Zooplankton community analysis was conducted for spring (April - 07) and summer (August - 07) in Boka Kotorska Bay. Analyses included determination of biomass and qualitative composition. Data are given on the number of specimens per cubic meter as well as on the volume organisms. Qualitative composition showed domination Copepoda of zooplanktons groups.

In the scope of complex water quality analysis of the Bocac reservoir, as well as rivers which flow into and out of the Bocac reservoir (Vrbas, Crna Rijeka) during the period from May to September 2008, the contents and the dynamics of the phyto and zooplankton were analyzed as biological parameters. The qualitative contents of the phytoplankton includes 5 divisions of total 27 taxa from 16 species; the tributaries contain 30 taxa from 19 genuses. The zooplankton (Rotatoria, Cladocera and Copepoda) contain 22 taxa from 16 genuses; the tributaries contain 32 taxa from 19 genuses with huge dominance of the Rotatoria species. Researches of the Zelengora natural lakes during 2008 were performed in Orlovacko, Kotlanicko and the Lake Donje Bare. Water quality analysis of natural lakes of Zelengora were based on preliminary examination of basic physical and chemical parameters, as well as microbiological parameters. In the scope of biological examinations, phytoplankton, zooplankton and benthic fauna were determined. Due to the lack of data on biodiversity of examined natural lakes and whole area of National park Sutjeska results obtained in this research could only represent the first step toward further examinations, as well as the nature and biodiversity preservation in the Republic of Srpska.

During the first five months of 2007 at one station in front of the entrace the Bay of Boka Kotorska, it was collected mesozooplankton using Nansen net, mesh netting of 200 microns. Analyses included determination of biomass and qualitative composition. Data are given on the number of specimens per cubic meter as well as on the volume organisms. Qualitative composition showed domination Copepoda of zooplankton groups.

During the continuous analysis of zooplankton and hydrographic quality of sea in Boka Kotorska bay in season series during 2007/08, in addition to the other zooplanktons groups, fauna was analyzed, the appearance and abundance of Siphonophorae. Special attention was applied to biodiversity, dynamic abundance and distribution of group. In this paper we are exposing the data for abundance and distribution of group of Siphonophorae from Boka Kotorska Bay. We have found six species of which only the species Muggiaea cochi (W and l l) can be located throughout the year at all stations and in shallow stations only in summer. The other species Lensia conoidea (Keferstein et Ehlers), Lensia multicristata (Moser), Lensia subtilis (Chun), Lensia fowleri (Bigelow), Abylopsis tetragona (Otto) occur rarely in small numbers or in individual specimens.

The paper gives the results of the analyses of ichthyoplankton assemblages and distribution in Boka Kotorska Bay during July of 2006. Investigation was conducted on 18 positions. Fifteen different species was determine in total. The relation between ichthyoplankton assemblages and abiotic and biotic environmental factors was analysed.

Research of the seasonal dynamics of the zooplankton abundance was carried out during the two-year period from January 2005 to December 2006. The sampling took place in monthly intervals from five different sites from the surface to the bottom of the lake. Taking into concidertion the temperature and oxygen regime the division on the epilimnion and hipolimnion was found out. Significant numerous in the total abundance of the zooplankton accomplish taxa Daphnia sp., Bosmina sp. and Cyclops sp. Zooplankton is more abundant in the epilimnium, in the layer with more favourable temperature and oxygen regime comparing with hipolimnium. Presence of the zooplankton has been recorded in the lack of the oxygen in hipolimnium during summer months. After the elimination following the heavy rains, the hasty increase of the zooplankton numerous was recorded. Abundance of the zooplankton was higher was in shallow parts of the lake in the area of the mouth comparing the sites close the dam. This research has shown that the zooplankton was present in all parts of the lake during entire year, especially in the epilimnion that characterizes with the favourable temperature and oxygen conditions.

During the study we recorded narrow margins between zooplankton distribution and the ecological characteristics of water in Bokakotorska Bay (Adriatic sea, Montenegro). Various species show different vulnerability to environment quality. Some are defined as indicators, with low tolerance for the ecological variation of environment, and their distribution is limited to the particular type of water masses within the sea. The limiting factors are different for various species, and their indicator status is determined by their distribution. The indicator type, based on monitoring of particular species, may define a biotope, with the help of statistical analyses that identify the main time and spacial behavior patterns of a species, and my allow future ecosystem changes to be anticipated. In this paper we paid particular attention to the indicator species Oithona nana (Giesbrecht).

In this paper the results of zooplankton investigations (and its dominant group Copepoda) were presented from the part of the Boka Kotorska Bay with more intensive circulation with the open sea, from summer of 2005. Some results from the open South Adriatic were given, too - from the frontal zone exposed to anthropogenic eutrophication of Bojana and Drim rivers, and the impact of oligotrophic South Adriatic, simultaneously.

A great floristic variety has been noted according to qualitative analysis of phytoplankton. The presence of 187 taxa from 7 divisions of algae has been noted. The results of quantitative analysis show the dominance of centric diatoms. The high values of biomass that point out on the trophicity increase are noted on the strech from Nestin to Zemun (Serbia) with the maximum at Centa (Serbia) with 15,885 mg/cubic dm. Downstream Zemun, it has been noted gradual decrease of biomass up to Pancevo (Serbia), and afterwards downstream the considerable reduction all the way up to Brnjica (Serbia), where the value of algal biomass was 1,697 mg/cubic dm.
