This paper describes cases of acute septicaemic process of colibacillosis of calves. Colibacillosis appeared in a farm in SR Bosnia and Herzegovina (SFRY) in July 1981 in 7-10-day-old calves which were put into separate"beds" immediately after calving. In 4 days, 8 out of 25 calves died. Out of the 25 sick calves, 14 showed moderate or notable clinical symptoms of the disease. All calves were given vitamin-mineral preparations after 2 colostrums and antibiotic (Rodovet) was given also. The sick calves were given antibiotics of a wide spectrum of impact. The 8 calves that died did not show signs of recovery after the therapy. On the basis of thorough post-mortem investigations it was found that the type of enteropathogenic bacterium Escheriachia coli, belonging to the polivalent C-group, was also present. Apart from the characteristic clinical symptoms, Zenker's muscular dystrophy, varied scope of bleeding, serous-purulent phlegmons and abscess-formations in the muscular interstice(the reason why these cases appear) were noticed. The authors of the supplement assume that the disease with the described changes occurred due to lower resistance of the animals cused by unbalanced and defficient feeding of cows during pregnancy, bad zoohygienic conditions and insufficient workers'care of the newly-born calves.
