Concentration of iodine (131J) in seminal fractions of experimentally contaminated rabbits

The dynamics of secretion of iodine 131J in the semen of rabbits was investigated. The isotope 131J appeared in the semen already 3 minutes after injection and was still detectable on 14th day post injection. Seminal plasma comprised the total of isotope present in the semen. On the 15th day of experiment 131J concentration was higher in prostate, penis, vas deferens and epididymis than in liver and muscle but lower than in thyroid gland. There was a correlation between 131J concentration in blood and seminal plasma
