The article highlights techniques for development of the range of varieties of new species of cutting lettuce Lactuca sativa: var. longifolia. It reflects the role of minor sub-species of romaine lettuce. Scientific rationale is given to peculiarities of key methods in the technology for growing marketable products of romaine lettuce in the open air. The method for identification adapted – morphological description of qualitative, quantitative and pseudo-qualitative characteristics of phenotype for cutting lettuce, as well as typical model of morpho-biological and economical parameters of new varieties of Romen lettuce for the purposes of official listing of varieties and rights herewith. | Раскрыто пути формирования ассортимента сортов новых разновидностей салата посевного (Lactuca sativa: var. longifolia L.). Отражено значение малораспространенной разновидности салата римского. Научно обосновано особенности основных приемов технологии выращивания товарной продукции салата ромэн в открытом пространстве. Адаптировано метод идентификации морфологического описания качественных, количественных и псевдокачественных признаков фенотипа салата посевного и приведена типичная модель морфобиологических и хозяйственно- полезных признаков новых сортов салата ромэн для целей государственной регистрации сортов и прав на них. | Розкрито шляхи формування сортименту салату посівного новими сортами малопоширених різновидностей, такими як ромен. Висвітлено значення різновидності салату посівного var. longifolia L., науково обґрунтовано особливості основних технологічних прийомів вирощування товарної продукції салату ромен в умовах відкритого ґрунту. Адаптовано метод ідентифікації морфологічного опису якісних, кількісних і псевдоякісних ознак фенотипу салату посівного та наведено типову модель сорту салату ромен для визначення господарсько-цінних характеристик під час державної реєстрації майнових прав на сорт.

Определено комбинационную способность тетраплоидных опылителей белоцерковской селекции по урожайности и сахаристости и генетической детерминации элементов продуктивности и их фенотипическое проявление у гибридов первого поколения сахарной свеклы. В исследовании применены методы тестерного скрещивания по типу топкросс пыльцестерильных линий уладовского и ивановского происхождения и стабилизированных по плоидности тетраплоидных опылителей сахарной свеклы белоцерковской селекции. Установлено, что в генотипической структуре изменчивости признака «урожайность» ключевая роль принадлежала неадитивным эффектам генов. В генетическом контроле сахаристости топкроссных гибридов преобладающей была доля адитивного действия генов опылителей. Дифференцированы по комбинационной способности родительские компоненты 16 гибридных комбинаций. Ценными комплексами аддитивных генов обладали опылители 1007 (по урожайности) и 1013 (по сахаристости).  Выявлены перспективные гибридные комбинации для дальнейшей их селекционной проработки, определена генетическая детерминация элементов продуктивности и сбора сахара. Анализ генных взаимодействий у гибридов свеклы сахарной подтверждает теорию генетического баланса Н.В. Турбина. | Оцінка генетичної цінності компонентів – важлива ланка селекційного процесу створення ЧС-гібридів буряку цукрового. Визначали комбінаційну здатність тетраплоїдних запилювачів білоцерківської селекції за урожайністю, цукристістю та генетичною детермінацією елементів продуктивності і їхній фенотипічний прояв у гібридів першого покоління буряку цукрового. У дослідженнях застосовували методи тестерного схрещування за типом топкрос пилкостерильних ліній уладівського й іванівського походжень та стабілізованих за плоїдністю тетраплоїдних запилювачів буряку цукрового білоцерківської селекції. Встановлено, що у генотипній структурі мінливості врожайності ключова роль належала неадитивним ефектам генів. У генетичному контролі цукристості топкросних гібридів переважаючою була частка адитивної дії генів запилювачів. Диференційовано за комбінаційною здатністю батьківські компоненти 16 гібридних комбінацій. Цінними комплексами адитивних генів характеризувалися запилювачі 1007 (за врожайністю) та 1013 (за цукристістю). Виявлено перспективні гібридні комбінації для їхнього подальшого селекційного опрацювання, визначена генетична детермінація елементів продуктивності та збору цукру. Аналіз генних взаємодій у гібридів буряку цукрового підтверджує теорію генетичного балансу М.В. Турбіна.

The article highlights summary of initial material introduction and of generation of sterile form of sugar sorghum, its ground germination capacity and viability of the seed in various fractions. This has scrutinized impact of various chemical reagents and expositions the yield of sterile and viable explants. | Показаны результаты введения исходного материала и получения стерильной культуры сорго сахарного, его полевую всхожесть и жизнеспособность семян различных сортов и фракций. Установлено, что всходы сорго сахарного на участках с посевом крупной фракции семян появляются раньше по сравнению с семенами мелких фракций. Наиболее существенная разница во времени появления всходов наблюдается между крупными и мелкими семенами в то время, как между средними и большими различие в появлении всходов менее контрастное. Стойкую жизнеспособность имеют растения, выращенные из крупных и средних фракций семян. Исследовано влияние различных химических реагентов и экспозиций на выход стерильных и жизнеспособных эксплантов. Самый высокий процент стерильных и жизнеспособных семян сорго было получено при использовании раствора 35% белизны при экспозиции 35–40 минут, что обеспечило 100% стерильных и 93,0% жизнеспособных эксплантов. Также высокий процент стерильных и жизнеспособных междоузлий сорго получено при экспозиции 35–40 минут и 0,2% раствора сулемы. | Наведено результати введення вихідного матеріалу та отримання стерильної культури сорго цукрового, його польову схожість та життєздатність насіння різних сортів та фракцій. Встановлено, що сходи сорго цукрового на ділянках із висівом крупної фракції насіння з’являються раніше порівняно з дрібним насінням. Найістотніша різниця в часі появи сходів спостерігається між великим і дрібним насінням, в той час як між середнім та великим відмінність у появі сходів менш контрастна. Стійку життєздатність мають рослини, вирощені з великих та середніх фракцій насіння. Досліджено вплив різних хімічних реагентів і експозицій на вихід стерильних і життєздатних експлантів. Найвищий відсоток стерильного та життєздатного насіння сорго було за використання розчину 35% білизни за експозиції 35–40 хвилин, що забезпечило стерильних – 100% та життєздатних – 93,0% експлантів. Найвищий відсоток стерильних і життєздатних міжвузлів сорго отримано за експозиції 35–40 хвилин та 0,2% розчину сулеми.

This has scrutinized impact of various chemical reagents and expositions the yield of sterile and viable explants.

The article deals with performed investigation results of collection samples onions susceptibility of different eco- geographical origin to false mildew agent Peronospora destructor Berk. It is proved that the studied onion varieties and hybrids of first and second year of life are affected by false mildew annually, but with varying degrees of the disease development, depending on the infectious load, humidity and air temperature. Being carried on, investigations have shown that the disease spreading during three years in seed- plot of first year onions at the end of the vegetation season , according to the sample made 12,7–79,0 and its development – 8,0–61,7 %. False mildew has been spreading within 32,7–95,7 % and its development on natural provocative background made 25,7–88,3 % in mature growth phase of the seeds. Among the large number of studied samples, immune stable to the disease have not been identified. Chosen forms, having a relative field resistance to disease will be used in breeding programs for creating new varieties and hybrids. | Приведены результаты исследований восприимчивости коллекционных образцов лука репчатого разного эколого-географического происхождения к возбудителю пероноспороза Peronospora destructor Berk. Установлено, что образцы лука репчатого первого и второго года поражаются пероноспорозом ежегодно, но с разной степенью развития болезни, в зависимости от инфекционной нагрузки, влажности и температуры воздуха. Проведенные исследования показали, что в среднем, за три года, в коллекционном рассаднике лука первого года распространение болезни в конце вегетации составляло 12,7–79,0, а ее развитие – 8,0–61,7%, в зависимости от образца. На семенниках в фазу завязывания семян пероноспороз распространялся в пределах 32,7, а его развитие на естественно-провокационном фоне составило 25,7–8,3%. Среди большого количества изученных сортов и гибридов, иммунных к болезни не обнаружено. Выделены формы, которым свойственна относительная полевая устойчивость к болезни, и которые будут использованы в селекционных программах при создании новых сортов и гибридов. | Наведено результати досліджень сприйнятливості колекційних зразків цибулі ріпчастої різного еколого-географічного походження до збудника пероноспорозу (Peronospora destructor Berk). Встановлено, що сорти та гібриди цибулі ріпчастої першого та другого року життя уражуються пероноспорозом. The example of various varieties and hybrids of sugar sorghum illustrates the summary of study on assessing varying density of plants in crops on phonological cha­racteristics of sugar sorghum plants, carbohydrate composition of sorghum juice and yield of its plants. The completed study established that one hectare of sugar sorghum, subject to varietal characteristics and varying density of plants in crop, may provide the green weight of 40.83 до 106.87 t/ha at stem juice yield of 22,27 to 56,24 t/ha, which would contain 2.31 to 6.09 t/ha of total sugars suitable for bioethanol production in at the rate of 198.25 to 501.19 dal/ha. However, despite of higher estimate of total sugars yield and bioethanol at 300 thousand plants per ha density in crop, industrial plots would preferably have plant density in crops ranging within 200...250 thousand pieces per ha. Since higher density increases dry matter content of plants, consequentially, cellulose and lignin in stems, this may create preconditions for harvest losses due to stem lod­ ging Besides, 200 thousand plants per hectare enables to reach the highest level of photosynthesis net productivity which combines high intensity of the photosynthesis with photosynthetic activity of leaf surface. | В статье на примере различных сортов и гибридов сорго сахарного приведены результаты исследований по изучению влияния различной густоты стояния растений на фенологические показатели растений сорго сахарного, углеводный состав сока сорго и на продуктивность растений. В результате проведенных исследований установлено, что с одного гектара сорго сахарного в зависимости от сортовых особенностей и различной густоты стояния растений можно гарантированно получить зеленой массы от 40,83 до 106,87 т/га. Выход сока из стеблей от 22,27 до 56,24 т/га, в котором содержится от 2,31 до 6,09 т/га общих сахаров, пригодных для получения биоэтанола в количестве 198,25–501,19 дал/га. Однако, несмотря на высокий расчетный выход общих сахаров и биоэтанола при густоте 300 тыс. растений на 1 га, целесообразно в промышленных посевах отдавать предпочтение густоте стояния растений в пределах 200–250 тыс. шт./га. Поскольку увеличение густоты приводит к повышению содержания сухого вещества в растениях соответственно и содержания целлюлозы и лигнина в стеблях, что может привести к потерям урожая за счет склонности стеблей к полеганию. Кроме того, при густоте 200 тыс. растений на гектаре достигается высокий показатель чистой продуктивности фотосинтеза, при котором высокая интенсивность процесса фотосинтеза оптимально сочетается с фотосинтетической активностью листовой поверхности. | На прикладі різних сортів та гібридів сорго цукрового, наведено результати досліджень із вивчення впливу різної густоти стояння рослин на фенологічні показники рослин сорго цукрового, вуглеводний склад соку сорго та на продуктивність рослин. У результаті проведених досліджень установлено, що з одного гектара сорго цукрового, залежно від сортових особливостей і різної густоти стояння рослин, можливо гарантовано отримати зеленої маси від 40,83 до 106,87 т/га, з виходом соку зі стебел від 22,27 до 56,24 т/га, в якому міститься від 2,31 до 6,09 т/га загальних цукрів, придатних для отримання біоетанолу у кількості 198,25–501,19 дал/га. Однак, незважаючи на найвищий розрахунковий вихід загальних цукрів та біоетанолу за густоти 300 тис. рослин на 1 гектар, доцільно в промислових посівах надавати перевагу густоті стояння рослин у межах 200...250 тис. шт./га. Оскільки вища густота призводить до підвищення вмісту сухої речовини у рослинах, відповідно й умісту целюлози та лігніну у стеблах, що може спричинити умови до втрат урожаю за рахунок схильності стебел до полягання. Крім того, за густоти 200 тисяч рослин на гектарі досягається найвищий показник чистої продуктивності фотосинтезу, при якому висока інтенсивність процесу фотосинтезу оптимально поєднується з фотосинтетичною активністю листкової поверхні.

In the article the authors show outcome of three years observation of blackcurrant varieties bred by Study Horticulture Department NULES of Ukraine for their suitabi­ lity to machine harvesting. Blackcurrant is the most common berry crop in Ukraine. When establishing intensive industrial plantations the varieties suitable for machine harvesting should be used. During 2006-2008 limited and unlimited traits of varieties bred by NULES of Ukraine suitability to combine harvesting were studied. All parameters of the examined varieties were compared against the requirements of the «ideal variety”. Simultaneous ripening of berries was observed in varieties Dochka Vorskly – 93,6%, Hovtva, Pamyaty Leonida Myhalevskoho – 92,6%. The pick off effort required to collect berries out of their clusters for all varieties but Yarynka was within acceptable range of 67...129 g. By effort applied for berries crush only Yarynka has failed to meet the necessary requirements. All the varie­ ties but Yarynka have been found suitable by growth habit of their bush (upright and semi-spread). Insufficient number fruits (6-7 pc.) in clusters for varieties Narodna and Yarynka was noted. Berries weight for all studied varieties ranged within 1.27-1.84 g, their drop-off was 3-8%, duration of harvesting period ranged from 8 to 10 days, so all the parameters of varieties suggested they were suitable for picking berries by berry harvesters. Varieties Dochka Vorskly, Universitetska, Hovtva, Pamyatna, Premiera, Narodna, Leleka and Pamyaty Leonida Myhalevskoho were selected as suitable for combine harvesting by the complex of positive parameters. | В статье приведены результаты трехлетнего изучения пригодности к механизированному способу уборки ягод сортов смородины, селекции кафедры садоводства НУБиП Украины. Черная смородина – наиболее распространенная ягодная культура в Украине. При закладке интенсивных промышленных насаждений подбирают сорта, пригодные для механизированного сбора урожая. На протяжении 2006–2008 гг. проводились исследования по изучению лимитированных и нелимитированных признаков пригодности сортов селекции НУБиП Украины к комбайновому сбору ягод. Все показатели исследуемых сортов сравнивались с требованиями идеального сорта. Одновременное созревание ягод наблюдалось у сортов Дочка Ворсклы – 93,6%, Говтва, Памяти Леонида Михалевского – 92,6%. Усилия отрыва ягод от кисти у всех сортов, кроме сорта Ярынка было 67–129 г, что находится в пределах допустимого. По усилию раздавливания ягод только сорт Ярынка не соответствует необходимым параметрам. По форме куста (прямостоячий и полуразвесистый) все сорта пригодны, за исключением сорта Ярынка. Недостаточное количество ягод в кисти (6–7 шт.) отмечено у сортов Народна и Ярынка. Масса ягоды всех исследуемых сортов колебалась в пределах 1,27–1,84 г, осыпание ягод составляет 3–8%, продолжительность уборочной спелости ягод колебалась от 8 до 10 дней – по этим показателям исследуемые сорта пригодны для сбора ягод комбайнами. По комплексу положительных показателей выделены пригодные к комбайновой уборке урожая сорта: Дочка Ворсклы, Университетская, Говтва, Памятна, Премьера, Народна, Лэлэка и Памяти Леонида Михалевского. | У статті наведено результати трирічного вивчення придатності до механізованого способу збирання ягід сортів смородини селекції кафедри садівництва НУБіП України. Чорна смородина – найпоширеніша ягідна культура в Україні. За закладання інтенсивних промислових насаджень добираються сорти, придатні для механізованого збору врожаю. Впродовж 2006–2008 рр. проводилися дослідження щодо вивчення лімітованих і нелімітованих ознак придатності сортів селекції НУБіП України до комбайнового збирання ягід. Усі показники досліджуваних сортів порівнювалися із вимогами ідеального сорту. Одночасне достигання ягід спостерігалась у сортів Дочка Ворскли – 93,6%, Говтва, Пам’яті Леоніда Михалевського – 92,6%. Зусилля для відриву ягід від грона в усіх сортів, окрім Яринка, становило 67–129 г, що знаходиться в межах допустимого. За зусиллям роздушування ягід лише сорт Яринка не відповідає необхідним параметрам. За формою куща (пряморосла та напіврозлога) всі сорти є придатними, за винятком сорту Яринка. Недостатня кількість ягід у гроні (6–7 шт.) відмічена у сортів Народна і Яринка. Маса ягоди у всіх досліджуваних сортів варіювала в межах 1,27–1,84 г, осипання ягід становить 3–8%, тривалість збиральної стиглості ягід коливалась від 8 до 10 днів – за всіма показниками сорти є придатними для збирання ягід комбайнами. За комплексом позитивних показників виділено придатні до комбайнового збирання врожаю сорти: Дочка Ворскли,  Університетська, Говтва, Пам’ятна, Прем’єра, Народна, Лелека та Пам’яті Леоніда Михалевського.

In the article the authors show outcome of three years observation of blackcurrant varieties bred by Study Horticulture Department NULES of Ukraine for their suitabi­ lity to machine harvesting. Blackcurrant is the most common berry crop in Ukraine. When establishing intensive industrial plantations the varieties suitable for machine harvesting should be used. During 2006-2008 limited and unlimited traits of varieties bred by NULES of Ukraine suitability to combine harvesting were studied. All parameters of the examined varieties were compared against the requirements of the «ideal variety”. Simultaneous ripening of berries was observed in varieties Dochka Vorskly – 93,6%, Hovtva, Pamyaty Leonida Myhalevskoho – 92,6%. The pick off effort required to collect berries out of their clusters for all varieties but Yarynka was within acceptable range of 67...129 g. By effort applied for berries crush only Yarynka has failed to meet the necessary requirements. All the varie­ ties but Yarynka have been found suitable by growth habit of their bush (upright and semi-spread). Insufficient number fruits (6-7 pc.) in clusters for varieties Narodna and Yarynka was noted. Berries weight for all studied varieties ranged within 1.27-1.84 g, their drop-off was 3-8%, duration of harvesting period ranged from 8 to 10 days, so all the parameters of varieties suggested they were suitable for picking berries by berry harvesters. Varieties Dochka Vorskly, Universitetska, Hovtva, Pamyatna, Premiera, Narodna, Leleka and Pamyaty Leonida Myhalevskoho were selected as suitable for combine harvesting by the complex of positive parameters.

In the article the authors show outcome of three years observation of blackcurrant varieties bred by Study Horticulture Department NULES of Ukraine for their suitabi­ lity to machine harvesting. Blackcurrant is the most common berry crop in Ukraine. When establishing intensive industrial plantations the varieties suitable for machine harvesting should be used. A complex assessment has been completed for fresh products of onion for 9 different varieties by the content of basic biochemical, biological, economic, organoleptic characteristics with the view of determining the most suitable for drying. Varieties are singled out , which bulbs accumulate the biggest dry matter, sugar, C vitamin content and display the highest yield of consumable products. Assessment of dry products against the set of organoleptic and technological indicators has been completed. This revealed loss of basic biochemical components of onions during drying and long-term storage of dried products, as well as established increasing of the content of dry matters and acids and decreasing of that of sugars and vitamin C while storing the dried onion. Проведена комплексная оценка свежей продукции девяти сортов лука репчатого по содержанию основных биохимических, хозяйственноиологических, органолептических показателей с целью подбора наиболее подходящих для сушки. Выделены сорта, луковицы которых накапливают самое большое количество сухого вещества, сахаров, витамина С, характеризуются наибольшим выходом готовой продукции. Проведена оценка сухой продукции по комплексу органолептических и технологических показателей. Выявлено потери основных биохимических компонентов луковиц во время сушки и в процессе длительного хранения готовой продукции. Установлено, что при хранении сушеного лука содержание сухого вещества и кислот возрастает, а сахаров и витамина С уменьшается. По комплексу исследуемых показателей выделены самые пригодные для сушки сорта лука репчатого Гармония и Сквырська. | Наведено результати дослідження придатності цибулі ріпчастої різних сортів, вирощеної в умовах Лісостепу України, до переробки. Проведена комплексна оцінка свіжої продукції цибулі ріпчастої 9 різних сортів за вмістом основних біохімічних, господарсько-біологічних, органолептичних показників із метою підбору найпридатніших для сушіння. Виділено сорти, цибулини яких нагромаджують найбільше сухої речовини, цукрів, вітаміну С, характеризуються найбільшим виходом готової продукції. Проведена оцінка сухої продукції за комплексом органолептичних та технологічних показників. Виявлено втрати основних біохімічних компонентів цибулин під час сушіння та в процесі тривалого зберігання готової продукції. Встановлено, що протягом зберігання сушеної цибулі вміст сухої речовини та кислот зростає, а цукрів та вітаміну С зменшується. Blackcurrant varieties (Ribes nigrum L.) market in Ukraine has been monitored. The article discloses approaches to the development in Ukraine of this botanical taxon, as well as shows how the peculiarities of blackcurrant varieties DUS test along with taking into account economical characteristics of research entities of the NAAS of Ukraine as established. It details the procedure for adoption decision on an application (acquisition of proprietary rights of intellectual property for plant variety). Nowadays (priority ) and the most essential breeding vectors are set. A scientific rationale is given to the developments, management, maintenance of blackcurrant, common knowledge varieties database and its utilization in the wild for the official registration of proprietary rights on a plant variety. The article also discloses methodological aspects for singling out and the development of varieties displaying example characteristics of vegetative and generative organs of the blackcurrant for the purpose of uniformity test in the course of new varieties identification for the above introducent. | Проведен мониторинг сортов смородины черной в Украине. Раскрыты пути формирования национальных сортових ресурсов этого ботанического таксона. Обоснованы особенности проведения квалификационной експертизы сортов смородины черной по определению отличимости, однородности и стабильности с учетом хозяйственно-ценных характеристик сортов научно-исследовательских учреждений НААН. Проведено детальное описание процедуры принятия решения по заявке (получение имущественных прав интелектуальной собственности на сорт). Определены современные (приоритетные) и самые важные направления селекции. Методически обосновано формирование, ведение, поддержание коллекции общеизвестных сортов смородины черной и ее практическое использование в целях государственной регистрации имущественных прав на сорт. 500 O-type lines of sugar beet hybrid components were studied according to their main economically valuable characteristics, namely, one-seed structure, germination readiness, productivity, sugar content and sugar yield. 13 best features were determined, herewith one-seed structure of most tested genotypes was observed at the level of 92-99% which appeared to be of nearly the same level during all the years of the research. On that ground they were included into the program for further research. The weight of seeds of the researched numbers ranged from 13,3 to 22,2 gr. The productivity of the researched O-type lines varied from 40,1 to 45,2 tons per hectare. Herewith, the highest productivity index was observed in 664bk 6 line with the average index 42,7 tons per hectare which ensured sugar yield 7,59 tons per hectare. The results of the research into the influence of low temperatures on seed germination readiness and capacity of O-type sugar beet lines were given. All the researched materials readily respond to conditions of germination and the seed germination readiness and germination capacity directly depend on the temperature. However, high indices of seed germination readiness and capacity under low temperatures is an essential feature of parent breeding materials in the breeding process while creating new hybrids which can be grown by means of intensive technologies. This will make it possible to sow heterosis sugar beet hybrids in earlier terms. It was suggested to use the best lines as parent components for development of heterosis hybrids which are able to ensure seed germination under low temperatures. | Изучено 500 линий О-типа компонентов гибридов сахарной свеклы за основными хозяйственноенными признаками – односемянностью, энергией прорастания, продуктивностью, сахаристостью и сбором сахара. Выделено 13 лучших, при этом, односемянность большинства испытываемых генотипов было зафиксировано на уровне 92–99 %, которая за годы проведения испытаний не отличалась. На этом основании они были включены в дальнейшую программу испытаний. Масса 1000 семян изученных номеров варьировалась в пределах 13,3–22,2 г. Собственная продуктивность испытываемых линий О-типа варьировалась в пределах 40,1–45,2 т/га. При этом наибольший показатель урожайности отмечено у линий 664бк 6 при среднем показателе 42,7 т/га, что обеспечило сбор сахара на уровне 7,59 т/га. Приведено результаты изучения влияния пониженных температур на энергию прорастания и схожесть семян линий О-типа сахарной свеклы. Все исследуемые материалы достаточно активно реагируют на условия проращивания, а энергии прорастания и всхожесть семян находятся в прямой зависимости от температуры. Однако, в селекционной работе при создании гибридов, которые приспособлены к условиям выращивания за интенсивными технологиями, важным признаком исходного селекционного материала есть обеспечение высоких показателей энергии прорастания и всхожести семян при пониженных температурах, что даст возможность сеять гетерозисные гибриды сахарной свеклы в более ранние сроки. Предлагается использовать лучшие линии в качестве материнских компонентов для создания гетерозисных гибридов, которые обеспечат прорастание семян при пониженных температурах. | Вивчено 500 ліній О-типу компонентів гібридів цукрових буряків за основними господарськоцінними ознаками – однонасінністю, енергією проростання, продуктивністю, цукристістю та збором цукру. Виділено 13 кращих, при цьому, однонасінність більшості випробовуваних генотипів було зафіксовано на рівні 92–99%, яка істотно за роки проведення досліджень не відрізнялась. На цій підставі вони включені у подальшу програму досліджень. Маса 1000 насінин вивчених номерів варіювались у межах 13,3–22,2 г. Власна продуктивність досліджуваних ліній О-типу варіювала у межах 40,1–45,2 т/га. При цьому найвищий показник урожайності відмічено у лінії 664бк 6 при середньому показнику 42,7 т/га, що забезпечило збір цукру на рівні 7,59 т/га. Наведено результати вивчення впливу понижених температур на енергію проростання та схожість насіння ліній О-типу цукрових буряків. Усі досліджувані матеріали досить активно реагують на умови пророщування, а енергія проростання та схожість насіння знаходиться у прямій залежності від температури. Однак, у селекційній роботі за створення гібридів, придатних до вирощування за інтенсивними технологіями, важливою ознакою вихідних селекційних матеріалів є забезпечення високих показників енергії проростання та схожості за понижених температур, що дасть змогу висівати гетерозисні гібриди цукрових буряків у більш ранні строки. Пропонується використання кращих ліній в якості материнських компонентів для створення гетерозисних гібридів, здатних забезпечувати проростання насіння за низьких температур.

The article highlights potential features for the varieties of vegetable bean and actual losses of yield subject to the total amount of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) received over the vegetation period in the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. It is established that the potential of the vegetable bean yield in Ukraine depends on PAR received over the vegetation period. All the varieties had their yield upon receiving PAR higher by 0,26-0,41 t / ha compared to that of control. Potential yield of vegetable bean varieties when PAR is used by 2% amounted to 57.25–59.30 t / ha, which was 2.2–3.6 times more than their actual yield. The smallest actual yield loss compared to that potential was inherent in the varieties of Bartoli and Windsor (2.2–2.3 times). The actual yield losses for Karadag and Karestyno varieties were the highest, namely 3.6 times higher compared to the potential prospect. | Освещены потенциальные возможности сортов боба овощного и фактические потери урожайности в зависимости от суммарного поступления фотоактивной радиации за вегетационный период в зоне Лесостепи Украины. Установлено, что потенциально возможная урожайность боба овощного зависела от суммарного прихода ФАР за вегетационный период. У всех сортов потенциально возможная урожайность за поступлением ФАР была больше на 0,26–0,41 т/га по сравнению с контролем. Потенциальная урожайность сортов боба овощного при 2% использования ФАР составляла 57,25–59,30 т/га, что в 2,2–3,6 раза больше по сравнению с их фактической урожайностью. Наименьшей потерей фактической урожайности по сравнению с потенциальной характеризовались сорта Бартоли и Виндзорские (в 2,2–2,3 раза). У сортов Карадаг и Карестино потери фактической урожайности были большими в 3,6 раза по сравнению с потенциально возможной | Висвітлено потенційні можливості сортів бобу овочевого та фактичні втрати врожайності залежно від сумарного надходження фотосинтетично активної радіації за вегетаційний період у зоні Лісостепу України. Встановлено, що потенційно можлива урожайність бобу овочевого залежала від сумарного приходу ФАР за вегетаційний період. У всіх сортів потенційно можлива врожайність за надходженням ФАР була більшою на 0,26–0,41 т/га порівняно з контролем. Потенційна врожайність сортів бобу овочевого за 2% використання ФАР становила 57,25–59,30 т/га, що в 2,2–3,6 рази більше порівняно з їхньою фактичною врожайністю. Найменшою втратою фактичної врожайності порівняно з потенційною характеризувалися сорти Бартолі та Віндзорські (в 2,2–2,3 рази). У сортів Карадаг і Карестино втрати фактичної врожайності були найбільшими у 3,6 рази порівняно з потенційно можливою.
