошкова’, ‘Мирлєна’, ‘Ювіляр Миронівський’, ‘Оберіг Миронівський’, ‘Богдана’, ‘Миронівська сторічна’, ‘Економка’, ‘Світанок Миронівський’, ‘Берегиня миронівська’, ‘Горлиця миронівська’, ‘Смуглянка’. Миронівські сорти характеризуються стійкістю проти шкідників. У фазі осіннього кущіння пшениці озимої чисельність великої злакової попелиці була найменшою на сортах ‘Смуглянка’ й ‘Миронівська сторічна’, цикадок – на сортах ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Мирлєна’, ‘Ювіляр Миронівський’; заселення трипсами у фазі колосіння – на сорті ‘Колос Миронівщини’, у фазі молочної стиглості найменшу кількість личинок у колосі – на сортах ‘Смуглянка’, ‘Волошкова’, ‘Колос Миронівщини’. Найменшу кількість пошкоджених пильщиками стебел виявлено на сортах ‘Легенда Миронівська’ та ‘Смуглянка’. Варто зазначити, що сорт ‘Смуглянка’ проявляє стійкість проти попелиць, цикадок і хлібного пильщика. Висновки. Встановлено, що сорти пшениці озимої, створені в Миронівському інституті пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла, вирізняються стійкістю проти деяких збудників хвороб, частина з них має групову стійкість проти хвороб. Виділено сорти зі стійкістю проти найпоширеніших і шкідливих фітофагів.

Studying variety samples of winter triticale of various ecological and geographical origin for revealing polymorphism of the culture for its susceptibility to pathogenic complex of Fusarium head blight and defining high-yielding and resistant to diseases varieties that later can be put into the production and breeding process. Methods. Field experiments, statistical evaluation. Results. It was defined that the development of Fusarium head blight in different variety samples of winter triticale depends on the hydrothermal conditions and genotype of the host-plant. Resistance of varieties and hybrids to the disease was partial, and no immune samples were found among the analyzed ones. The following varieties proved to be tolerant to Fusarium head blight: ‘Granat’, ‘Zorro’, ‘Obrii Myronivskyi’. The positive correlation between the development of Fusarium head blight and root rot of winter triticale was found. It was determined that in the pathogenic complex of Fusarium head blight the amount of the following pathogens is increasing: Fusarium sporotrichioides, F. аvenaceum and F. poae. Conclusions. The leading varieties that combine high yields and resistance to Fusarium head blight are as follows: ‘Obrii Myronivskyi’, ‘ADM 8’, ‘Yuvileine Volynske’, ‘Yukon’, ‘Zorro’, ‘Tsekad 90’, ‘Zerniatko’, ‘Legion’ and ‘Rarytet’. These varieties should be involved in the selection process to breed the hybrids with the augmented resistance to the disease and high yields. | Цель. Изучение сортообразцов тритикале озимого различного эколого-географического происхождения для выявления полиморфизма культуры за восприимчивостью к патогенному комплексу фузариоза колоса и установления устойчивых к болезни и высокоурожайных сортов для дальнейшего внедрения их в производство и использование в селекционном процессе. Методы. Полевой, статистический. Результаты. Установлено, что развитие фузариоза колоса на разных сортообразцах тритикале озимого зависит от гидротермического режима и генотипа растения-хозяина. Устойчивость сортов и гибридов к болезни носила относительный характер, иммунных сортообразцов среди исследуемых не обнаружено. Выделены сорта культуры, толерантные к фузариозу колоса: ‘Гранат’, ‘Zorro’, ‘Обрій Миронівский’. Отмечена положительная корреляционная связь между развитием фузариоза колосу и корневых гнилей на тритикале озимом. Установлен рост на сортах культуры в патогенном комплексе фузариоза возбудителей F. sporotrichioides, F. аvenaceum и F. poae. Выводы. Основными сортами тритикале озимого, сочетающими высокую производительность с устойчивостью к фузариозу колоса, являются: ‘Обрій Миронівский’, ‘АДМ 8’, ‘Ювілейне Волинське’, ‘Юкон’, ‘Zorro’, ‘Цекад 90’, ‘Зернятко’, ‘Легіон’, ‘Раритет’. Данные сор­та необходимо привлекать к селекционному процессу с целью выведения сортообразцов с повышенной устойчивостью к болезни и высокой урожайностью зерна. | Мета. Вивчення сортозразків тритикале озимого різного еколого-географічного походження для виявлення поліморфізму культури за сприйнятливістю до патогенного комплексу фузаріозу колосу і встановлення стійких проти хвороби та високоврожайних сортів для подальшого впровадження їх у виробництво та використання в селекційному процесі. Методи. Польові, статистичні. Результати. Встановлено, що розвиток фузаріозу колосу на різних сортозразках тритикале озимого залежить від гідротермічного режиму й генотипу рослини-господаря. Стійкість сортів і гібридів проти хвороби мала відносний характер, імунних сортозразків серед досліджуваних не виявлено. Виділено сорти культури, толерантні до фузаріозу колосу: ‘Гранат’, ‘Zorro’, ‘Обрій Миронівський’. Виявлено позитивний кореляційний зв’язок між розвитком фузаріозу колосу й кореневих гнилей на тритикале озимому. Встановлено зростання на сортах культури в патогенному комплексі фузаріозу збудників Fusarium sporotrichioides, F. аvenaceum та F. poae. Висновки. Основними сортами тритикале озимого, які поєднують високу продуктивність зі стійкістю проти фузаріозу колосу, є: ‘Обрій Миронівський’, ‘АДМ 8’, ‘Ювілейне Волинське’, ‘Юкон’, ‘Zorro’, ‘Цекад 90’, ‘Зернятко’, ‘Легіон’, ‘Раритет’. Ці сорти необхідно залучати до селекційного процесу для виведення сортозразків з підвищеною стійкістю проти хвороби та високою врожайністю зерна.

It was determined that in the pathogenic complex of Fusarium head blight the amount of the following pathogens is increasing: Fusarium sporotrichioides, F. аvenaceum and F. poae. Conclusions. The leading varieties that combine high yields and resistance to Fusarium head blight are as follows: ‘Obrii Myronivskyi’, ‘ADM 8’, ‘Yuvileine Volynske’, ‘Yukon’, ‘Zorro’, ‘Tsekad 90’, ‘Zerniatko’, ‘Legion’ and ‘Rarytet’. These varieties should be involved in the selection process to breed the hybrids with the augmented resistance to the disease and high yields.

Выводы. Modern Ukrainian gene pool of table grape varieties has been created on the base of the best introduced and homegrown cultivars and selections. New genotypes that are creating at the National Scientific Centre “Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making named after V. Ye. Tairov” under the breeding program “Resistense plus Quality” are the basis of current and future regional assortments for the south and central areas of the steppe zone of Ukraine. The complexity of the origine explains the genetically determined high-level manifestation of commercially valuable characters. New varieties and selections are ecologically safe for humans and the environment, as the level of their resistance to the group of fungal main diseases is not less than 6.5 points according to the 9-point scale, therefore they do not require a large pesticide load. New promising table varieties demonstrate a stable yield and high marketability of grapes – 5–10 kg per plant with the marketability nearly 80–87% during the last five years. In addition, dense flesh of grapes is a guarantee of high transportability. The variety of table genotypes taste, shape and berries ripening from very early to very late embodied in the innovative and highly profitable development “Conveyor of table grapes”. Depending on the ecological and geographical conditions, the conveyor can include a diffe­rent quantity of varieties, but to in order increase the efficiency and profitability it is necessary to have a few groups (from 2 to 4 varietes) of different ripening. The approximate ratio (%) of varieties of different ripening time is recommended: very early – 22%, early – 22%, average – 17%, mid-late – 17%, and late – 22%. Conclusions. The variation of shape, flavour and color of new promising genotypes of table grapes makes them very popular on the market and may satisfy the most demanding consumer. The stability of the adaptive and technological traits makes the new table varieties very attractive for the producers of grape products. | Цель. Обогащение и совершенствование ассортимента столовых сортов винограда Украины. Методы. Селекционные, гибридологические, математические, визуальные. Результаты. Современный украинский генофонд столовых сортов винограда создан на основе лучших интродуцированных и собственных сортов и форм. Новые генотипы, создаваемые в Национальном научном центре «Институт виноградарства и виноделия им. Т Е. Таирова» по селекционной программе «Устойчивость плюс Качест­во», являются основой современных и будущих региональных сортиментов как для юга, так и для центральных районов степной зоны Украины. Сложность происхождения объясняет генетическую обусловленность высокого уровня проявления ряда хозяйственно-ценных признаков. Новые сорта и формы экологически безопасны для человека и окружающей среды, поскольку уровень их устойчивости против группы основных грибных болезней составляет не ниже чем 6,5 балла по 9-балльной шкале, следовательно, они не требуют значительной пестицидной нагрузки. Новые перспективные столовые сорта выделяются стабильной урожайностью и высокой товарностью гроздей – урожай за последние пять лет был на уровне 5–10 кг с куста при товарности 80–87%. Кроме этого, плотная мякоть способствует высокой транспортабельности гроздей. Разнообразие столовых генотипов по вкусу, форме ягоды и срокам созревания от сверхраннего до очень позднего воплотилось в инновационную высокорентабельную разработку «Конвейер столовых сортов винограда». В зависимости от эколого-географических условий конвейер может содержать разное количество сортов, но для повышения эффективности и рентабельности обязательно наличие групп (от двух до четырех сортов) разных сроков созревания. Рекомендуется такое приблизительное соотношение (в %) сортов разных сроков созревания: сверхранние – 22%, ранние – 22, средние – 17, среднепоздние – 17 и поздние – 22%. Выводы. Разнообразие форм, вкусов и цвета плодов новых перспективных генотипов столового винограда делает их чрезвычайно востребованными на рынке и способно удовлетворить самого требовательного потребителя. Стабильность адаптивных и технологических показателей делает новые столовые сорта безусловно привлекательными для производителей виноградарской продукции. | Мета. Складність походження пояснює генетичну обумовленість високого рівня прояву ряду господарсько-цінних ознак. Нові сорти та форми є екологічно безпечними для людини та довкілля, оскільки рівень їхньої стійкості проти групи основних грибних хвороб становить не нижче ніж за 6,5 бала за 9-ти бальною шкалою, отже, вони не потребують значного пестицидного навантаження. Залежно від еколого-географічних умов конвеєр може містити різну кількість сортів, але для підвищення ефективності та рентабельності обов’язковою є наявність груп (від двох до чотирьох сортів) різних строків достигання. Рекомендується таке приблизне співвідношення (у %) сортів різних строків достигання: надранні – 22%, ранні – 22, середні – 17, середньопізні – 17 і пізні – 22%. Висновки. Різноманітність форм, смаків та забарвлення плодів нових перспективних генотипів столового винограду зумовлює значний попит на них на ринку та здатна задовольнити найвибагливішого споживача. Based on the competitive variety trial, bread spring wheat line ‘Lutescens 07-26’ has been selected due to high values of such traits as resistance to fungal diseases, grain qua­lity(protein content accounted for 15.0%), 1000 kernel weight (44.6 g) productivity (3.92 t/ha) and lodging resistance (9 points). In 2011, it was submitted to the State variety testing as ‘Panianka’ variety. Durum spring wheat line ‘Leukurum 08-11’ was characterized by a number of positive traits: quite a high productivity (3.05 t/ha), short stem (79 cm), resistance to fungal diseases and lodging(9 points), and in 2011 it was submitted to the State variety testing as ‘Diana’ variety. According to the results of the State variety testing in 2012–2014, spring wheat varieties ‘Panianka’ and ‘Diana’ in 2015 were put on the State Register of plant varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine. Conclusions. For farms in Forest-Steppe and Polissia zones of Ukraine, bread and durum spring wheat varieties were bred by V. M.Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS of Ukraine that demonstrated rather high potential of productivity and adaptability to stress conditions. This goes to prove that cultivation of domestic spring wheat varieties will promote formation of high and quality grain yields. | Цель. Создать новые конкурентоспособные сорта пше­ницы яровой. Методы. Полевой, лабораторный. Результаты. По результатам конкурсного сортоиспытания выделена линия пшеницы мягкой яровой ‘Лютесценс 07-26’, которая характеризовалась высокими показателями таких признаков, как устойчивость против грибных болезней, качество зерна (содержание белка 15,0%), масса 1000 зерен (44,6 г), продуктивность (3,92 т/га), устойчивость к полеганию (9 баллов). В 2011 г. она была передана на Государственное сортоиспытание (ГСИ) как сорт ‘Панянка’. Линия пшеницы твердой яровой ‘Леукурум 08-11’ имела ряд положительных признаков: достаточно высо­кую продуктивность (3,05 т/га), низкорослость (79 см), ус­тойчивость против грибных болезней и полегания (9 баллов) и была передана в 2011 г. на Государственное сор­тоиспытание под названием ‘Диана’. По результатам ГСИ (2012–2014 гг.), в 2015 г. сорта пшеницы яровой ‘Панянка’ и ‘Диана’ внесены в Государственный реестр сортов растений, пригодных для распространения в Украине. Выводы. Для хозяйств лесостепной и полесской зон Украины созданы сорта пшеницы мягкой и твердой яровой селекции Мироновского института пшеницы имени В. М. Ремесло НААН Украины, которые проявляют достаточно высокий потенциал продуктивности и адаптивности к стрессовым условиям. Это свидетельствует о том, что выращивание отечественных сортов пшеницы яровой будет способствовать формированию высоких и качественных урожаев зерна | Мета. Durum spring wheat line ‘Leukurum 08-11’ was characterized by a number of positive traits: quite a high productivity (3.05 t/ha), short stem (79 cm), resistance to fungal diseases and lodging(9 points), and in 2011 it was submitted to the State variety testing as ‘Diana’ variety. According to the results of the State variety testing in 2012–2014, spring wheat varieties ‘Panianka’ and ‘Diana’ in 2015 were put on the State Register of plant varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine. Conclusions. For farms in Forest-Steppe and Polissia zones of Ukraine, bread and durum spring wheat varieties were bred by V. M.Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS of Ukraine that demonstrated rather high potential of productivity and adaptability to stress conditions. This goes to prove that cultivation of domestic spring wheat varieties will promote formation of high and quality grain yields.

Purpose. To analyse the Ukrainian nomenclature of subtribe Malinae representatives and improve terminological system of the Ukrainian names of a species and a generic levels and names of fruit crops. Results. There is a confusion in the Ukrainian names of plants of Cydonia-Chaenomeles–Pseudocydonia, Mespilus–Eriobotrya, Amelanchier–Cotoneaster. Considering the division of Sorbus s.l. on separate genera Sorbus s.str., Aria, Cormus, Chamaemespilus, Torminalis and availability of numerous hybrids with their involvement, the Ukrainian names for both taxa and nothotaxa of species and generic levels are offered, principles of their choice are also considered. Formation of the Ukrainian generic names on the basis of specific epithets leads to undesirable tautonomy. Aspects of derussification of the Ukrainian professional terminology are discussed. Conclusions. Ukrainian scientific generic and nothogeneric plant names for subtribe Malinae are transliterated/transcripted, borrowed as a calque of latin names or have their own origin, consisting of one or two words. The choice of the best variants of generic and species names from a number of possible ones has a temporal component and largely depends on experts who apply them and basic principles of choice. It is necessary to improve the modern Ukrainian plant nomenclature on a national basis involving the transformed Latin scientific names for introduced species and hybrids. | Цель. Проанализировать украинскую номенклатуру представителей подтрибы Malinae и усовершенствовать терминологическую систему украинских названий видового и родового уровней и названий плодовых культур. Результаты. Существует путаница в украинских названиях растений родов Cydonia–Chaenomeles–Pseudocydonia, Mespilus–Eriobotrya, Amelanchier–Cotoneaster. В связи с делением рода Sorbus s.l. на отдельные роды Sorbus s.str., Aria, Cormus, Chamaemespilus, Torminalis и наличием многочисленных гибридов с их участием, предложены украинские названия таксонов и нототаксонов родового и видового уровней и рассмотрены принципы их отбора. Образование родовых названий типа Японская айва, Альпийская ария, Домашняя рябина на основе видовых эпитетов приводит к нежелательной тавтономии. Обсуждены аспекты дерусификации украинской профессиональной терминологии. Выводы. Украинские научные родовые и нотородовые названия растений подтрибы Malinae являются транслитерированными/транскрибированными, скалькированными с латинских или имеют оригинальное происхождение, будучи одно- или двухсловными. Отбор лучших вариантов родовых и видовых названий из нескольких возможных имеет временную составляющую и во многом зависит от специалистов, которые их применяют, и принципов, на которых он основывается. Следует усовершенствовать современную украинскую номенклатуру растений на национальной основе с привлечением трансформированных латинских научных названий в отношении интродуцированных видов и гибридов. | Мета. Проаналізувати українську номенклатуру представників підтриби Malinae та удосконалити термінологічну систему українських назв видового й родового рівнів та назв плодових культур. Результати. Існує плутанина в українських назвах рослин родів Cydonia–Chaenomeles–Pseudocydonia, Mespilus–Eriobotrya, Amelanchier–Cotoneaster. З огляду на поділ роду Sorbus s.l. на окремі роди Sorbus s. str., Aria, Cormus, Chamaemespilus, Torminalis і наявність численних гібридів з їх залученням, запропоновано українські назви таксонів інототаксонів родового й видового рівнів та розглянуто принципи їхнього вибору. Утворення родових назв типу Японська айва, Альпійська арія, Домашня горобина на основі видових епітетів призводить до небажаної тавтономії. Обговорено аспекти дерусифікації української фахової термінології.Висновки. Українські наукові родові та нотородові назви назви рослин підтриби Malinae є транслітерованими/транскрибованими, скалькованими з латинських чи мають оригінальне походження, будучі одно- або двослівними. Вибір кращих варіантів родових і видових назв з декілько х можливих має часову складову й багато в чому залежить від фахівців, які їх вживають, та принципів, на яких вони ґрунтуються. Варто вдосконалювати сучасну українську номенклатуру рослин на національній основі із залученням трансформованих латинських наукових назв щодо інтродукованих видів і гібридів.

Purpose. Theoretical and experimental substantiation of introduction of “Romantica” roses originated by Meilland company under the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe Zone of Ukraine. Methods. Biometrical, comparative-morphological, statistic ones. Results. Viability, growth and development indices as well as ornamental qualities (tolerance for winter conditions, frost hardiness, drought resistance, complex disease and pest resistance, habit maintenance, shoot formation, flowering, coloration, shape of flowers, petal number etc.) were analyzed for 12 rose cultivars of “Romantica” series planted on the collection and exhibition plots of the National Dendrological Park «Sofiivka» NAS of Ukraine. The investigations were conducted within 2012–2015. The most of the cultivars got the mark of introduction success 41–45 points of 50; so, the cultivars are totally promising for introduction into the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe Zone of Ukraine. ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ and ‘Yves Piaget’ cultivars got point number 35–38 and they can be considered promising ones. The acclimatization number for the most of the investigated cultivars was 85–90 points of 100 that means good adaptation of the plants in the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe Zone of Ukraine. The adaptation of cv. ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ and cv. ‘Yves Piaget’ roses (point number 75) can be considered satisfactory. The total evaluation of “Romantica” roses ornamental qualities made 76–87 points of 100; so, all the cultivars display high ornamental qualities and deserve to be introduced to the production. Conclusions. The garden roses of “Romantica” series originated by Meilland company being introduced into the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe Zone of Ukraine are adapted well in the introduction region and they are promising for the subsequent introduction. | Цель. Теоретическое и экспериментальное обоснование интродукции роз серии «Romantica» компании Meilland в условиях Правобережной Лесостепи Украины. Методы. Биометрические, сравнительно-морфологические, статистические. Результаты. Проанализированы показатели жизнеспособности, роста, развития и признаки декоративности (зимо-, морозо- и засухоустойчивость, комплексная стойкость против болезней и вредителей, сохранение габитуса, побегообразование, цветение, окраска, форма, махровость цветков и т. п.) роз 12 сортов серии «Romantica», высаженных на коллекционных и экспозиционных делянках Национального дендропарка «Софиевка» НАН Украины. Исследования проводили в течение 2012–2015 гг. Оценка успешности интродукции большинства сортов равнялась 41–45 баллов из 50 возможных, и эти сорта являются вполне перспективными для условий Правобережной Лесостепи Украины. Сорта ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ и ‘Yves Piaget’, которые имели сумму баллов 35–38, можно считать перспективными. Акклиматизационное число для роз большинства исследованных сортов составило 85–90 баллов из 100 возможных, что означает хорошую адаптацию этих растений в условиях Правобережной Лесостепи Украины. Адаптацию роз сортов ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ и ‘Yves Piaget’ (сумма баллов 75) можно считать удовлетворительной. Итоговая оценка декоративности роз серии «Romantica» составила 76–87 баллов из 100 возможных, а значит, все эти сорта проявляют высокую декоративность и заслуживают внедрения в производство. Выводы. Садовые розы серии «Romantica» компании Meilland, интродуцированные в природно-климатических условия Правобережной Лесостепи Украины, хорошо адаптировались в районе интродукции и являются перспективными для дальнейшего введения в культуру. | Мета. Дослідження проводили протягом 2012–2015 рр. Оцінка успішності інтродукції більшості сортів становила 41–45 балів з 50 можливих, і ці сорти є цілком перспективними для умов Правобережного Лісостепу України. Сорти ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ та ‘Yves Piaget’, що мали суму балів 35–38, можна вважати перспективними. Акліматизаційне число для троянд більшості досліджуваних сортів становило 85–90 балів зі 100 можливих, що означає добру адаптацію цих рослин в умовах Правобережного Лісостепу України. Адаптація троянд сортів ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ та ‘Yves Piaget’ (сума балів 75) є задовільною. Підсумкова оцінка декоративності троянд серії «Romantica» становила 76–87 балів зі 100 можливих, а отже, всі ці сорти виявляють високу декоративність і заслуговують на впровадження у виробництво. Висновки. Садові троянди серії «Romantica» компанії Meilland, інтродуковані в природно-кліматичних умовах Правобережного Лісостепу України, добре адаптувалися в районі інтродукції і є перспективними для подальшого впровадження в культуру.

To study flowering productivity and reproductive ability of multiple-aged plants of introduced Astilba varieties, assess varieties for these characters and investigate the effectiveness of vegetative propagation. Methods. Field experiment, introduction and statistics evaluation. Results. The analysis of published data and author’s own observations revealed that Astilba varieties are highly tolerant for winter and frost conditions as well as pest and disease resistant, therefore we defined flowering productivity and reproductive ability as main economic and biological characters that are subject to assessment. According to the results of flowering efficiency study, it was found that the highest value of this index for the most studied varieties was observed on the fourth year of cultivation. Whereas the majority of varieties rating was relatively low, Astilbe flowering productivity on the whole was sufficiently high. In order to arrange collection plots, flower beds and implement the selection process, the most effective method of vegetative propagation can be used – the division of rhizomes into pieces with three to five renovation buds, and for mass reproduction – with one or two buds. It turned out that for Astilbe the indicator of reproductive ability is specific. For most of the investigated five-year varieties it was quite high. We have noted a high positive correlation between the index of reproductive ability and flowering productivity. Varieties with optimal flowering had high value of planting material yield. Conclusions. Based on the experimental data, the flowering productivity and reproductive ability of multiple- aged plants of Astilbe introduced varieties was studied, varieties was assessed according to these characters, and the effectiveness of vegetative propagation was investigated. | Цель. Изучить продуктивность цветения и репродукционную способность разновозрастных растений интродуцированных сортов астильбы, провести оценивание сортов за этими признаками, а также исследовать эффективность вегетативного размножения. Методы. Полевой, интродукционные и статистические. Результаты. На основе анализа литературных данных и по собственным наблюдениям выяснено, что сорта астильбы отличаются высокой зимо- и морозостойкостью и стойкостью к поражению вредителями и болезнями, поэтому основными хозяйственно-биологичес­кими характеристиками, которые подлежат оцениванию, мы определили продуктивность цветения и репродукционную способность. По результатам исследования продуктивности цветения установлено, что наивысшее значение этого показателя у большинства исследуемых сортов наблюдается на четвертый год культивирования. Несмотря на то, что большинство сортов получили довольно низкую оценку, продуктивность цветения астильбы в целом является достаточно высокой. Для создания коллекционных участков, цветников и обеспечения селекционного процесса наиболее эффективным способом вегетативного размножения является деление корневища на части с тремя–пятью почками возобновления, для массового размножения – с одной–двумя почками. Выяснено, что для астильбы показатель репродукционной способности является сортоспецифеским. Для большинства исследуемых сортов в пятилетней культуре он оказалась довольно высоким. Отмечена высокая позитивная корреляция между показателями репродукционной способности и продуктивности цветения. У сортов, которые имели оптимальную продуктивность цветения, наблюдался высокий показатель выхода посадочного материала. Выводы. На основе полученных экспериментальных данных изучены продуктивность цветения и репродукционная способность разновозрастных растений интродуцированных сортов астильбы, проведено оценивание сортов по этим признакам, а также исследована эффективность вегетативного размножения. | Мета. Вивчити продуктивність цвітіння та репродукційну здатність різновікових рослин інтродукованих сортів астильби, провести оцінювання сортів за цими ознаками, а також дослідити ефективність вегетативного розмноження. Методи. Польовий, інтродукційні та статистичні. Результати. На основі аналізу літературних даних та за власними спостереженнями з’ясовано, що сорти астильби відрізняються високою зимо- та морозостійкістю та стійкістю проти ураження шкідниками й хворобами, тому основними господарсько-біологічними характеристиками, які підлягають оцінюванню ми визначили продуктивність цвітіння та репродукційну здатність. За результатами дослідження продуктивності цвітіння встановлено, що найвище значення цього показника у більшості досліджуваних сортів спостерігається на четвертий рік культивування. Незважаючи на те, що більшість сортів отримали досить низьку оцінку, продуктивність цвітіння астильби загалом є доволі високою. Для створення колекційних ділянок, квітників та забезпечення селекційного процесу найефективнішим способом вегетативного розмноження є поділ кореневища на частини з трьома–п’ятьма бруньками поновлення, для масового розмноження – з однією–двома бруньками. З’ясовано, що для астильби показник репродукційної здатності є сортоспецифічним. Для більшості досліджуваних сортів у п’ятирічній культурі він виявився досить високим. Зазначено високу позитивну кореляцію між показниками репродукційної здатності та продуктивності цвітіння. У сортів, з оптимальною продуктивністю цвітіння спостерігався високий показник виходу посадкового матеріалу. Висновки. На основі отриманих експериментальних даних вивчено продуктивність цвітіння та репродукційну здатність різновікових рослин інтродукованих сортів астильби, проведено оцінювання сортів за цими ознаками, а також досліджено ефективність вегетативного розмноження.
