The study was carried out over two crops to determine the effects of different frequencies and levels of watering on the yield, bulbs number and percentage of white tip incidence of shallot grown on peat. The yield obtained indicated that daily application of water, at 12.5 mm was the best treatment for shallot grown under glasshouse condition. Bulb number per hill was not affected by the treatments. The amount of water applied did not significantly affect the percentage of white tip. However, regression analysis showed a significant linear relationship between shallot yield and percentage of white tip. A one percent reduction in white tip increased shallot yield by 12 percent
