Calves of 1 month of age were fed on different whole milk substitutes: skim-milk, skim milk enriched with Mlekopan and Mlekomix. The digestibility and nutritive value of those diets were determined. It was found that too high protein to energy ratio in those feeds made it impossible to balance the nutrient content of those diets according to requirements of Actual Standards of Feeding Farm Animals. Calves of 1 month of age fed on those milk substitutes may suffer severe deficiency of energy and even of digestible crude protein
