Meat and milk production of Thai native goats, 1: estrus and ovulation

16 heifers and does of Thai native goats, age 1 1/2 years old were confined to study their reproductive phenomenons. The results were as follows: (1) estrus cycle which was observed from 10 heifers and does for 13 cycles, showed the average of 18.23 +- 4.40 days and a range of 7 to 22 days. (2) estrus period which was observed from heifers and does for 18 periods, showed the average of 34.06 +- 8.91 hours and a range of 10 to 48 hours
