High rates of nitrogen fertilization resulted in an increase of organic matter content in the soil or inhibited the mineralization of organic matter. Increased nitrogen fertilization improved the quality of humus in the soil. Heavy nitrogen fertilization resulted in a decrease in the content of fulvic acids
