The repetitiousness coefficient for the number of liveborn piglets was investigated. Data from a pig breeding farm in G. Dobrevo (SFRY) were used in the investigation. The successive litters from 94 sows of Swedish Landrace breed were comprised. The following was found: By the order of farrowing the primiparous sows' litters are the smallest (9.48). The number of liveborn piglets per litter increased gradually until the 3rd farrowing (10.50), it stagnated in the 4 th and 5 th ones (10.42 and 10.55) and then decreased until the 9 th farrowing. The number of liveborn piglets decreased suddenly in the 10 th farrowing, being close to that in the 1 st farrowing. There are significant and very significant differences between the 1 st and all other farrowings, except the 9 th and 10 th one. There are also significant differences between the 10 th and the 3 rd, 10 th and 4 th, 10 th and 5 th, 10 th and 6 th and the 10 th and 7 th farrowing. No significant differences were found among other farrowings. The repetitiousness coefficients of the number of liveborn piglets varied within wide limits of 0.0040 to 0.2630. No tendency of increase or reduction of the value of repetitiousness coefficient with the order of farrowing was noticed. The cumulative coefficient values varied from 0.0135 to 0.0521 for all ten farrowings. The obtained results offer the possibility of making earlier conclusions about the productive abilities, i.e. about the fecundity of sows, in order to keep them or leave them out of breeding.
