Studies on the response of groundnut [Arachis hypogaea] cv. Tainan 9 to Rhizobium inoculation and fertilizer [at Ban Muang, Ban Sum-chan, Amphoe Muang and Khon Kaen Univ., Khon Kaen, Thailand]
1985
Vorayut Sirichumpan
The results indicated that inoculation and increased level of Rhizobium, especially when supplied with fertilizer have a tendency to increase nodule numbers per plant, nodule dry weight per plant, plant dry weight, the number of pods per plant and the weight of 100 seeds. But pod dry weight did not increase significantly. However, increased level of Rhizobium inoculum tended to increase pod dry weight in the areas that had not previously been planted to groundnut, or to cowpea type Rhizobium spp. legumes, or in areas with a low Rhizobium spp. population.
