[Influence of a parent plant age, root building specimens, and the reduction of leaf area transpiration, on taking root of the one-joint cuttings of Anthurium andreanum Lind.]

The age of a plant did not affect the taking root process in a considerable way. However it was evident that both greater mass and more numerous leaves were producted by the cuttings taken from the older plants. The best results in taking root were obtained when Seradix Nr 1 was used. The reduction of transpiration did not influence taking root, mass, and the number of leaves of the cuttings. (Authors)
