Effect of leaf detachment on growth, yield and quality of Tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum mill.) (in Iraq)

Tomato plant cultivars were grown in soil mixture made of loam and manure at a ratio of 2:1 in the greenhouse. Leaf detachments for half fully expanded leaves, fully expanded leaves and both at flowering and fruit set stages of growth were done. There was a significant reduction in plant growth. However, total yield was increased significantly. Also, total soluble solids, Ph and Vitamine C content were not significantly affected
