The morphology and histological structures were illustrated by pictures. Toei-hom was a small shrub, the fresh leaves were fragrant. The powder characteristics of Pandanus odorus's leaf was yellowish green, salty and slighlty bitter in taste. The leaves were composed of a thick cuticle on the upper epidermal cell with paracytic type of stomata. There were two layers of hypodermis on both sides, one or two layers of palisade parenchyma under the upper hypodermis. The crystal of calcium oxalate were 3x4-7x10 microns in width and length, arranged in rows of fibers. The fragments of lignified annulo-spiral, spiral, scalariformly-pitted and reticulate vessels were 10-30 microns, wide lumen fibers were 11-20 microns and pitted fibers were 9-22 microns
