Effect of salinomycin and flavomycin on the intensive fattening of lambs

The investigation was carried out on 60 male lambs of Polish Longwool breed fed from 10 weeks of age on the diet with addition of salinomycin or flavomycin. The results proved that flavomycin increased the body weight by 13% and then salinomycin by 23%. Addition of these antibiotics resulted in the increase of digestibility of organic matter feed efficiency and weight of liver, however the shortness of intestines. The flavomycin influenced decreasing fat content in lamb carcasses
