On the distribution of beet cryptic virus in different parts of the sugar beet plant

Using immunoelectron microscopy, the concentration of beet cryptic virus (BCrV) was investigated in midribs, leaf veins and intercostal areas of old, medium-aged and young leaves of 14 carrier plant of sugar beet cv. 'Ponemo'. The BCrV content was found to increase with leaf age, but the test place did not play such an important role. This was supported by means of ELISA
