Effect of mungbean in cropping sequence

Mungbean, corn, and peanut were planted two weeks and ten months after mungbean gave lower yield, lower leaf area per plant, smaller seed size etc. than the control. The adverse effect of mungbean was not found when mungbean was planted ten months later. By contrast, corn planted two weeks after mungbean, seemed to give higher yield than the control
