Inheritance studies in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)
1987
Ahuja, S.L. | Sethi, G.S.
A good fit for 3 brown spotted: 1 spotless ratio in the cross involving spotless and spotted lines indicated that brown spotting was conditioned by a single dominant gene. Tip sterility in the spike also showed monofactorial dominant inheritance in a cross involving tip sterile and tip fertile lines. A three gene control was for senescence, two of which showed duplicate recessive gene interaction when the third gene was in homozygous recessive state. The third gene conditioning normal senescence when present in dominant condition was epistatic to the two genes.
