Health state of sheep grazed in Sudety region pastures fertilized intensively with nitrogen

Fertilization with 120 or 140 kgN per ha had no effect on biochemical and haematological values in grazing sheep. Higher dose (240 kgN per kg) induced a decline in the content of blood albumin and chlorides and an increase in the activity of blood alkaline phosphatase and aspartate aminotransferase. Also, a decrease in the concentration of blood urea and gamma-globulins was observed
