Вступ. Національні сортові рослинні ресурси мають особливе значення для економічного розвитку України, адже вони забезпечують стабільність галузі рослинниц­тва як складової продовольчої безпеки держави. Аналіз історіографії розвитку державного сортовипробування з 1923 року показав відсутність системного дослідження формуванняя Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні (далі – Реєстр сортів рослин України). Мета. Розкрити історичні етапи формування національних рослинних сортових ресурсів, та обгрунтувати концепцію їхнього розвитку. Методи. Колекція загальновідомих сортів рослин, які перебува­ють чи перебували в комерційному обігу. Методи досліджень – загальнонаукові: гіпотеза, спостереження, аналіз, метод синтезу для формування висновків; джерелознавча база даних з елементами екстрополяції, яка формується за результатами польового, лабораторного та аналітичного дослідження. Результати. Дослідження історії регулювання державного сортовипробування дало змогу з’ясувати, що сортовипробувальна мережа в Україні була створена в 1923 році. Тому формування національних рослинних сортових реурсів має свою майже стодлітню історію. На всіх історичних етапах формування національних рослинних сортових ресурсів предметом дослідження залишається сорт з комплексом своїх морфобіологічних та господарсько-цінних характеристик. Державна реєстрація сорту або прав на нього забезпечує комерційний обіг сорту. Ідентифікація сортів рослин як основа сортової сертифікації збільшує обіг сортів на ринку, забезпечує зростання обсягів виробництва та підвищення якості продукції рослинництва. Сорти рослин, поширені на території України, відповідають загальноприйнятим у міжнародній практиці критеріям відмінності, однорідності та стабільності; задовольняють потреби споживачів за господарсько-цінними характеристиками; не загрожують довкіллю і здоров’ю людини. Формування національних рослинних сортових ресурсів відбувається поетапно з тенденцією підвищення господарсько-цінних критеріїв, що забезпечує конкурентність сучасного ринку сортів і насіння відповідно до міжнародних вимог. Висновки. Формування рослинних сортових ресурсів для задоволення потреб споживачів та/або селекційної практики в Україні відбувалось завдяки доволі тривалим історичним етапам розвитку та інтродукції рослинного різноманіття, форм, критеріїв і методології сортовипробувальної справи в часі і просторі. Об´рунтування історичних аспектів концепції формування сортових ресурсів дозволить оптимізувати структуру сортовипробувальної мережі, організаційні основи державної реєстрації сортів та охорони прав селекціонера.

Introduction. National varietal plant resources are of particular importance for the economic development of Ukraine, because they ensure the stability of the crop industry as a component of the country’s food security. The analysis of the historiography of the development of the state variety testing since 1923 showed the lack of a systematic study of the formation of the State Register of Plant Varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine (hereinafter – the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine). Purpose. To reveal the historical stages of the formation of national plant varietal resources, and substantiate the concept of their development. Methods. A collection of commonly known plant varieties that are or were in commercial circulation. Research methods – general scientific: hypothesis, observation, analysis, synthesis method for drawing conclusions; source study database with elements of extrapolation, which is formed based on the results of field, laboratory and analytical research. Results. The study of the history of state variety testing regulation made it possible to find out that the variety testing netork in Ukraine was established in 1923. The refore, the formation of national varietal plant resources has its own almost a hundred-year history. At all historical stages of the formation of national varietal resources, a variety with a complex of its morphobiological and economically valuable characteristics remains the subject of the research. State registration of a variety or rights to it ensures the commercial circulation of the variety. Identification of plant varieties, as the basis for varietal certification, increases the turnover of varieties on the market, ensures the growth of production volumes and improves the quality of crop products. Plant varieties distributed on the territory of Ukraine correspond to the criteria of distinctness, uniformity and stability generally accepted in international practice; meet the needs of consumers in terms of economically valuable characteristics; do not threaten the environment and human health. The formation of national plant varietal resources takes place in stages with the tendency to increase the economically valuable criteria, which ensures the competitiveness of the modern market of varieties and seeds in accordance with international requirements. Conclusions. The formation of plant varietal resources to meet the needs of consumers and/or breeding practice in Ukraine took place due to rather long historical stages of development and introduction of plant diversity, forms, criteria and methodology of varietal testing in time and space. The substantiation of the historical aspects of the concept of the varietal resources formation will allow optimizing the structure of the variety testing network, organizational foundations of the state registration of varieties and the protection of breeder’s rights. | Вступ. The article explains meaning of successive introduction of plants followed by their integration into cultivation, and scientifically grounded development of national varietal sources from the diversity of plants taking into account methodological aspects of practical application of botanical semantic, classification and binary nomenclature of botanical taxa. It also shows scientific aspects of systematic units differentiation caused by relevant Latin names of botanical taxa, which are to facilitate harmonization of UPOV membertates cooperation in the protection of rights of intellectual property on breeding achievements – plant varieties.

Мета. Виділення донорів цінних селекційно-генетичних ознак та створення нового вихідного матеріалу для селекції батьківських компонентів гібридів буряків цукрових за формою коренеплоду. Оцінка продуктивного потенціалу екс­периментальних гібридів буряків цукрових з поліпшеними параметрами форми коренеплоду. Методи. Польовий (закладання дослідів, фенологічні спостереження), лабораторний (визначення вмісту цукру), вимірювально-ваговий (визначення структури врожаю), статистичний (математична обробка отриманих результатів досліджень). Результати. Представлено результати оцінки базової продуктивності батьківських компонентів різної генетичної структури та продуктивності експериментальних гібридів буряків цукрових з поліпшеною формою коренеплоду. Установлено підвищення врожайності коренеплодів, збору і виходу цукру з одиниці площі у гібридів буряків цукрових на цитоплазматичній чоловічостерильній (ЦЧС) основі, створених з використанням багаторосткових запилювачів з поліпшеною формою коренеплоду (овально-конічна). Експериментальні гібриди сформовані на основі багаторосткових запилювачів першого покоління бекросу (ВС1) переважали груповий стандарт за врожайністю коренеплодів на 15,2–22,8%, збором і виходом цукру – на 14,4–19,4 і 11,5–17,5% відповідно. Уміст цукрів у коренеплодах був нижчим або на рівні групового стандарту. Аналогічні показники гібридів сформованих на основі запилювачів другого покоління бекросу (ВС2) становили 14,0–21,2%, 17,0–23,2% і 17,6–23,9%, відповідно. Вміст цукру в їх коренеплодах був на рівні групового стандарту. Показники індексу форми коренеплоду становили 1,32 та 1,28 відповідно. Гібриди, сформовані на основі вихідних багаторосткових запилювачів, характеризувалися конічною формою коренеплоду (індекс форми – 0,61). За показниками врожайності, збору і виходу цукру з одиниці площі вони були на рівні групового стандарту. Висновки. Установлено, що форма корененеплоду є важливим чинником поліпшення продуктивного потенціалу буряків цукрових у селекції на гетерозис. Зміна форми коренеплоду з конічної на овально-конічну призводить до підвищення продуктивності багаторосткових запилювачів буряків цукрових на 8–19% та гібридів створених за їх участі на 17–23%.

Purpose. Isolation of donors of valuable breeding and genetic traits and the creation of a new source material for the selection of parental components of sugar beet hybrids according to the shape of the root. Evaluation of the productive potential of experimental sugar beet hybrids with improved root shape parameters. Methods. Field (experiments, phenological observations), laboratory (determination of sugar content), measuring and weighing (determination of crop structure), statistical (mathematical processing of research results). Results. The results of the evaluation of the basic productivity of parental components of different genetic structure and productivity of experimental sugar beet hybrids with improved root shape are presented. An increase in the yield of root crops, sugar yield and sugar output per unit area in sugar beet hybrids on a cytoplasmic male-sterile (CMS) basis, created using multigerm pollinators with an improved root crop shape (oval-conical), has been established.  Experimental hybrids formed on the basis of first generation of multigerm pollinators of backcross (BC1) prevailed the group standard in root crop yield by 15.2–22.8%, sugar yield and sugar output by 14.4–19.4% and 11.5–17.5%, respectively. The sugar content was below or at the level of the group standard. Similar indicators of hybrids formed on the basis of pollinators of the second generation of backcross (BC2) were 14.0–21.2%, 17.0–23.2% and 17.6–23.9%, respectively. The sugar content was at the level of the group standard. Root shape index indicators were 1.32 and 1.28, respectively. The hybrids formed using the initial multigerm pollinators were characterized by a conical root shape (shape index – 0.61). According to indicators of yield, sugar yield and sugar output per unit area, they were at the level of the group standard. Conclusions. It was established that the shape of the root crop is an important factor in improving the productive potential of sugar beets in selection for heterosis. The change in the shape of the root crop from conical to oval-conical leads to an increase in the productivity of multigerm pollinators of sugar beets by 8–19% and hybrids created with their participation by 17–23%. | Мета. Установити основний склад алелохімікатів та активність їхніх водних екстрактів з насіння сорго цукрового – гібридів з високою та середньої цукристістю ‘Sugargraze ARG’ (Аргентина), ‘Sioux’ (США) та ‘Ананас’ (Україна) на енергію проростання та схожість насіння тест-культур (горох, конюшина). Методи. Використовували алелопатичні, фізіолого-біохімічні, агрохімічні та статистичні методи. Алелопатичну активність виділень (водорозчинних) з насіння досліджуваних гібридів сорго визначали методом прямого біотестування. Хімічний складник алелопатично активних речовин визначали шляхом екстрагування. Результати. Установлено, що водні екстракти з насіння сорго цук­рового гібридів ‘Sugargraze ARG’, ‘Sioux’ та ‘Ананас’ мають високий уміст фітохімікатів і в концентрації 40 та 50% пригнічували енергію проростання та схожість насіння гороху та конюшини в середньому на 15–42%. Водні екстракти концентрацій від 5 до 30% досліджуваних гібридів виявляли стимулювальний і толерантний ефект на якісні показники насіння біотестових культур конюшини та гороху, оскільки показники проростання були на рівні контролю або на 5–7% вищі за нього, тобто виявляли найменшу алелопатичну активність. Висновки. Насіння сорго цукрового має достатню кількість алелохімікатів, видоспецифічність дії яких залежить від сортових відмінностей за вмістом фенольних сполук (глікозидів), дубильних речовин, кислот та вуглеводів. Активність алелохімікатів, екстрагованих з насіння, проявлялась слабко у стимулювальній дії і високо – у пригнічувальній. Для водорозчинних виділень насіння сорго характерне різке зменшення вияву алелопатичної активності за зниження концентрації витягів до 5–20%. Дослідження водорозчинних виділень насіння в концентрації 30–50% засвідчили їх високу загальну алелопатичну активність, яка виявлялась у пригніченні проростання насіння біотестових культур на 42%. Видоспецифічність дії алелохімікатів необхідно враховувати під час засівання багатокомпонентних полів, планування сівозмін, застосування сорго цукрового як сидерату.

Aim. To establish the main composition of allelochemicals and the activity of their aqueous extracts from sweet sorghum seeds – hybrids with high and medium sugar content ‘Sugargraze ARG’ (Argentina), ‘Sioux’ (USA) and ‘Ananas’ (Ukraine) on germination energy and seed germination of test crops (peas, clover). Methods. Allelopathic, physiological-biochemical, agrochemical and statistical methods were used. The allelopathic activity of extracts (water-soluble) from the seeds of the studied sorghum hybrids was determined by direct biotesting. The chemical component of allelopathically active substances was determined by extraction. Results. Aqueous extracts from sweet sorghum seeds of hybrids ‘Sugar­graze ARG’, ‘Sioux’ and ‘Ananas’ were found to have a high content of phytochemicals and at a concentration of 40 and 50% inhibited the germination energy and germination of pea and clover seeds by an average of 15–42%. Aqueous extracts of concentrations from 5 to 30% of the studied hybrids showed a stimulating and tolerant effect on the quality of seeds of biotest crops of clover and peas, as germination rates were at the level of control or 5–7% higher, i.e. showed the least allelopathic activity. Conclusions. Sweet sorghum seeds have a sufficient number of allelochemicals, the specificity of which depends on varietal differences in the content of phenolic compounds (glycosides), tannins, acids and carbohydrates. The activity of the allelochemicals extracted from the seeds was weak in the stimulating effect and high in the inhibitory one. For water-soluble extracts from sorghum seeds, a sharp decrease in the manifestation of allelopathic activity is characteristic when their concentration decreases to 5–20%. Studies of water-soluble extracts of seeds at a concentration of 30–50% showed their high overall allelopathic activity, which was manifested in the inhibition of seed germination of biotest crops by 42%. The species-specific action of allelochemicals must be taken into account when sowing multicomponent fields, crop rotation planning, and the use of sweet sorghum as green manure. | Мета. Установити основний склад алелохімікатів та активність їхніх водних екстрактів з насіння сорго цукрового – гібридів з високою та середньої цукристістю ‘Sugargraze ARG’ (Аргентина), ‘Sioux’ (США) та ‘Ананас’ (Україна) на енергію проростання та схожість насіння тест-культур (горох, конюшина). Мета. Виявити особливості формування продуктивності сортів квасолі спаржевої різного еколого-географічного походження в умовах Лісостепу України. Методи. Упродовж 2020–2021 рр. у польових умовах (м. Умань, 48°46’N, 30°14’E) досліджували шість ранньостиглих сортів квасолі: ‘Зіронька’, ‘Касабланка’ (Україна), ‘Lila Königin’ (Німеччина), ‘Laura’ (Польща), ‘Fruidor’ (Франція) та ‘Paloma’ (Нідерланди). У фазі технічної та повної стиглості культури (BBCH 75 і 99) аналізували біометричні та продуктивні показники рослин, а також біохімічний склад продукції (зелених бобів). Результати. Виділено карликові сорти ‘Lila Königin’ і ‘Касабланка’, які надалі можна використовувати в селекції як джерело цієї ознаки. Виявлено сорти з високим прикріпленням нижнього боба, придатні до механізованого збирання врожаю – ‘Касабланка’, ‘Зіронька’, ‘Laura’ і ‘Paloma’. Установлено, що найпродуктивнішими сортами є ‘Зіронька’, ‘Касабланка’ і ‘Paloma’, маса бобів у яких була в межах 43,1–86,0 г, а врожайність зелених бобів – 9,39–19,35 т/га. За врожайністю насіння високопродуктивними виявилися сорти ‘Зіронька’ – 3,51 т/га, ‘Касабланка’ – 3,78 т/га та ‘Lila Königin’ – 2,65 т/га. Оцінювання біохімічного складу зелених бобів квасолі не дало змоги виділити сорти за комплексом показників, проте, як джерело ознаки з високим відсотком сухого залишку виділився сорт ‘Paloma’ (11%), за вмістом протеїну – ‘Fruidor’ (18,7%), цукрів – ‘Lila Königin’ (2,60%), за вмістом аскорбінової кислоти – ‘Fruidor’ (23,0 мг/100 г). Низьким умістом нітратів відзначався сорт ‘Lila Königin’ (129,0 мг/кг). Висновки. Оцінювання сортів квасолі спаржевої за варіабельністю морфологічних ознак та продуктивністю дало змогу рекомендувати для використання у виробництві сорти ‘Paloma’ і ‘Касабланка’. Визначено сорти з поліпшеними показниками біохімічного складу, які можна використовувати як джерела цих ознак для селекції.

Purpose. To reveal the features of productivity formation of French bean varieties of different ecological and geographical origin in the conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. During 2020–2021 six early maturing varieties of beans – ‘Zironka’, ‘Casablanca’ (Ukraine), ‘Lila Königin’ (Germany), ‘Laura’ (Poland), ‘Fruidor’ (France) and ‘Paloma’ (the Netherlands) were studied in the field (Uman, 48°46’N, 30°14’E). Biometric and productivity indicators of plants, as well as the biochemical composition of products (green beans) were analyzed in technical and full maturity of the culture (BBCH 75 and 99). Results. The dwarf varie­ties ‘Lila Königin’ and ‘Casablanca’ were identified, which can be used in breeding as a source of this trait. Varieties with high attachment of the lower bean, suitable for mechanized harvesting – ‘Casablanca’, ‘Zironka’, ‘Laura’ and ‘Paloma’ were identified.  It was revealed that the most productive varieties were ‘Zironka’, ‘Casablanca’ and ‘Paloma’, the mass of beans in which was in the range of 43.1–86.0 g, and the yield of green beans was 9.39–19.35 t/ha. In terms of seed yield, the varieties ‘Zironka’ turned out to be highly productive – 3.51 t/ha, ‘Casablanca’ – 3.78 t/ha and ‘Lila Königin’ – 2.65 t/ha. Evaluation of the biochemical composition of green beans of French bean did not allow to distinguish varieties by a set of indicators, however, as a source of traits with a high percentage of dry residue stood out variety ‘Paloma’ – 11%; by the share of protein – ‘Fruidor’ – 18.7%; for the share of sugars – ‘Lila Königin’ – 2.60%, for the content of ascorbic acid ‘Fruidor’ – 23.0 mg/100 g and with low content of nitrates – the variety ‘Lila Königin’ – 129.0 mg/kg. Conclusions. The evaluation of French bean varieties by morphological variability and productivity allowed to recommend ‘Paloma’ and ‘Casablanca’ varieties for use in production. Varie­ties with improved biochemical parameters that can be used as sources of traits for breeding were identified. | Мета. Виявити особливості формування продуктивності сортів квасолі спаржевої різного еколого-географічного походження в умовах Лісостепу України. Методи. Упродовж 2020–2021 рр. у польових умовах (м. Умань, 48°46’N, 30°14’E) досліджували шість ранньостиглих сортів квасолі: ‘Зіронька’, ‘Касабланка’ (Україна), ‘Lila Königin’ (Німеччина), ‘Laura’ (Польща), ‘Fruidor’ (Франція) та ‘Paloma’ (Нідерланди). У фазі технічної та повної стиглості культури (BBCH 75 і 99) аналізували біометричні та продуктивні показники рослин, а також біохімічний склад продукції (зелених бобів). Результати. Виділено карликові сорти ‘Lila Königin’ і ‘Касабланка’, які надалі можна використовувати в селекції як джерело цієї ознаки. Виявлено сорти з високим прикріпленням нижнього боба, придатні до механізованого збирання врожаю – ‘Касабланка’, ‘Зіронька’, ‘Laura’ і ‘Paloma’. Установлено, що найпродуктивнішими сортами є ‘Зіронька’, ‘Касабланка’ і ‘Paloma’, маса бобів у яких була в межах 43,1–86,0 г, а врожайність зелених бобів – 9,39–19,35 т/га. За врожайністю насіння високопродуктивними виявилися сорти ‘Зіронька’ – 3,51 т/га, ‘Касабланка’ – 3,78 т/га та ‘Lila Königin’ – 2,65 т/га. Оцінювання біохімічного складу зелених бобів квасолі не дало змоги виділити сорти за комплексом показників, проте, як джерело ознаки з високим відсотком сухого залишку виділився сорт ‘Paloma’ (11%), за вмістом протеїну – ‘Fruidor’ (18,7%), цукрів – ‘Lila Königin’ (2,60%), за вмістом аскорбінової кислоти – ‘Fruidor’ (23,0 мг/100 г). Низьким умістом нітратів відзначався сорт ‘Lila Königin’ (129,0 мг/кг). Висновки. Оцінювання сортів квасолі спаржевої за варіабельністю морфологічних ознак та продуктивністю дало змогу рекомендувати для використання у виробництві сорти ‘Paloma’ і ‘Касабланка’. Визначено сорти з поліпшеними показниками біохімічного складу, які можна використовувати як джерела цих ознак для селекції.

Юр'єва НААН (Полтавська обл., 49°18'21"N, 33°13'56"E) досліджували 30 нових зразків гороху походженням із Білорусі, Азербайджану, Канади, Польщі та Нідерландів. У фазі достигання стручків та насіння (BBCH 86-90) у польових та лабо­раторних умовах визначали показники врожайності, продуктивності, маси 1000 насінин, скоростиглості, висоти рослин та висоти прикріплення нижніх бобів над рівнем ґрунту, кількості вузлів до першого бобу та загальну кількість їх на рослині, кількості бобів та насіння на рослині, кількості насіння в бобі, параметри бобу. Результати. У процесі вивчення нових зразків гороху овочевого встановлено розмах рівня варіювання їх урожайності від 200,5 до 300,0 г/м2, при цьому найурожайнішими були сорти 'Алекс', 'Атлант', 'Минский овощной' (Білорусь), 'Fidan' (Азербайджан), 'Darata' (Канада), 'Angela' (Нідерланди), у яких маса насіння з рослини перевищувала 10,0 г. Показники продуктивності рослини були висо­кими завдяки як підвищеній кількості насінин, так і масі 1000 зерен. Майже всі досліджені зразки виявилися середньо­стиглими (71-80 діб) і є оптимальними для зони Південного Лісостепу України. Найбільш скоростиглими (64-69 діб) були білоруські сорти 'Ян', 'Гонцо', 'Горьінец', 'Альфа', 'Прьівабньї', 'Мальїш' та нідерландський сорт 'Angela'. Найбільш низько­рослими виявилися білоруські сорти - 'Горьінец', 'Влад', 'Альфа', 'Атлант' та ін. (31,0-60,0 см), які можна використати як джерела за цією ознакою. Особливої уваги заслуговують сорти, які поєднують у собі кілька цінних ознак: 'Алекс', 'Атлант', 'Минский овощной', 'Корелический овощной', 'Слодьіч', 'Мальїш', 'Космай', 'Кельвидон' (Білорусь), 'Fidan' (Азербайджан), 'Jof (Польща), 'CDC Limerick' (Канада), 'Orix' (Іспанія). Висновки. Вищезазначені сорти можна рекомендувати як джерела цінних ознак для практичного використання в селекції, а також вони є придатними для вирощування в зоні Південного Лісостепу, за умови включення до Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні.

Aim. To assess new introduced varieties of pea (Pisum sativum L.) of different ecological and geographical origin in conditions of the Southern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine according to a set of productivity and adaptability indicators. Methods. During 2018–2020 in the conditions of Ustymivka Experimental Station of Plant Production of the Plant Production Institute named after V. Ya. Yuriev NAAS of Ukraine (Poltava region, 49°18′21″N, 33°13′56″E) 30 new pea samples originating from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Canada, Poland and the Netherlands were studied. In the ripening phase of pods and seeds (BBCH 86–90) in field and laboratory conditions yields, productivity, 1000 beans weight, early-ripening, plant height and height of attachment of the lower pods above the soil level, number of nodes to the first pod and their total number per plant, number of pods and seeds per plant, number of seeds per pod, pod parameters were studied. Results. As a result of studying new samples of pea, the range of variation of their yield from 200.5 to 300.0 g/m2 was established, while the varieties ‘Aleks’, ‘Atlant’, ‘Minskiy ovoschnoy’ (Belarus), ‘Fidan’ (Azerbaijan), ‘Dacota’ (Canada), ‘Angela’ (Netherlands) were more productive, in which the mass of grain from the plant exceeded 10.0 g. The productivity of the plant was high due to both the increased number of seeds and the weight of 1000 grains. Almost all the studied samples were mediumripe (71–80 days) and are optimal for the Southern Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. The most early maturing (64–69 days) were the Belarusian varieties ‘Yan’, ‘Gontso’, ‘Goryinets’, ‘Alfa’, ‘Pryivabnyi’, ‘Malyish’ and the Dutch ‘Angela’ variety. The lowest varieties were Belarusian varieties – ‘Goryinets’, ‘Vlad’, ‘Alfa’, ‘Atlant’ and others (31.0–60.0 cm), which can be used as sources on this basis. Special attention should be paid to varieties that combine several valuable features: ‘Aleks’, ‘Atlant’, ‘Minskiy ovoschnoy’, ‘Korelicheskiy ovoschnoy’, ‘Slodyich’, ‘Malyish’, ‘Kosmay’, ‘Kelvidon’ (Belarus), ‘Fidan’ (Azerbaijan), ‘Jof’ (Poland), ‘CDC Limerick’ (Canada), ‘Orix’ (Spain). Conclusions. The above varieties can be recommended as sources of valuable traits for practical use in breeding, and they are suitable for cultivation in the Southern Forest-Steppe, subject to inclusion in the State Register of plant varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine. | Мета. Мета. Виявити особливості успадкування кількості зерен у колосі, схрещуючи різні за походженням, напрямами використання і різновидностями сорти ячменю ярого, та виокремити ефективні генетичні джерела для поліпшення цієї ознаки. Методи. Дослідження проводили в Миронівському інституті пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН у 2019 і 2020 рр. В F1 ячменю ярого двох діалельних схем схрещування за кількістю зерен у колосі визначили ступінь фенотипового домінування, параметри генетичної варіації та комбінаційну здатність. Результати. За показником ступеня фенотипового домінування виявлено всі можливі типи успадкування кількості зерен у колосі. У низки комбінацій схрещування встановлено зміну типу успадкування залежно від умов року. Найбільшу кількість комбінацій із наддомінуванням в обох роках відмічено у комбінаціях з плівчастим остистим сортом ‘Авгур’ та безостим сортом ‘Козир’. За параметрами генетичної варіації у схрещуваннях пивоварних сортів (плівчастих остистих) виявлено відповідність адитивно-домінантній моделі, наддомінування і домінування у локусах, а також односпрямованість домінування на збільшення ознаки, зумовлене домінантними ефектами. У схрещуваннях сортів різних ботанічних різновидностей виявлено зміну дії генів у різні роки. А саме: адитивно-домінантної системи – комплементарним епістазом, неповного домінування – наддомінуванням, односпрямованості домінування на збільшення ознаки – різноспрямованістю. Виділено генетичні джерела підвищеної загальної комбінаційної здатності, зокрема плівчасті остисті сорти пивоварного напряму ‘Quench’ і ‘Авгур’, голозерний та безостий сорти ‘CDC Rattan’ і ‘Козир’ відповідно. На основі констант специфічної комбінаційної здатності визначено найбільш перспективні комбінації для подальшої селекційної роботи. Висновки. Виявлені особливості успадкування кількості зерен у колосі дають змогу оптимально комбінувати батьківські компоненти схрещувань і здійснювати цілеспрямований добір на збільшення ознаки у процесі створення ботанічних різновидностей сортів ячменю ярого різних напрямів використання.

Hybrid breeding in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) offers great opportunities to accelerate the rate of genetic improvement and to boost yield stability. A crucial requirement consists of the efficient selection of superior hybrid combinations. We used comprehensive phenotypic and genomic data from a commercial breeding program with the goal of examining the potential to predict the hybrid performances. The phenotypic data were comprised of replicated grain yield trials for 385 two‐way and 408 three‐way hybrids evaluated in up to 47 environments. The parental lines were genotyped using a 3k single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array based on an Illumina Infinium assay. We implemented ridge regression best linear unbiased prediction modeling for additive and dominance effects and evaluated the prediction ability using five‐fold cross validations. The prediction ability of hybrid performances based on general combining ability (GCA) effects was moderate, amounting to 0.56 and 0.48 for two‐ and three‐way hybrids, respectively. The potential of GCA‐based hybrid prediction requires that both parental components have been evaluated in a hybrid background. This is not necessary for genomic prediction for which we also observed moderate cross‐validated prediction abilities of 0.51 and 0.58 for two‐ and three‐way hybrids, respectively. This exemplifies the potential of genomic prediction in hybrid barley. Interestingly, prediction ability using the two‐way hybrids as training population and the three‐way hybrids as test population or vice versa was low, presumably, because of the different genetic makeup of the parental source populations. Consequently, further research is needed to optimize genomic prediction approaches combining different source populations in barley.

A total of 310 Barley accessions collected from ICARDA, Lebanon and grown in Indian condition at ICARDA-IRP (India Research Platform), Amlaha, (M.P.) were analyzed for morphological and genetic variability using nine agro-morphological traits i.e. Plant height (cm), number oftillers per plant, daysto heading, number of ear headsper pant, length ofear (cm), number of spikelets per earhead, number of grains per earhead, yield per plant (g), and 1000-grain weight (g). The highest coefficient of variation as a result of highest diversity among the genotypes were found for grains per earhead (37.5%), spikelets per earhead (37.5%), yield per plant (35.3%), tillers per plant (31.3%) and earhead per plant (31.2%). However, ear length (16.9%), days to heading (15.4%), 1000-grain weight (13.5%) and plant height (11.2%) have conributued less to diversity with lower cofficient of variation. In cluster analysis, all the characters were used to construct a distance matrix using the Euclidian coefficient, and used to generate dendrogram showing similarity among all the genotypes, distance coefficient ranged between 0 and 200 which reveal the genetic diversity among genotypes. These exotic accessions evaluated can be further used for primary or secondary introduction in Indian breeding program.

The purpose of this study was to test the STS-marker for the Nud1 gene controlling the hulled phenotype, and use it for the production of naked barley hybrids. Materials and methods. Genotyping of 112 F2 hybrids obtained by crossing the naked black variety ‘Jet’ and the hulled white variety ‘Elf’ was carried out using wF2 and kR1, or tR2 primers in the regular PCR mode to amplify the recessive or dominant alleles of the Nud1 gene, respectively, and also in the multiplex PCR mode, which allows simultaneous amplification of both dominant and recessive alleles of the Nud1 gene. The genotyping data were compared with those on phenotypes of hybrids. Results and discussion. The possibility of using multiplex PCR with a set of primers wF2, kR1, and tR2 for identifying dominant and recessive alleles of the Nud1 gene in hybrid material has been demonstrated. However, while the observed number of hybrids homozygous for the recessive allele nud1 almost completely corresponded to their expected number, the clear predominance of homozygotes for the dominant allele Nud1 and the lack of heterozygotes compared to the expected number of hybrids of these groups indicates erroneous identification of some heterozygotes as dominant homozygotes, which must be taken into account during selection of hulled barleys by genotyping. Conclusions. The STS-marker amplified by primers wF2, kR1, and tR2, can be used to select recessive homozygotes nud1nud1 from hybrid populations, however, additional analysis is required for a more reliable identification of heterozygotes and homozygotes for the dominant allele of the Nud1 gene.

Eighteen hybrids generated from crossing six lines with three testers were studied along with their parents for combining ability and gene action involved in the expression of characters in barley to identify suitable parents and desirable hybrid combinations. Observations were recorded for days to ear emergence, days to maturity, the number of productive tillers per plant, ear length (cm.), grains per spike, biological yield per plant (g.), harvest index (%), 1000-grain weight and grain yield per plant (g.). The mean squares for General Combining Ability (GCA) and Specific Combining Ability (SCA) effects were found highly significant for all the traits studied. Among the parents, tester NDB-1173 and lines RD-2909, RD-2899 and RD-2768 were good general combiners for grain yield and its component traits. On the basis of SCA effects, RD-2909 x NDB-943, NDB-1618 x NDB-1173, RD-2768 x NDB-3, HUB-240 x NDB-1173 and RD-2899 x NDB-943 for grain yield were observed as most promising crosses.

Голозерный ячмень является перспективной продовольственной культурой. Для увеличения его производства необходима активная селекционная работа по созданию высокопродуктивных сортов. Целью представленной работы является апробация STS-маркера к гену Nud1, контролирующему пленчатость, для отбора голозерных гибридов ячменя. Материалы и методы. Генотипирование 112 гибридов популяции F2, полученной с помощью скрещивания голозерного черноколосого сорта ‘Jet’ и пленчатого белоколосого сорта ‘Эльф’, проводили с помощью праймеров wF2 и kR1, либо tR2, в режиме обычной ПЦР, которая позволила амплифицировать фрагменты рецессивного, либо доминантного аллелей гена Nud1, соответственно, а также в режиме мультиплексной ПЦР, позволяющей одновременно амплифицировать фрагменты и доминантного, и рецессивного аллелей гена Nud1. Данные генотипирования сопоставляли с фенотипами гибридов. Результаты и обсуждение. Показана возможность использования мультиплексной ПЦР с набором праймеров wF2, kR1, tR2 для выявления доминантных и рецессивных аллелей гена Nud1 в гибридном материале. Однако, если наблюдаемая частота гибридов гомозиготных по рецессивному аллелю nud1 почти полностью соответствовала их ожидаемой частоте при моногенном типе наследования, то явное преобладание гомозигот по доминантному аллелю Nud1 и недостаток гетерозигот по сравнению с ожидаемыми частотами гибридов этих групп указывает на ошибочную идентификацию части гетерозигот как доминантных гомозигот, что нужно учитывать при отборе пленчатых форм с помощью генотипирования. Заключение. STS-маркер, амплифицируемый с помощью праймеров wF2, kR1, tR2, возможно использовать для отбора рецесcивных гомозигот nud1nud1 из гибридных популяций, однако для более надежной идентификации гетерозигот и гомозигот по доминантному аллелю гена Nud1 необходим дополнительный анализ.

KEY MESSAGE: Evaluation of breeding progress for spring barley varieties in Germany showed that both grain yield and malting quality were considerably improved during the last 33 years, and that genetic effects of protein concentration and malting traits were not associated. Based on historical data, this study aimed to investigate yield potential and malting quality of 187 varieties tested and released in German registration trials to evaluate the value for cultivation and use (VCU) during 1983–2015, and to quantify the environmental variability and the association among traits. We used mixed linear models with multiple linear regression terms to dissect genetic and non-genetic trend components. Grain yield increased by 43% (23.4 dt ha⁻¹) in VCU trials and 35% (14.0 dt ha⁻¹) on-farm relative to 1983. All yield components contributed significantly. Malting quality was also considerably improved by 2.3% for extract content up to 25.1% for friability, relative to 1983, nearly completely due to new varieties. Total variability of individual traits was very different between traits (2.4–24.4% relative to 1983). The relative influence of genotypes on total variation was low for grain yield and its components, whereas it was considerably larger for other traits. We found remarkable differences between phenotypic and genetic correlation coefficients for grain yield and protein concentration with malting traits. The observed positive phenotypic relation between grain yield and malting quality can be attributed to a shift of selection and environmental effects, but genetic correlations showed a negative association. Genetic effects of protein concentration and malting quality were not correlated indicating that both were not genetically linked. Considerable yield progress and improvement of malting quality were achieved despite of their weak to moderate negative genetic dependence.

Мета. Виявити селекційно-генетичні особливості ячменю ярого за масою 1000 зерен та виділити генетичні джерела для селекції в умовах центральної частини Лісостепу України. Методи. Дослідження проводили в Миронівському інституті пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН. Досліджували F1 двох повних (6 ´ 6) діалельних схем схрещувань. Перша схема включала сучасні як вітчизняні, так закордонні сорти ячменю ярого пивоварного напряму (‘МІП Титул’, ‘Авгур’, ‘Datcha’, ‘Quench’, ‘Gladys’, ‘Beatrix’), друга – класичні плівчасті остисті (‘МІП Мирослав’, ‘Sebastian’), безості (‘Козир’, ‘Вітраж’) та голозерні (‘Condor’, ‘CDC Rattan’) сорти. Результати. Виявлено різні типи успадкування маси 1000 зерен, за винятком негативного домінування. Частка комбінацій з відповідними значеннями ступеня фенотипового домінування змінювалась залежно від залучених до схрещувань генотипів та років випробувань. В обох схемах схрещування як у 2019-му, так і у 2020 р. в більшості комбінацій виявлено позитивне наддомінування. Найбільшу кількість комбінацій із проявом гетерозису за різних умов вирощування відзначено в разі залучення до схрещувань сортів ‘Gladys’ і ‘МІП Мирослав’. За параметрами генетичної варіації виявлено, що ознака визначалась переважно адитивно-домінантною системою. Домінування було спрямованим на збільшення маси 1000 зерен. Лише у другій схемі схрещувань у 2019 р. значення показника спрямованості домінування було недостовірним. У локусах виявлено неповне домінування у 2019-му та наддомінування у 2020 р. Достовірно високі ефекти загальної комбінаційної здатності в обидва роки відзначено для сортів ‘Datcha’, ‘Gladys’, ‘МІП Мирослав’, ‘Козир’ і ‘Вітраж’. Висновки. Виявлені селекційно-генетичні особливості вказують, що в переважної більшості створених гібридних комбінацій необхідним буде остаточний добір за масою 1000 зерен у пізніших поколіннях, коли домінантні алелі перейдуть у гомозиготний стан. Як ефективні генетичні джерела для підвищення маси 1000 зерен можуть бути використані остисті сорти ‘Gladys’, ‘МІП Мирослав’ і ‘Datcha’, а також безості – ‘Козир’ і ‘Вітраж’.

Мета. Виявити особливості рівня прояву і варіабельність кількості зерен у колосі ячменю ярого та виділити нові генетичні джерела за поєднанням підвищеного та стабільного рівня прояву ознаки для селекції в умовах центральної частини Лісостепу України. Методи. Дослідження проведено у 2018–2020 рр. в умовах Миронівського інституту пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН. Дослідили 96 колекційних зразків різних підвидів та груп різновидностей ячменю ярого походженням з 15 країн світу. Застосовували низку статистичних параметрів та графічних моделей. Результати. Дисперсійним аналізом AMMI моделі виявлено достовірно високі частки внеску у загальній фенотиповій варіації усіх її складових: умов року (33,8–40,2%), генотипу (35,2–48,9%) і взаємодії генотип–середовище (17,3–29,3%). За показниками гомеостатичності (Homi) і селекційної цінності (Sci) та візуалізаціями GGE biplot диференційовано зразки відповідно до рівня прояву і варіабельності ознаки та виокремлено нові генетичні джерела для селекції. Коефіцієнт фенотипової варіації варіював від низького у дворядних плівчастих зразків (PCV = 9,60%) до наближеного до високого у голозерних (PCV = 18,9%). Високе значення коефіцієнту генотипової варіації виявлено у голозерних (GCV = 10,95%) та шестирядних зразків (GCV = 13,28%). Коефіцієнт успадковуваності ознаки мав значення від високого (H2 = 79,4%) у дворядних зразків до наближеного до низького (H2 = 33,7%) у шестирядних. Очікуване генетичне поліпшення становило від середнього у багаторядних зразків (GAM = 13,10%) до високого у голозерних (GAM = 23,51%). Висновки. Виділено колекційні зразки які поєднують підвищену озерненість та її відносну стабільність: дворядні плівчасті – ‘Тівер’ (UKR), ‘Almonte’ (CAN), ‘Despina’ (DEU), ‘Cымбат’ (KAZ), ‘Смарагд’ (UKR), ‘Новатор’ (UKR); дворядні голозерні – ‘CDC Candle’ (CAN) і ‘Millhouse’ (CAN), багаторядні плівчасті – ‘AC Westech’ (CAN) і ‘AC Alma’ (CAN). Перспективою подальших досліджень є залучення виділених зразків для створення нового вихідного матеріалу та встановлення особливостей успадкування кількості зерен у колосі, а також виявлення взаємозв’язків цієї ознаки з іншими структурними елементами врожайності.

A collection of 379 Hordeum vulgare cultivars, comprising all combinations of spring and winter growth habits with two and six row ear type, was screened by genome wide association analysis to discover alleles controlling traits related to grain yield. Genotypes were obtained at 6,810 segregating gene-based single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) loci and corresponding field trial data were obtained for eight traits related to grain yield at four European sites in three countries over two growth years. The combined data were analyzed and statistically significant associations between the traits and regions of the barley genomes were obtained. Combining this information with the high resolution gene map for barley allowed the identification of candidate genes underlying all scored traits and superposition of this information with the known genomics of grain trait genes in rice resulted in the assignation of 13 putative barley genes controlling grain traits in European cultivated barley. Several of these genes are associated with grain traits in both winter and spring barley.

The 21 hybrids were generated by applying LxT mating design using seven lines and three testers and were subjected to study combining ability for nine yield traits of barley. ANOVA was significant for GCA and SCA effect, indicating parents and crosses differed significantly with regard to general and specific combining ability, respectively. The GCA effect recorded for most of the traits were low and non-significant. However, two lines EC-667509 and EC-667365; one tester, NDB3 recorded the high GCA effect in three traits eachviz., productive tillers per plant, the number of grains per spike and 1000-grain weight; grain yield per plant, harvest index and 1000-grain weight; days to 75% maturity, the number of grains per spike and harvest index, respectively. Non-significant SCA effect for all the traits was observed in 12 out of 21 crosses. In respect to the SCA effect, cross EC-667498 x Azad performed better than the remaining cross combinations, as it recorded the high SCA effect in desirable direction in five out of nine traits.

Genebanks hold comprehensive collections of cultivars, landraces and crop wild relatives of all major food crops, but their detailed characterization has so far been limited to sparse core sets. The analysis of genome-wide genotyping-by-sequencing data for almost all barley accessions of the German ex situ genebank provides insights into the global population structure of domesticated barley and points out redundancies and coverage gaps in one of the world’s major genebanks. Our large sample size and dense marker data afford great power for genome-wide association scans. We detect known and novel loci underlying morphological traits differentiating barley genepools, find evidence for convergent selection for barbless awns in barley and rice and show that a major-effect resistance locus conferring resistance to bymovirus infection has been favored by traditional farmers. This study outlines future directions for genomics-assisted genebank management and the utilization of germplasm collections for linking natural variation to human selection during crop evolution.

Purpose. To reveal the peculiarities of inheritance of kernel number per spike in crosses of spring barley cultivars of different origin, purpose of use and botanical varieties, as well as to distinguish effective genetic sources for impro­ving the trait.Methods. The study was carried out at the M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in 2019 and 2020. In F1 of spring barley in two diallel crossing schemes the degree of phenotypic dominance, parameters of genetic variation, and combining ability for kernel number per spike were determined. Results. According to the indicator of the degree of phenotypic dominance, all possible types of inheritance of kernel number per spike were identified. In a number of crossing compositions, a change in the type of inheritance depending on the conditions of the year was revealed. Most combinations with overdominance in both years were noted in crossings of the covered awned cultivar ‘Avgur’, as well as the covered awnless cultivar ‘Kozyr’. According to the parameters of genetic variation in crosses of malting varieties (covered awned), correspondence of the additive-dominant model, overdominance and dominance in loci, as well as unidirectional dominance to increasing of the trait caused by dominant effects were revealed. When crossing cultivars of different varieties, a change in gene action in different years was found. In particular, additive-dominant system changed to complementary epistasis, incomplete dominance to overdominance, unidirectional dominance to increa­sing of the trait to multidirectional dominance. The genetic sources of increased general combining ability were identified, as follows: covered awned malting cultivars ‘Quench’ and ‘Avgur’, the naked awned cultivar ‘CDC Rattan’, as well as the covered awnless cultivar ‘Kozyr’. Based on the constants of specific combining ability, the most promising crossing combinations for further breeding efforts were determined.Conclusions. The identified peculiarities of the inheritance of kernel number per spike make it possible to optimally combine parental components of crossings and carry out directional selection to increase the trait when developing spring barley cultivars for different use and different botanical varieties. | Мета. Виявити особливості успадкування кількості зерен у колосі, схрещуючи різні за походженням, напрямами використання і різновидностями сорти ячменю ярого, та виокремити ефективні генетичні джерела для поліпшення цієї ознаки.Методи. Дослідження проводили в Миронівському інституті пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН у 2019 і 2020 рр. В F1 ячменю ярого двох діалельних схем схрещування за кількістю зерен у колосі визначили ступінь фенотипового домінування, параметри генетичної варіації та комбінаційну здатність.Результати. За показником ступеня фенотипового домінування виявлено всі можливі типи успадкування кількості зерен у колосі. У низки комбінацій схрещування встановлено зміну типу успадкування залежно від умов року. Найбільшу кількість комбінацій із наддомінуванням в обох роках відмічено у комбінаціях з плівчастим остистим сортом ‘Авгур’ та безостим сортом ‘Козир’. За параметрами генетичної варіації у схрещуваннях пивоварних сортів (плівчастих остистих) виявлено відповідність адитивно-домінантній моделі, наддомінування і домінування у локусах, а також односпрямованість домінування на збільшення ознаки, зумовлене домінантними ефектами. У схрещуваннях сортів різних ботанічних різновидностей виявлено зміну дії генів у різні роки. А саме: адитивно-домінантної системи – комплементарним епістазом, неповного домінування – наддомінуванням, односпрямованості домінування на збільшення ознаки – різноспрямованістю. Виділено генетичні джерела підвищеної загальної комбінаційної здатності, зокрема плівчасті остисті сорти пивоварного напряму ‘Quench’ і ‘Авгур’, голозерний та безостий сорти ‘CDC Rattan’ і ‘Козир’ відповідно. На основі констант специфічної комбінаційної здатності визначено найбільш перспективні комбінації для подальшої селекційної роботи.Висновки. Виявлені особливості успадкування кількості зерен у колосі дають змогу оптимально комбінувати батьківські компоненти схрещувань і здійснювати цілеспрямований добір на збільшення ознаки у процесі створення ботанічних різновидностей сортів ячменю ярого різних напрямів використання.

The paper summarizes the experimental data from field and laboratory experiments on the study of the collection material of hull-less barley from ICARDA (Hordeum vulgare L.) on saline soils of the Kyzylorda region. The influence of the type of ripening of the variety and weather conditions of vegetation on the formation and variability of the grain yield of spring hull-less barley is shown. Traits less affected by external factors, such as plant height, spike length, number of spikelets per spike, and number of productive spikes per 1 m2, are determined. It has been established that during the selection, stabilization on such traits occurs in early generations, which increases the efficiency of selection of adaptive varieties. At the present stage, using in hybridization the best hull-less forms ICNBF8-611/Aths, DeirAlla106/Strain205//Rhn-03/3/BF891M-582, Atahualpa/4/Avt/Attiki//Aths/3/Giza121/Pue, Atahualpa/4/Harrington/3/WI2291/Roho//WI2269, and HIGO/LINO with local recognized varieties, 20 hybrid populations have been obtained, and 150 lines selected from them, identified that donors of valuable traits are of particular interest for creating productive cereal varieties.

Purpose. To reveal the breeding and genetic peculiarities for spring barley 1000 kernel weight and to identify genetic sources for breeding under conditions of the central part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. Investigations were carried out at the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of the NAAS of Ukraine. Spring barley F1 of two comp­lete (6 ´ 6) diallel crossing schemes was investigated. The first scheme included modern both domestic and foreign spring barley malting varieties (‘MIP Tytul’, ‘Avhur’, ‘Datcha’, ‘Quench’, ‘Gladys’, ‘Beatrix’), the second – classic covered awned (‘MIP Myroslav’, ‘Sebastian’), awnless (‘Kozyr’, ‘Vitrazh’) and naked (‘Condor’, ‘CDC Rattan’) varieties. Results. Various types of inheritance of 1000 kernel weight were revealed, with the exception of negative dominance. The proportion of combinations with corresponding values ​​of the degree of phenotypic dominance varied depending on the genotypes involved in the crossing and the years of testing. In both crossing schemes, both in 2019 and in 2020, positive overdominance was found in most combinations. The grea­test number of combinations with the manifestation of hete­rosis under different growing conditions was noted when varieties ‘Gladys’ and ‘MIP Myroslav’ were used in crossing. According to the parameters of genetic variation, it was revealed that the trait was determined mainly by the additive-dominant system. The dominance was aimed at increasing the 1000 kernel weight. Only in the second crossing scheme in 2019 the value of the directional dominance indicator was unreliable. In the loci, incomplete dominance in 2019 and over-dominance in 2020 were revealed. Reliably high effects of the general combining ability in both years were noted for varieties ‘Datcha’, ‘Gladys’, ‘MIP Myroslav’, ‘Kozyr’ and ‘Vitrazh’. Conclusions. The revealed breeding and genetic peculiarities indicate that for the overwhelming majority of created hybrid combinations will be required the final selection in later generations, when the dominant alleles are homozygous. В обох схемах схрещування як у 2019-му, так і у 2020 р. в більшості комбінацій виявлено позитивне наддомінування. Найбільшу кількість комбінацій із проявом гетерозису за різних умов вирощування відзначено в разі залучення до схрещувань сортів ‘Gladys’ і ‘МІП Мирослав’. За параметрами генетичної варіації виявлено, що ознака визначалась переважно адитивно-домінантною системою. Домінування було спрямованим на збільшення маси 1000 зерен. Лише у другій схемі схрещувань у 2019 р. значення показника спрямованості домінування було недостовірним. У локусах виявлено неповне домінування у 2019-му та наддомінування у 2020 р. Достовірно високі ефекти загальної комбінаційної здатності в обидва роки відзначено для сортів ‘Datcha’, ‘Gladys’, ‘МІП Мирослав’, ‘Козир’ і ‘Вітраж’. Висновки. Five two-row winter barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivars divergent in spike traits were crossed in all possible combinations excluding reciprocals to produce 10 F1 and F2 hybrids for analysis of combining abilities. The analysis of variance of combining abilities showed significant differences for GCA and SCA in F1 hybrids and F2 generation, suggesting additive and non-additive gene action. The GCA/SCA ratio in F1 and F2 indicated the prevalence of the additive component of genetic variance for spike length, grain weight per spike and spike harvest index. By contrast, the SCA variance for grain weight per spike was higher than the GCA variance, indicating the dominance of non-additive gene action. Good GCAs were found in parents having high values for spike length (Djerdap, NS-293), grain number per spike (Vada, Jagodinac), grain weight per spike (Vada, NS-293) and spike harvest index (Djerdap, Jagodinac). None of the parents had good GCA for all traits, suggesting a potential increase in combining abilities for spike traits. The best SCA were obtained mostly from crosses between parents having high x low, high x high or average x low GCA values. Parents having high GCA values may be used to produce improved lines in hybridisation programmes. Combinations with high SCA values may yield good segregating lines in further selection programmes.

Hybrid breeding in barley ( L.) offers great opportunities to accelerate the rate of genetic improvement and to boost yield stability. A crucial requirement consists of the efficient selection of superior hybrid combinations. We used comprehensive phenotypic and genomic data from a commercial breeding program with the goal of examining the potential to predict the hybrid performances. The phenotypic data were comprised of replicated grain yield trials for 385 two-way and 408 three-way hybrids evaluated in up to 47 environments. The parental lines were genotyped using a 3k single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array based on an Illumina Infinium assay. We implemented ridge regression best linear unbiased prediction modeling for additive and dominance effects and evaluated the prediction ability using five-fold cross validations. The prediction ability of hybrid performances based on general combining ability (GCA) effects was moderate, amounting to 0.56 and 0.48 for two- and three-way hybrids, respectively. The potential of GCA-based hybrid prediction requires that both parental components have been evaluated in a hybrid background. This is not necessary for genomic prediction for which we also observed moderate cross-validated prediction abilities of 0.51 and 0.58 for two- and three-way hybrids, respectively. This exemplifies the potential of genomic prediction in hybrid barley. Interestingly, prediction ability using the two-way hybrids as training population and the three-way hybrids as test population or vice versa was low, presumably, because of the different genetic makeup of the parental source populations. Consequently, further research is needed to optimize genomic prediction approaches combining different source populations in barley.

An experimental trial was carried out during two successive crop years, (2015/2016 and 2016/2017). The study focused on an F1 generation of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), composed of twenty hybrids, from a complete diallel cross between autochthones and introduced cultivars.The aim is to bring together in one combination the maximum of favorable genes existing in local and introduced genotypes. The evaluation of the genetic determinism of parental lines and their descendants, through the measurement of six quantitative variables, is ensured thanks to a detailed genetic analysis according to the model of Griffing (1956) and confirmed by the graphic model of Hayman (1954).The results obtained reveal the existence of a great genetic variability between the hybrids and between their parents; additive and non-additive genetic effects are involved in the control of the variables evaluated. The variance ratio of general combining ability (GCA) and the specific combining ability (SCA) is less than one unit which explains the preponderance of the dominant genes, with a super dominance involved in the expression of the length of the spike, the number of grains per spike and the productivity per plant; on the other hand, complete and partial dominance respectively control the expression of the height of the plants and the weight of one thousand grains.

Визначити вплив умов зволоження та обробки насіння біологічними препаратами Азотофіт-р, Фітоцид, Мікофренд-р, Органік-баланс Монофосфор на ростові процеси на початкових етапах життя рослин, формування густоти стояння та урожайність зерна сортів пшениці озимої. Методи. Для досліджень використовували загально­наукові, спеціальні, польові, математично-ста­тистичні та розрахунково-порівняльні методи. Результати. Запорукою високої врожайності пшениці озимої є одержання дружних сходів, формування оптимальної густоти стояння рослин на час збирання з урахуванням показників їх виживаності, коефіцієнту продуктивної кущистості та вивчення нових сортів, адаптованих до змін клімату. За результатами досліджень визначено, що в середньому за 2020–2022 рр. більшу урожайність зерна серед досліджуваних сортів пшениці озимої сформовано у рослин сорту ‘Дума одеська’ (8,38 т/га) на зрошенні у варіанті з передпосівною обробкою насіння біопрепаратом Азотофіт-р, що на 0,78 т/га більше, порівнюючи з контролем (обробка водою). У варіанті без зрошення урожайність становила 6,08 т/га, що менше за контроль на 2,3 т/га або 27,4%. Висновки. Розроблені елементи технології вирощування сортів пшениці озимої дають можливість сформувати оптимальну густоту стояння рослин та значно підвищити урожайність зерна в умовах Південного Степу України.

The key to a high yield of winter wheat is in obtaining even stands, forming the optimal density of plant stands at the time of harvesting, taking into account their survival rates, the coefficient of productive tillering, and the study of new varieties adapted to climate changes. According to the research results, it was determined that, on average, for 2020–2022, the highest grain yield among the studied varieties of winter wheat was recorded in plants of the variety ‘Duma Odeska’ (8.38 t/ha) under irrigation in the variant with pre-sowing treatment of seeds with the biopreparation Azotofit-r, which was 0.78 t/ha more compared to the control (treatment with water). In the variant without irrigation, the yield was 6.08 t/ha, which was less than the control by 2.3 t/ha or 27.4%. Conclusions. За результатами досліджень визначено, що в середньому за 2020–2022 рр. більшу урожайність зерна серед досліджуваних сортів пшениці озимої сформовано у рослин сорту ‘Дума одеська’ (8,38 т/га) на зрошенні у варіанті з передпосівною обробкою насіння біопрепаратом Азотофіт-р, що на 0,78 т/га більше, порівнюючи з контролем (обробка водою). У варіанті без зрошення урожайність становила 6,08 т/га, що менше за контроль на 2,3 т/га або 27,4%. Висновки. Розроблені елементи технології вирощування сортів пшениці озимої дають можливість сформувати оптимальну густоту стояння рослин та значно підвищити урожайність зерна в умовах Південного Степу України.

Мета. Оцінити сорти ‘МІП Ассоль’, ‘Балада Миронівська’, ‘Грація Миронівська’, ‘МІП Ювілейна’, ‘МІП Лада’, ‘МІП Дніпрянка’ та сорт-стандарт ‘Подолянка’ і перспективні селекційні лінії ‘Еритроспермум 55023’, ‘Лютесценс 22198’, ‘Лютесценс 37519’, ‘Лютесценс 60049’ і ‘Лютесценс 60107’ пшениці озимої миронівської селекції за показниками якості зерна. Методи. Дослідження проводили впродовж 2019–2021 рр. у селекційній сівозміні лабораторії селекції озимої пшениці Миронівського інституту пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН України. Основні методи досліджень – лабораторний, польовий та аналітичний, доповнені вимірами, підрахунками і спостереженнями. Результати. За вмістом білка протягом першого строку сівби кращими були такі селекційні лінії: ‘Еритроспермум 55023’ (11,9%), ‘Лютесценс 55198’ (12,8%), ‘Лютесценс 37519’ (11,7%) та ‘Лютесценс 60107’ (10,7%). Упродовж другого строку сівби кращими сортами та селекційними лініями виявились: ‘Грація МИР’ (11,4%), ‘МІП Дніпрянка’ (12,3%), ‘Еритроспермум 55023’ (12,3%), ‘Лютесценс 55198’ (11,4%), ‘Лютесценс 37519’ (12,3%) та ‘Лютесценс 60049’ (12,8%). За показником склоподібності зерна протягом першого строку сівби можна виділити: ‘Балада МИР’ (86,7%), ‘МІП Лада’ (89,3%), ‘МІП Дніпрянка’ (87,3%), ‘Еритроспермум 55023’ (86,3%), ‘Лютесценс 55198’ (94,3%) та ‘Лютесценс 37519’ (91,0%). Впродовж другого строку сівби – ‘Балада МИР’ (86,7%), ‘Грація МИР’ (79,3%), ‘МІП Лада’ (85,0%), ‘МІП Дніпрянка’ (81,7%) і селекційні лінії ‘Лютесценс 55198’ (80,7%) та ‘Лютесценс 60049’ (81,3%). За вмістом сирої клейковини виокремлено сорт ‘Грація МИР’ (26,2%). У всіх досліджуваних селекційних ліній значення показника вмісту сирої клейковини варіювалося від 26,0 до 29,9%. Протягом другого строку сівби вищий відсоток вмісту сирої клейковини відмічено у сортів ‘Грація МИР’ (29,9%) та ‘МІП Дніпрянка’ (27,4%) і селекційних ліній ‘Еритроспермум 55023’ (28,4%), ‘Лютесценс 55198’ (27,4%), ‘Лютесценс 37519’ (27,1%) і ‘Лютесценс 60049’ (29,1%). Висновки. Впродовж трьох років спостережень погодні умови відрізнялися за кількістю опадів та сумою активних температур як у період вегетації, так і в період цвітіння – достигання, що суттєво вплинуло на результати аналізу якісних показників зерна сортів та перспективних ліній пшениці озимої. Проаналізувавши отримані результати, можна виділити сорти ‘Грація МИР’ і ‘МІП Дніпрянка’, а також селекційні лінії ‘ЕР 55023’, ‘ЛЮТ 55198’, ‘ЛЮТ 37519’ і ‘ЛЮТ 60049’, що перевищували сорт-стандарт ‘Подолянка’ та середнє значення по досліду за такими основними показниками, як вміст білка та клейковини, склоподібність і маса 1000 насінин

Climate change has been affecting agriculture activities, particularly, in the Andean Region, given its high level of exposure, sensitivity and low adaptive capacity. The adaptive response of Andean agriculture to a variation in water availability due to climate change was evaluated. For this, a hydro-economic model was developed that integrates two modules: hydrological modeling based on SWAT and an economic optimization model based on PMP. There is a high agricultural vulnerability to climate change, situation that could be reversed through the application of an agricultural policy based on the efficient use of water. | El cambio climático viene afectando de manera diferenciada a la agricultura, en particular, en la zona andina, dada su alta exposición, sensibilidad y baja capacidad adaptativa. The development of agrifood systems in Latin America reflects contrasting policy goals. Most governments advocate that “modernization,” measured as increased rates of technology adoption, is the way to address persistent food insecurity. By contrast, peasants’ and indigenous people’s organizations and social movements propose advancing knowledge co-production and co-innovation to increase the resilience of agrifood systems. Colombia reformed the National Innovation System for Agriculture in 2017. The policy reform instructed transitioning from providing “technical advice” to rural extension services. The research aimed to fill the knowledge gap regarding the transition to rural extension along the guinea pig production chain.   In addition to characterizing the production chain, we conducted qualitative and reflectivity analyses to understand better how institutional practices and research cultures hinder or promote transitioning to rural extension. The investigation revealed that small-scale farmers who rely on the production and commercialization of guinea pigs as a livelihood strategy have continued receiving advice to adopt the latest technologies. In closing, besides addressing technological deficits or inefficiencies, a systemic approach that considers cultural context and identity must integrate into rural extension to ensure technological adoption is aligned with the sustainability and resilience objectives of the guinea pig production chain.

El cambio climático viene afectando de manera diferenciada a la agricultura, en particular, en la zona andina, dada su alta exposición, sensibilidad y baja capacidad adaptativa. Se evaluó la respuesta adaptativa de la agricultura andina frente a una variación de la disponibilidad hídrica debido al cambio climático en base al modelo hidro-económico que integra dos módulos: el modelamiento hidrológico en base al SWAT y un modelo económico de optimización en base al PMP. En Perú se producen más de 3500 variedades de papas, sin embargo, es poca la información disponible sobre las propiedades antioxidantes que poseen. El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar el efecto de los tratamientos térmicos de hervido y de fritura, y la digestión in vitro en el contenido de polifenoles totales, antocianinas y actividad antioxidante en cuatro variedades de papas nativas. Las papas nativas clon de pulpa rojo (C1), clon de pulpa azul (C2), variedad Elena 1198 (V4) y la variedad Kitipsho (V8) fueron obtenidas del centro poblado de Huallmish a 3500 m s.n.m. para la evaluación de principios activos, las muestras sometidas a cocción y fritura fueron licuadas y se realizaron extracciones con metanol y también se realizó la digestión in vitro. Los resultados en las papas nativas mostraron diferencias en peso, longitud y diámetro, además, tampoco se encontró la presencia de vitamina C. Los tratamientos térmicos mediante hervido, fritura y luego del proceso de digestión in vitro, indujeron variaciones en el contenido de componentes bioactivos (P < 0,05), donde las cuatro variedades de papa mostraron un incremento en su capacidad para inhibir el catión ABTS, lo que estaría relacionado con el tipo de antioxidante y el potencial de hidrógeno del medio al cual fue sometido durante la digestión in vitro. En conclusión, las muestras de papas nativas luego de los tratamientos de hervido, fritura y digestión in vitro incrementaron la actividad antioxidante para secuestrar el catión ABTS. | Papa-Solanum tuberosum

Climate change could potentially interrupt progress toward a world without hunger. A robust and coherent global pattern is discernible of the impacts of climate change on crop productivity that could have consequences for food availability. The stability of whole food systems may be at risk under climate change because of short-term variability in supply. However, the potential impact is less clear at regional scales, but it is likely that climate variability and change will exacerbate food insecurity in areas currently vulnerable to hunger and undernutrition. Likewise, it can be anticipated that food access and utilization will be affected indirectly via collateral effects on household and individual incomes, and food utilization could be impaired by loss of access to drinking water and damage to health. The evidence supports the need for considerable investment in adaptation and mitigation actions toward a “climate-smart food system” that is more resilient to climate change influences on food security.

Purpose. To evaluate the varieties: ‘MIP Assol’, ‘Balada Myronivska’, ‘Hratsiia Myronivska’, ‘MIP Yuvileina’, ‘MIP Lada’, ‘MIP Dniprianka’ and the standard variety ‘Podolianka’ and promising breeding lines: ‘Erythrospermum 55023’, ‘Lutescens 22198’, ‘Lutescens 37519’, ‘Lutescens 60049’, ‘Lutescens 60107’ winter wheat of the Mironovka`s breeding according to grain quality indicators.Methods. The research was conducted during the 2019–2021 in the breeding crop rotation of the winter wheat breeding laboratory of the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat, NAАS of Ukraine. The main method of research was laboratory and field, supplemented by analytical studies, measurements, calculations and observations.Results. The following breeding lines were the best in terms of protein content during the first sowing period: ‘Erythrospermum 55023’ (11.9%), ‘Lutescens 55198’ (12.8%), ‘Lutescens 37519’ (11.7%) and ‘Lutescens 60107’ (10.7%). During the second sowing period, the best varieties and breeding lines turned out to be ‘Hratsiia Myronivska’ (11.4%), ‘MIP Dniprianka’ (12.3%), ‘Erythrospermum 55023’ (12.3 %), ‘Lutescens 55198’ (11.4%), ‘Lutescens 37519’ (12.3%) and ‘Lutescens 60049’ (12.8%). According to the grain vitrification index during the first sowing period, the following can be distinguished: ‘Balada Myronivska’ (86.7%), ‘MIP Lada’ (89.3%), ‘MIP Dniprianka’ (87.3%), ‘Erythrospermum 55023’ (86.3 %), ‘Lutescens 55198’ (94.3 %) and ‘Lutescens 37519’ (91.0 %). During the second sowing period, these were ‘Balada Myronivska’ (86.7%), ‘Hratsiia Myronivska’ (79.3%), ‘MIP Lada’ (85.0%), ‘MIP Dniprianka’ (81.7%) and breeding lines ‘Lutescens 55198’ (80.7%) and ‘Lutescens 60049’ (81.3%). According to the content of raw gluten, the variety ‘Hratsiia Myronivska’ (26.2%) was selected. For all studied breeding lines, the value of the crude gluten content indicator varied from 26.0% to 29.9%. Du­ring the second sowing period, a higher percentage of raw gluten content was noted in the varieties ‘Hratsiia Myronivska’ (29.9%) and ‘MIP Dniprianka’ (27.4%) and selection lines – ‘Erythrospermum 55023’ (28.4%), ‘Lutescens 55198’ (27.4%), ‘Lutescens 37519’ (27.1%) and ‘Lutescens 60049’ (29.1%).Conclusions. During the three years of observations, the weather conditions differed in the amount of precipitation and the sum of active temperatures both during the growing season and during the period of flowering and maturation, which significantly affected the results of the analysis of grain quality indicators of winter wheat varieties and promising lines. Having analyzed the obtained results, it is possible to single out the varieties ‘Hratsiia Myronivska’ and ‘MIP Dniprianka’, as well as the breeding lines: ‘Erythrospermum 55023’, ‘Lutescens 55198’, ‘Lutescens 37519’ and ‘Lutescens 60049’, which exceeded the standard variety ‘Podolianka’ and the average experimental values for such basic indicators as protein content, gluten content, vitreousness and 1000-seed weight. | Мета. На основі багаторічних досліджень за комплексом господарсько-цінних ознак виокремити як вихідний матеріал для селекції за продуктивністю найліпші сорти проса прутоподібного (Panicum virgatum L.). До них належать сорти: ‘Pathfinder’, ‘Carthage’, ‘Blackwell’, ‘Морозко’, ‘Лядовське’ і ‘Зоряне’. Методи. Дослідження проводили протягом 2017–2021 рр. на базі Полтавського державного аграрного університету. Ґрунти дослідної ділянки колекції «Енергетичні культури» – чорноземи типові, з умістом гумусу на рівні 3,4%. Ділянки закладали з рендомізованим розміщенням варіантів в чотирикратній повторності згідно з методиками дослідної справи в агрономії. Також застосовували затверджені науково-практичні й методичні рекомендації до вирощування енергетичних культур. Для підтвердження істотної відмінності між досліджуваними сортами застосовували дисперсійний аналіз з використанням програм Excel та Statistica. Результати. Проведено групування сортів проса прутоподібного за тривалістю вегетаційного періоду на: ранньо- (до 160 діб), середньо- (161–171 доба) та пізньостиглі (понад 170 діб). Установлено комплексну стійкість сортів проса прутоподібного до посухи, морозів та вилягання рослин: ‘Cave-in-Rock’, ‘Зоряне’, ‘Морозко’ та ‘Лядовське’. Визначено, що господарсько-цінні ознаки більшою мірою залежать від сортових особливостей, аніж від умов вирощування. Урожайність наземної вегетативної маси за сухим залишком для досліджуваних сортів варіювала від 12,1 до 15,6 т/га. Висновки. Найпристосованішими до умов вирощування виявилися сорти проса прутоподібного ‘Cave-in-Rock’, ‘Зоряне’, ‘Морозко’ й ‘Лядовське’. Найбільша висота стеблостою відмічена для сортів: ‘Kanlow’ та ‘Cave-in-Rock’, найнижчими виявилися рослини сорту ‘Dacotah’. Значну кількість стебел та високу врожайність біомаси здатні забезпечити сорти проса прутоподібного ‘Pathfinder’, ‘Blackwell’, ‘Shelter’, ‘Carthage’ і ‘Зоряне’. Останні, разом з українським сор­том ‘Зоряне’, рекомендовано використовувати як вихідний матеріал для селекції культури за продуктивністю біомаси.

Purpose. On the basis of multi-year research on the complex of economically valuable characteristics, the best switchgrass varieties (Panicum virgatum L.) ‘Patfinder’, ‘Carthage’, ‘Blackwell’, ‘Morozko’, ‘Liadovske’ and ‘Zoriane’ were singled out as a source material for breeding for productivity. Methods. The research was conducted during 2017–2021 on the basis of the Poltava State Agrarian University. The soils of the experimental site of the “Energy Crops” collection are typical chernozems with a humus content of 3.4%. Plots were planted with randomized placement of options in four-fold repetition according to the methods of experimental work in agronomy. Also, approved scientific-practical and methodical recommendations for growing energy crops were applied. To confirm the significant difference between the studied varieties, dispersion analysis using Excel and Statistica programs was used. Results. Switchgrass varieties were grouped according to the duration of the growing season into: early- (up to 160 days), medium- (161–171 days) and late ripening (more than 170 days). The complex resistance of switchgrass varieties to drought, frost and plant lodging: ‘Cave-in-Rock’, ‘Zoriane’, ‘Morozko’ and ‘Liadovske’ was revealed. It was determined that economically valuable characteristics depend to a greater extent on varietal characteristics than on growing conditions. The yield of ground vegetative mass based on dry residue for the studied varie­ties varied from 12.1 to 15.6 t/ha. Сonclusions. The varieties ‘Cave-in-Rock’, ‘Zoriane’, ‘Morozko’, ‘Liadovske’ were the most adaptable to growing conditions. The switchgrass varieties ‘Kanlow’ and ‘Cave-in-rock’ provided the highest plant stand and switchgrass variety ‘Dacotah’ provided the lowest plant stand. Varieties ‘Pathfinder’, ‘Blackwell’, ‘Shelter’, ‘Carthage’ and ‘Zoriane’ were singled out according to the number of stems and productivity. The latter, together with the Ukrainian variety ‘Zoriane’, are recommended to be used as starting material for crop selection based on biomass productivity. | Мета. Установлено комплексну стійкість сортів проса прутоподібного до посухи, морозів та вилягання рослин: ‘Cave-in-Rock’, ‘Зоряне’, ‘Морозко’ та ‘Лядовське’. Визначено, що господарсько-цінні ознаки більшою мірою залежать від сортових особливостей, аніж від умов вирощування. Урожайність наземної вегетативної маси за сухим залишком для досліджуваних сортів варіювала від 12,1 до 15,6 т/га. Висновки. Найпристосованішими до умов вирощування виявилися сорти проса прутоподібного ‘Cave-in-Rock’, ‘Зоряне’, ‘Морозко’ й ‘Лядовське’. Найбільша висота стеблостою відмічена для сортів: ‘Kanlow’ та ‘Cave-in-Rock’, найнижчими виявилися рослини сорту ‘Dacotah’. Значну кількість стебел та високу врожайність біомаси здатні забезпечити сорти проса прутоподібного ‘Pathfinder’, ‘Blackwell’, ‘Shelter’, ‘Carthage’ і ‘Зоряне’. Останні, разом з українським сор­том ‘Зоряне’, рекомендовано використовувати як вихідний матеріал для селекції культури за продуктивністю біомаси.

Мета. Визначення генетичних ефектів ПЖТ 1AL.1RS і 1ВL.1RS на врожайність, елементи продуктивності рослин та показники якості рекомбінантних ліній, установлення ефективності використання кожної з ПЖТ для створення досконаліших за цими ознаками сортів пшениці м’якої озимої в умовах ґрунтово-повітряних посух у степовій зоні України та розроблення селекційних заходівів зменшення негативних ефектів транслокацій для отримання генотипів з високими показниками якості зерна цінної і сильної пшениці. Методи. Польові експерименти, внутрішньовидова гібридизація, оцінювання селекційного матеріалу в польових умовах, методи лабораторного визначення показників хлібопекарських якостей зерна, електрофорез запасних білків, статистичні. Результати. У посушливих умовах Півдня України на великому експериментальному матеріалі селекційного процесу виявлено позитивний вплив ПЖТ 1AL.1RS на врожайність рекомбінантних ліній та основні елементи продуктивності рослин, що проявляється на фоні одночасного позитивного ефекту цієї транслокації на посухо- й жаростійкість. Використання в селекції пшениці ПЖТ 1ВL.1RS у цьому регіоні є менш перспективним заходом. Установлено, що введення шляхом гібридизації в місцевий генофонд пшениці м’якої озимої пшенично-житніх транслокацій 1АL.1RS та 1ВL.1RS змінює показники якості зерна. Зокрема, вміст білка, зазвичай, має тенденцію до підвищення, при цьому він суттєвіше зростає завдяки транслокації 1ВL.1RS. Показано, що частота отримання рекомбінантних ліній, які поєднують високу врожайність та мають добрі хлібопекарські властивості не нижче цінних і сильних пшениць, досить низька (1,7–6,1%). Однак, переваги за цим показником мають інтрогресивні лінії з ПЖТ 1АL.1RS. Використовуючи комбінування в процесі гібридизації ПЖТ з алелями з високим позитивним впливом на хлібопекарські властивості, а також створюючи гетерогенність у складі генотипів з ПЖТ і без них, можна спрямовано зменшувати негативний вплив ПЖТ на якість зерна пшениці м’якої озимої і створювати сорти з параметрами якості цінних і сильних пшениць. Висновки. Отримані результати дають підстави стверджувати, що використання ПЖТ 1AL.1RS є перспективним напрямом подальшого селекційного нарощування генетичного потенціалу врожайності сортів пшениці м’якої озимої в посушливих умовах Півдня України. У результаті повного циклу селекційного процесу на матеріалі з ПЖТ 1АL.1RS, створена серія сортів пшениці м’якої озимої – ‘Житниця одеська’, ‘Октава одеська’, ‘Ліга одеська’, ‘Дума одеська’, ‘Версія одеська’, які забезпечують підвищення врожайності на 10–15% порівняно зі стандартами та занесені до Державних реєстрів сортів рослин України та Молдови.
