Clinical efficacy of low-dose coprostenol, a prostagland in F2 alpha analogue, in infertile conditions in cattle and buffaloes

The clinical effciacy of low-dose, 25 or 50 Mg coprostenol therapy was investigated in different clinical conditions in cattle and buffaloes. The respective oestrous and pregnancy (among those responded to oetrus) responses were 77.35 +- 0.04 and 55.97 +- 2.96% in cattle that had luteal cysts, 47.89 +- 13.57 and 54.04 +- 8.53% in cattle that had cystic follicle/s, 70.94 +- 4.15 and 56.34 +- 0.8% in cattle that had metritis and 66.7 and 64.3% in buffaloes that had metritis, 62.5 and 60.0% in cattle that had pyometra, 67.4 and 64.5% in cattle with smooth ovarian anoestrus, 48 and 75% in buffaloes with smooth ovarian anoestrus, and 89.23=1.3 and 69.60 + 4.17% in cattle with normal genitalia and 48.5 and 77.5% in buffaloes with normal genitalia
