In a tie-up cowhouse, an existing milking machine for use with pails has been changed in a pipeline milking installation plus auxiliary equipment for signalization and automatic cluster removal. The achieved results, like increased capacity, working relief and quality improvement are being discussed. With the new installation one person could milk 38 and 50 cows per hour with resp. four and six clusters
