1981
Nicolaidis, M. | Papoulias, J. (Ministry of Agriculture, Athens (Greece). Forest Research Inst.)
Measurements on annual interception loss of forest stands in Northern Greece gave the following results per species in Annual Interception Loss percent, Crown Density (in tenths) and Height (in meters) respectively: Pinus brutia 29.7 %, 0.75, 14.0 m. Pinus brutia 24.7 %, 0.60, 15.0 m. Quercus conferta 8.7 %, 0.4-1.1, 9.6 m (deciduous). Quercus coccifera 27.4 %, 0.6-0.8, 1.5 m (evergreen). These results reveal a high interception loss in evergreen species, differentiating them from deciduous species from hydrological point of view
