1985
Madera, L.M.
This research was conducted in Taft Barangay High School, Taft, Tapaz, Capiz [Philippines]. The rates of application were 0, 1.5, 3, 4.5 and 6 tons per hectare of ipil-ipil leaf while the design used was Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications. The data on growth included height of corn plant and length of corn ear while yield was in terms of fresh weight of green corn in the cob and fresh weight of corn stover. All data collected were analyzed by the Analysis of Variance using F-test. Results were interpreted both at 5 percent and 1 percent levels of significance. Based on the results of the study, the growth of glutinous corn in terms of height, length of corn ears, yield in terms of fresh weight of corn ear (7.13 tons per hectare) and fresh weight of corn stover (31.32 tons per hectare) were significantly affected by the application of varying rates of ipil-ipil leaf both at 5 and 1 percent levels of significance
