Effect of foods on the sex-ratio of Tribolium confusum duval (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

The percentages of males and females were 48.99 and 51.01, 37.29 and 62.71, 39.47 and 60.53 and 31.37 and 68.63 on wholemeal, gram, pea and red lentil flours respectively. Statistical analyses showed that only red lentil flour produced a significantly higher number of females (X2 = 13.88 with 3 D.F., P 0.01)
