Determination of Technical Efficiency of Soybean Producing Enterprises in Adana, Turkey

In this study, input oriented efficiency analysis of soybean growing in Adana province was performed. Data were collected from 84 farmers with face to face survey method by using stratified sampling method. In the analysis of data economic analysis of soybean production was performed and after input use efficiency in soybean production was analysed by Data Envelopment Analysis. In addition, the distribution of expenditure and income components is examined according to the status of the enterprises being efficiency. According to the analysis results, the average soybean area width in Adana province is 121.78 and average soybean yield 430 kg/da calculated as. According to DEA with input oriented, technical efficiency was calculated as 0.881, pure technical efficiency as 0.950 and scale efficiency as 0.920.

One of the most important factors that increase soil fertility is the amount of soil organic matter. One of the ways to increase soil organic matter is the addition of organic fertilizers. Yemsoy soybean cultivar was used in the study, and pot study was carried out in 3 replications according to the randomized blocks experimental design. In the study, three different fertilizer doses (EC 0- 0.5- 1), three different grape pomace compost (0- 20-40 %) were applied to the peat perlite mixture, and mycorrhiza and bacteria inoculation to these environments. At the end of a 60-day growing period, the plants were harvested from the top of the pot, and measurements were made. In the study, there was an increase in the above-ground fresh and dry weights, root fresh, and root dry weights of soybean plants grown with increasing fertilizer rates. The addition of compost to the growing medium, the addition of mycorrhiza, and bacteria caused different results in the investigated properties. The increase in compost and plant nutrition doses was effective in increasing plant growth.

Ruminant hayvanların beslenmesinde kullanılan rasyonlar belirli oranlarda kaba ve kesif yem içermelidir. Besin madde içeriği bakımından zengin olan kesif yemler genelde rasyon maliyetini artırmaktadır. Hayvancılık işletmelerinde bu yüksek maliyetten kurtulmak kaliteli kaba yem üretimine bağlıdır. Ülkemizde faaliyet gösteren hayvancılık işletmeleri yem (besleme) maliyetlerinin azaltılması ve ürün kalitesinin yükseltilmesi amacı ile farklı kaba yem arayışı içindedirler. Bu çalışmanın konusunu teşkil eden soya bitkisi, ruminant rasyonlarında hasıl veya silaj formunda kullanılma potansiyeli olan bir kaba yem türüdür. Bir baklagil yem bitkisi olan soya bitkisi protein içeriğinin yüksek olması (yaklaşık %20) ile kaba yem grubu yemler içinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Soya bitkisi bu özelliği ile ruminant rasyonlarında temel protein kaynağı olarak kullanılan bazı yem kaynaklarının bir kısmı yerine ikame edilebilmektedir. Nitekim bazı çalışmalarda soya silajının en kaliteli protein kaynağı olarak kabul edilen soya küspesinin yerine bile kısmen de olsa kullanılabileceği ortaya konulmuştur. Bu derlemede soya bitkisinin ruminant rasyonlarında kaba yem kaynağı (hasıl ve silaj) olarak kullanılma potansiyeli hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.

In this study, it was aimed to increase grain yield and grain zinc content by foliar application of zinc in different soybean varieties. In this study, umut-2002, altınay and cinsoy cultivars were used as material and foliar zinc application (0-60 kg ha-1) was applied to these cultivars. In the study, plant height, first pod height, leaf chlorophyll content, number of pods per plant, number of pods per pod, 100-seed weight, grain yield, grain protein content and grain zinc ratio were measured. This increase was also observed in grain protein content and grain zinc content. Among the varieties, the highest grain yield was obtained from the Umut-2002 variety, while the highest protein content was measured from the Altıny variety.
