Optimization of cutting plants of negative stands exemplified by forest district Zednia

On the basis of a chosen object the authors present the assumptions and results of practical verification of a model for optimization of a sequence of cutting of negative stands. The method of preparing a cutting plan was discussed and two versions of it were given. In the first version of the plan the sequence of cutting was subordinated to the previously determined age of transformation. The only limitation was the range of cutting and cutting cycle. The second version of the plan apart of spacial and time limitations considered the possibilities of a forest division to fulfil a task of transformation of negative stands determined by annual yield by area. A comparison of the two versions of cutting plans showed significant differences in the extent of tasks to be performed in successive five-year periods
