"Burdin A672" "Chenin blanc-4" and "Landot" wine grape bud were treated to determine the effect of 20% calciumcyanamide (CaCN2) plus 50% Merit at the ratio of 1:1 (v/v) 1% (w/v) thiourea or ethylenechlorohydrin (2- chloroethanol) in water at the ratio of 1:5 (v/v) together with the number of bud per spur (5, 7 or 10 buds) on the number of bud burst and flower clusters. The result showed that the application of 20% CaCn2 plus 50% Merit at the ratio of 1:1 in "Burdin A672" and "Landot" gave the highest bud burst of 4.8 and 2.5 buds, respectively. The chemicals had no effect in "Chenin blanc-4".
