Results of bull's evaluation by means of the C.C. [contemporary comparison] method

In 1983 835 bulls were tested by the C.C. method with regard to the milk traits. The progeny test of bulls was based on 75673 data of lactation of heifers. The tests were based on the progeny groups which averaged 39 daughters (31.7 effective ones). Their yields were compared with the mean performance of 421.6 contemporaries. In 1983 487 bulls were tested for the first time. 23.7% of them were alive and their average age was 6 years and 10 months. 210 bulls, i.e. 25% of all tested in 1983, were tested with positive results for both fat yield and fat content
