The present study was undertaken to see the effect of LHRH and progesterone + PMSG on behavioural oestrus, ovulation and fertility in prepubertal ewe lambs. Behavioural expression of oestrus was poor in all the treatments. Progesterone + PMSG was ineffective in inducing oestrus or ovulation in prepubertal ewe lambs. However LHRH treatment induced oestrus in one out of 12 and ovulation in 2 out of 4 ewe lambs as observed on laparatomy. The single ewe lamb which evinced oestrus conceived and lambed normally. It thus appears that reproductive behaviour of prepubertal ewe lambs is not likely to be modified as a result of progesterone + PMSG treatment
