Effect of flower inducer application on the nutrient of mango [Philippines]
1984
Ferrer, L.P.
Leaf analysis showed that mangoes sprayed with flower inducer had higher nutrient content than the mangoes not sprayed with chemicals. However, except for magnesium content, the difference in the nutrient contents on the leaves was not significant. Soil analysis revealed higher nutrient content on the soils planted with unsprayed mango trees. Higher pH value and magnesium contents were noted in soils planted with sprayed mango trees. Correlation analyses between the soil nutrient and the plant nutrient, specifically calcium, of unsprayed trees gave significant relationship while potassium and magnesium of the sprayed trees during the first sampling period was found highly significant. Other correlation analyses revealed no significant relationship
