Microbiological investigation was concerned with determination of the number of bacteria, Actinomyces, fungi, proteolytic, lipolytic, amylolytic microorganisms, sulphur reducing bacteria, nitrification and Clostridium titre and activity of cellulose decomposition. The results indicate changes in soils under industrial emission, expressed by the reduction of the number of bacteria, Actinomyces, proteolytic and amylolytic microorganisms at the simultaneous growth of the number of sulphur reducing bacteria
