The sugarcane setts planting materials were artificially inoculated with the pathogen prior to the fungicide pre-plant dip setts, disease incidence after germination, number of shoots per hill, and plant height, in 250 or 1000 ppm guazatine treatments were not significantly different from that of the 100 ppm benomyl standard control treatment. Data indicated that guazatine may be used for controlling pineapple disease of sugarcane
