Assets and financial situation in the companies of agricultural primary production in Slovakia

This paper analyses assets and liability structure on the selected data set from the primary agricultural production in Slovakia. Accounting is presented as a complex foundation, information system, which provides information for decision-making and company management. The source of input data are accounting records generating statements of finances. The theme of the paper is selected issues of balance sheet analysis. The results of the research show unfavorable total assets development. The index 2000/1999 has the value 96.7. There are long-term problems in liabilities volume and structure. Equity capital stagnates. Borrowed capital decrease because of the decreas in loans. Loans were 2 741 SKK/ha in 2000. Most of the companies are in primary insolvency position, when payables after maturity are twice higher than receivables after maturity.

The article was written on the base of research results concerning economic development of several selected Czech agricultural companies. In dependence on the altitude, the sample was divided into two sub-samples: companies of production areas and companies of marginal areas. Various economic indicators were monitored in these two sub-samples, the most important one being the economic result before tax. Other monitored indicators are closely related to this one - e.g. the required profit ratio, structure of the economic result, tax impact on the economic result. Other monitored indicators were: the structure of the revenue, productivity of labour, labour technical equipment, capital efficiency and other. Time comparison (development during several recent years; comparison between production and marginal areas) and space comparison of these two sub-samples were carried out. In its conclusion, this article evaluates the history of the hitherto development.

Animal production presents the higher phase of agricultural production. The participation of animal products in agricultural production is perceived in this paper. Significance of animal production is shown by comparison of animal production and crop production which are the most important branches of agricultural production. The analyse includes informations about trends of agricultural production in the Vojvodina Province (Serbia) during the 1990 - 1999 period.

The analysis of changes in the structure of agricultural production in private farms keeping agricultural accountancy in the years 1980-99 was done in the paper. It was shown that the share of cereals in the cropping pattern increases in analysed period, whereas the share of potato and feed crops decreases. A significant drop of farm animal stock, mainly cattle and sheep, was observed. The use of mineral fertilizers (NPK) decreased. The crop production become a dominant element in the structure of agricultural production

Efficiency analysis of cooking stoves for household industry such as mushroom stove, pork skin cracker stove, Thai rice noodle stove, paper mulberry stove and noodle stove in the Chaing Mai and Chiang Rai provinces has been carried out in this research work. Biomass has been used as a fuel of these stoves. From the surveying it is found that there are approximately 3155 stoves and using more than 50,655.29 tons of biomass in each year which equal to 861,309.93 GJ per year. From the energy analysis, it is found that efficiencies of mushroom stove, pork skin cracker stove, Thai rice noodle stove, paper mulberry stove and noodle stove equal to 31.03 percent, 24.92 percent, 23.62 percent, 35.25 percent and 32.54 percent respectively. Moreover, the gas analyzer shows that the CO content in flue gas higher than 1,500 ppm result from incomplete combustion. The improvement methods are also presented in this research work.

The analysis of regional differentiation of crop production on the area of Podlaskie voivodeship was done in the paper. The natural conditions expressed by evaluation index of agricultural area, as well as economic and organizational conditions were taken into account. In particular rural gminas they were evidently differentiated.
