Spatial and temporal dynamics of cellulolytic microorganisms in Vlasina [water] reservoir [Serbia, Yugoslavia]
1998
Comic, Lj. | Curcic, S. | Rankovic, B. (Prirodno-matematicki fakultet, Kragujevac (Yugoslavia). Institut za biologiju)
Processes of transformation of organic matter are slowed down so that cellulose which originates from cell walls of Sphagnum is retained long in unchanged form. The highest valises of cellulolytic bacteria (0.33-126.67 bact/ml) were recorded in October. In most cases slightly active species were found, Cellvibrio fulvus was dominant. The participation of fungi in cellulolytic community was significant 23-31.5.

2001
Milosevic, S. (HK Gosa, Smederevska Palanka (Yugoslavia). Gosa institut)
Microbiological examination have been carried within the comprehensive hydrobiological investigation of Grosnica reservoir (Serbia, Yugoslavia) during 1997 and 1998. The aim of investigation was to establish the dynamics and fluctuation of specific physiological group. Grosnica reservoir with its microbial features belongs to quality class 1st-2nd according to Kohl. The comparison of bacteria community varies during the year depending of physicochemical features of a environment and the state of other facts in biocenosis. Dominant bacteria are facultative oligotrophic. The larger number of heterotrophic bacteria is in spring time only. Phosphomineralizers and proteolytic bacteria are present in the large number at the beginning of year, amylolytic bacteria are numerable during the summer and autumn. Number of nitrogen fixing bacteria and aerobic cellulolytic bacteria are changed depending on a season, too.

2003
Novevska, V. | Vasileska, A. (Hidrobioloski zavod, Ohrid (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia))
Water quality analyses were performed on littoral water samples, collected on Lake Ohrid in 2002 (January, February, June, July, August and September). Several microbiological parameters were compared. The number of Escherichia coli, the number of organotrophic bacteria and the phosphatase activity index were measured. Samples were collected along the shore of Lake Ohrid, i.e. at the village of Pestani, at Hotel Metropol, in Ohrid Bay and at the lake inflow of River Velgoska. The results of the study show that the different parameters are not compatible in terms of water quality characterization. The differences found are discussed below.

2003
Regner, D. | Vuksanovic, N. | Stjepcevic, B. | Joksimovic, D. (Institut za biologiju mora, Kotor (Serbia and Montenegro))
In this paper, results of seasonal investigations throughout 2002, important for evaluation of the eutrophication and bacterial pollution of the Montenegrin coastal sea were presented. It was established that the difference between warmer and colder periods of the year was highest in the part of the Montenegrin coastal sea exposed to the strongest impact of the open waters of the Southern Adriatic.

2003
Lokoska, L. (Hidrobioloski zavod, Ohrid (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia))
During 2001, water from river Cerava and from the littoral where the river flow into lake Ohrid, were examined. Bacteriological analysis included ecological and sanitary aspekt of water state. Heterotrophic, proteolytic, amylolytic and phosphomineralizing bacteria, most probable number of total coliforms (MPN) and presence of Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens were determined. The results of investigations shows organic and faecal pollution and permanent negative anthropogenic effects.

2003
Bobic, M. (Institut za vode d.o.o., Bijeljina, Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina))
In the scope of complex physical-chemical and biological water examination of Bocac water reservoir, the river Vrbas and trbutaries Ugar and Crna Rijeka, examination of standard microbiological indexes of water quality (aerobic organotrophs at 22-26 deg C and 37 deg C, total colliforms and colliforms of fecal origin) was performed during 2002 (March-November). Number of examined microbiological parameters was mainly in the scope of the 2nd water category (beta-mesosaprobic water) with worse water quality in upstream part of the reservoir. Ugar tributary had the best water quality, while Crna Rijeka had the worst status with obvious anthropogenic influence.
Show more [+] Less [-]Bacteriological water quality control of river Koselska
2003
Lokoska, L. (Hidrobioloski zavod, Ohrid (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia))
Bacteriological examination have been carried out within the comprehensive hydrochemical and hydrobiological investigation of river Koselska during 2002. The aim of investigations is to confirm condition of bacteriological communities and water quality of river Koselska. The results of investigations shows pollution by organic matter. In order to prevent further eutrophication processes, certain measures of river water protection and conservation should be undertaken. Also, the regular monitoring of water quality should be established.
Show more [+] Less [-]Multiannual ecological investigations in the Montenegrin coastal sea [Adriatic sea, Montenegro (Serbia and Montenegro)] and their importance for estimation of the sea-water quality
2005
Regner, D. E-mail:dregner@cg.ac.yu | Vuksanovic, N. | Stjepcevic, B. | Joksimovic, D.(Institut za biologiju mora, Kotor (Serbia and Montenegro))
In this paper, there were discussed the results of ecological investigation of the Montenerin part of the Adriatic sea during the period 1996-2003. Evaluation of the sea-water quality was done in the coastal sea. The importance of multiannual ecological investigations was emphasized, too.

2005
Radonjic, D. | Joksimovic, N.(Institut za javno zdravlje, Podgorica (Serbia and Montenegro))
During the 2004 research of Moraca river water quality was conducted onto six localities: Pernica, Zlatica, Gradska plaza, Kolektor, Grbavci and Vukovci. Physical, chemical and microbiological properties were analyzed. Physical and chemical analyses done were: water temperature, air temperature, pH, electro-conductivity, KMnO4 consumption, dissolved O2 and BCO5 (biological consumption of oxygen in five days). Microbiological analysis included determination of the total number of aerobic mezophyll bacteria, oligotrophic and heterotrophic bacteria, as well as the most probable number of colliform bacteria. In addition to distribution and population dynamics, identification of the bacteria was also done. Microbiological water analysis were performed using standard bacteriologic methods and identification of the bacteria using INVIC or, when needed, using API diagnostics.
